Description of Work: I have a service contract with the company. They come out twice a year to check the heating and air conditioning systems. The services guys are punctual, polite and don't try to "hard sell" me on upgrades to the system. I would recommend them to any of my neighbors.

Description of Work: The only thing positive I can say is that they were on time and the technician was very professional. TOTAL FAIL on pricing though. Two of my a/c's went out at once. Wanted $400 for a 10 minute procedure which another company charged me $100 for. Wanted $1700 for a part which another company supplied for $1000. | |All in all, this company appears to gouge customers and assumes you won't compare pricing or shop around.

Mr. [Member name removed]: We do appreciate the opportunity to take care of your air conditioning service needs. Having reviewed both the work and pricing we quoted, I can only offer the following explanation. The repair we quoted for $400 was on your main air conditioning system. The work quoted involved reclaiming the refrigerant, pulling a vacuum on the system, replacing the missing valve core, and recharging the system with refrigerant. We take all of these steps on this type of repair to insure there can be no issues with foreign matter or moisture in the refrigerant circuit. It may be a little more time consuming than methods other companies use, but it is the proper way to do that type of repair. The $1,700 we quoted to replace the evaporator coil in your ductless mini-split system included an additional man to assist with the work. Our technician felt it best to have two people present to eliminate any chance of injury or damage, given the location of the indoor unit. We always take both our customers’ and employees’ safety and best interests in mind at all times. We have always found that many companies have pricing both higher and lower than ours. Some companies do work by time and material, others by flat rate pricing. We do guarantee all of our repairs for two years, both parts and labor. Most companies guarantee their repairs for one year or less. It is unfortunate that you feel as if our pricing is out of line. Description of Work: Blower on furnace turning on and off while furnace still running. Air Masters found the problem pretty quickly. The sensor that turns the blower on/off was out of adjustment. Service tech adjusted it. And now it works as it's suppose to. The tech explained to me what was happening and how he adjusted it. As old as this unit is (1988) I figure they would try to sell me a new system. All he did was mention how much more efficient a newer furnace would be and that was all that was said about it. No pressure sales job.

There has not been one problem since the installation of the air conditioning. These contractors also has a serviceman who comes to our house every so often to inspect and clean the unit. They do a good job of keeping it in proper working order. I do highly recommend their services. I no longer remember the price they charged us.
Description of Work: Air Masters installed a new 2 ton air conditioning unit nearly two years ago. This unit cools the upstairs of our home which is about 1500 square feet. They were able to use our existing duct work.

The new system that they put in for us has worked flawlessly. We have not found one thing that they could do a better job on. It took them about two days to get everything replaced and most of that time was replacing all of the duct work.

We've used Air Masters for several years and are quite pleased with them. They always call in advance of a visit, and do a thorough inspection. They seem professional, give us a report, and we have no problems with our heating and a/c.
