Totally satisfied with their work, every time. They're on time, they call when they're on their way. They consult professionally to work through to what I think the best option for me is - their patient in explaining what they think and in answering my questions. I like to be thorough and understand my options, so I really appreciate this quality about their folks. Then they give me a quote and perform the work. I know what I'll pay and I'm happy to do so when I get quality results. Everything is cleaned up, neatly done and my observation is that they appear to do high quality work. Very happy with the fan installation, even though it was fairly challenging to do (attic work involved). Very happy with all other work, too. It's hard to find dependable, quality service providers in Memphis. Until they show me a reason to find someone else, I'll continue to use these guys for all my electrical needs.

Arrived promptly. Was extremely polite. Looked at problem. Wrote out an estimate. Performed needed services in a very prompt and businesslike manner. Provided an estimate for a future project. Cleaned up area. Robert returned within the hour when I had a question about the dishwasher. Love this company for its up front cost quotes. Robert was our service tech and he did an excellent job and we will be hiring him again to install a pendant light. Above and Beyond is definitely who will call for our Electrical needs!

It went well, he came and fixed the problem and was done in an hour. He gave me a 16 minute window for me to be here. He gave me an estimate right on the beginning. He talked about the problem was. He was right on our account. He's pretty quick. I was pleased overall.

The owner is a honest young man who truly cares about his customers and will go out of his way to make sure they are satisfied with his companies work. The office manager Pam is a wonderful person as well. Above and Beyond is a good company with excellent customer service!!! Overall we are completely satisfied with their work and would not hesitate to use them again.

We had no issues with Above and Beyond Electric Company. They were good. They came right out, made some recommendations and things we needed to do, we followed through and everything has been great. They were very prompt. They took care of all of it for us. All of it was taken care of to our satisfaction. There was an additional cost because we asked them to do some things that weren't listed in the big deal and we were fine with that because it was a couple of electrical boxes that needed to be switched out. The price was good.

I looked at many reviews from various electrical companies, and decided to use this one. Every review was head on and I will definitely use this company again. They were quick, efficient, and fair priced. Good experience.

Initially, Above and Beyond Electric installed a 240V charger for an electric car. Their work was fine considering they had to run a circuit from one side of the house to a garage on the other side. This work was subsidized by a government agency so cost really wasn't a concern. The price seemed reasonable but a bit on the high side. Based on the other work, I asked Above and Beyond to come out to install a celing fan for the porch and an outside flood light. Both installations were a few feet from junction boxes, and I would consider these both to be standard installations. The total estimate was $691 for about 2 hours of work (and I provided the light and fan). Based on similar work I had done at a rental house, this estimate was about double what you would expect to pay. The standard rate for an electrician in Memphis is about $95 - $100 per hour, and no way will I pay what I consider to be exorbitant rates. I passed on the work and had to pay an $89 dispatch fee (unlike most companies they won't do free estimates).

Work took about four hours, but that was due to my previously digging the 18-inch deep trench which I saved myself over $200.00 digging it myself.

Great! In other cities we have lived in the electrical company (i.e. MLGW) provided whole house surge protection at the electrical meter (monthly cost of $15/month). I've been trying to get MLGW to offer the same product, but they do not do so. When I was looking for an electrician to fix a problem for us in December 2012, I noticed on Above and Beyond Electric's website they offered whole house surge protection! I was thrilled! Especially since I had such a great experience with them in December. (see my other review). The installation took only about 90 min's, and they installed the whole house surge protection inside our electrical panel. Now our entire house is protected from power spikes and surges. Great piece of mind, and my electronics are protected! While they were here, I inquired about having a photocell installed on our exterior porch light. The electrician said they could to it, but it would be visible, and would detract from the esthetics of the house. (very true) So, he recommend the installation of an automatic timer. Oh, and this could be done MUCH cheaper than my original request of a photocell. These guys are GREAT! Not only did they offer me a better solution, but they saved me a couple hundred dollars and saved the appearance of my home! I inquired if they could install them now, and was told sure! They didn't have the parts with them (I didn't give them a head's up that I wanted such an item) but ran to the local home improvement store, got three digital timers and new switch plates. Installed them, set the time, and the on/off settings, and were done within a few minutes. I am so impressed with this company. They are a small business offering great customer service, and do so in a respectful fashion. From the logo'd van/trucks to placing covers on their shoes, to treating you like you matter, this company is the tops! You will not be disappointed. Give them a call if you need something electrical done.

These guys are AWESOME! It was Christmas afternoon when all of a sudden the power went out in part of the house. Checked the breakers and couldn't identify the cause. All I knew was it was Christmas and we had 16 outlets that had no power. Of course the main TV and other comfort items were on this shared circuit. So, I went to Angie's List; found Above and Beyond Electric and another highly ranked electrical company (of which we had used before), and made a phone call. Remember, it was Christmas day! I left a VM with both companies. Imagine my surprise when the phone rang at 8:30 am on December 26th! It was Above and Beyond Electric returning my call and said they could come right out! It only took the electrician about 15 min's to identify the problem, and it was fixed within 30 min's. These guys are GREAT! I was so afraid we were going to need to replace the electrical panel or something odd (and expensive) like that. It would have been VERY EASY for a non-reputable company to prey on the fact that it was Christmas, we had family visiting, and a LOT of powered items not functional. But, they didn't! I really respect this company. Evidently you can wire outlets in a series where power flows through one outlet, through another, through another, and so on. What happened was the 2nd electrical outlet off the breaker panel had gotten hot and shorted out. Scary as this outlet was behind a tall, heavy chest of drawers and had never had anything plugged into it since we moved into the house in 2006. Anyway, he found the problem quickly, installed the new outlet, plus 3 light switches that were not working, and it cost only $183.50 vs. the thousands I was expecting for a new panel. Again, really respectable company! I was so impressed with them, I scheduled them to come back and install a whole house surge protection. I'll leave a separate review on that project. It was just as impressive as this one. They are now the ONLY electrical company I will use. Oh, and remember I said I called 2 electrical companies off Angie's List? Well the other one (which I had used in the past) did call back, it just took them over a week and a half to do so! Above and Beyond Electric certainly lives up to their name! Professional, nice, friendly, and caring. VERY IMPRESSIVE!

They installed it to where I could turn the light off at the dock as well while still being able to use the electrical power from the light stand to charge by boat batteries. That was a nice extra touch. They also helped me install a kitchen overhead light for no extra charge when they saw I was struggling to get it done. I would recommend them to anyone.

Overall everything went smoothly. They took extra care to ensure they kept my home clean.

We have used their services at least once a year since 2009. They are so punctual and if they are just five minutes late, they will call you. Everything is under warranty. Once we had to have them come back and even though it was over a year, they didn't charge us.

I took off work for the first scheduled day (6/7) and they did not show or call. I called them to find out what was going on and they had no plausible excuse, apologized & scheduled the 2nd appt. On the 2nd appt, they showed 2 hours early. The inspector told me that everything looked great and recommended approximately $1500 of optional work - changing ballasts, installing smoke detectors in every bedroom & installing GFI's in several rooms. Approx 2 weeks after the inspection, I started having problems with my washing machine. I replaced the washing machine only to find out that it was not the problem. I contacted Above & Beyond and they were not concerned about helping resolve the problem. I called a reputable electrical company and they determined that the circuit was overloaded. In the end, I paid Above & Beyond to come inspect my house for ways that they could make more money. It has already cost me $69 for the inspection, 2 vacation days and a new washing machine. They won't be getting any more of my money. I contacted the office several times by phone and email. The staff does not know what "above and beyond" service means and neither does the owner.

The electrical work done was done well and they did not charge us extra when the job turned out to be larger than expected. We ended up complaining to the company about the electricians tardiness and a miscommunication about a price change when they came back to do more work. The owner of the company came out to our house to listen to our complaints and apologize for the problems. We were very impressed and appreciated the in-person visit!

We were really pleased with them. My husband, who is extremely fussy, was very pleased with them.
