The price was great, he was great. He was very prompt and on time.

Evidently the switch had turned bad and dirt and dust had developed around some coils which caused it to stop working. Doug was very professional. He did what he needed to do. He made sure we understood what was going on with it. He was wonderful. I'd highly recommend this company.

I've used Foothills Mechanical for several years to repair my central Heat and AC system... always a great experience. This year, after repeated failures of the system, I decided to replace the whole system, inside and out. After consulting with Foothills technicians and the owner, I selected an efficient Rheem 2.5 ton unit to be installed. We set an installation date, the technicians arrived early, worked hard, and had the unit up and cooling by mid-afternoon. No problems with the installation. Good work by these folks as I expected.... at a good price ! I've waited 2 months to complete this review to see if anything went wrong. As I expected, the new unit purrs like a big cat day and night, no problems at all ! Foothills Mechanical are good people who do good reliable work.... the best I've ever had. You won't go wrong with Foothills Mechanical. (I notice all the other customer reviews for this company are missing - something is amiss since I did one myself about a year ago!)

Doug came within 15 minutes of my call. Found issue quickly and replace the condenser. Very impressed.

They are very good. We have had them out to the house several times during the winter with problems with our furnace. They were very punctual and got us taken care of the same day that we called. They went over and beyond one day. Their quality of work is very good. They were very helpful.

I called Foothills on a second opinion after being told by another company my unit was not under warranty and not repairable and I would need to replace the 2 year old unit to the tune of 3200, this after I had already paid them 214 dollars for other parts and labor. After Foothills / Charles came out we find out none of this was true and in about an hour my unit was back up, a new Thermostat installed and the supposedly melted, fried board bypassed and my AC running great. Charles later came out with a helper ( Alex) per our agreement to finish the job by installing the heat for this unit that had not been installed upon the original installation by a previous company 2 years ago. He replaced the "under warranty" board and ran wiring, and changed a breaker. He had a long day as none if this was easy. He did and awesome job and checked the heat briefly prior to leaving. The bonus, he got a snake out of my basement. I enjoyed meeting him, he was a nice young man and one instantly liked by myself and my husband. He was honest and was great at explaining. Awesome Job! We were extremely pleased with Foothills Mechanical and Mr Hafer. We are having other work performed in a week and will give more details at that time. We are very satisfied with the job and will definitely refer others to Foothills Mechanical.

After discovering that my home's heating system was no longer working, I went on Angie's List and found the listing for Foothills Mechanical. I called them and the man answering the phone was pleasant, friendly and concerned about the problem. He stated that someone would be out that day and the technician arrived in approximately two hours. He asked me what the problem was and started checking for solutions. On discovering that it was a blown blower motor, Doug (the tech) explained the problem and what it would cost to get a new motor and replace it. He then left immediately to drive to Knoxville to get the replacement and was back a short time later and installed the motor. He then made sure everything was working inside and also checked the heat pump outside to determine everything was in order. Doug was very nice, professional and informative during this whole process.Pricing was reasonable and everything went very smoothly. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing heat/ac services.

Repair man came out approximately 1hr after call. Diagnosis was quick and repair was inexpensive.

Outstanding service over an extended period of time.

Had called Mr. Hafer, owner, a week before this replacement. He came out, checked the unit, added refrigerant. He performed several tests and determined the coil was leaking. Mr. Hafer took the time to perform the tests I expected to determine the coil was leaking, not just a guess. He ordered a new unit and we scheduled the appointment for replacement. One of his technicians, a personable young man, came out on time and replaced the unit. He told me what he was doing, kept me apprised of his progress, and got the job done in good order. He took time to discuss the unit and its operation with me. Expect good work at a fair price from this company.

Placed a service call on Monday am and spoke with Jim (owner) regarding my AC. He scheduled me an appt later that afternoon. The technician showed up close to the time quoted (the owner mentioned that despite the quoted appt time, the tech may be backed up but will try to be there close to the time), checked out my AC unit, determined that it needed refrigerant, added refrigerant and performed a leak check (the tech called me the next day with a quote on how much it would cost to repair the leak). The AC was cold again! Very pleased with the communication and service of this firm. I will be calling them back in the near future to perform the repair!

Great to have a guy like Jim on your speed dial when the a/c or heat goes out. He has also done other electrical work for me, my family, and close friends. Highly recommend as always!!! Oh and his quote to the home warranty company was higher than the actual bill, so now they are even happy to know about him! Honest as the day is long as we say around here.....

Consistently have provided spring and fall HVAC service. They also installed whole house air cleaners. They have also made emergency repairs. We are extremely pleased with all work performed. They are fair, honest, and reasonably priced.

He is outstanding. He is highly recommended and well known in the area. I tell everyone I know about his service and he has always done great work. There is hardly any job that he will turn away, but he will refer you if he is unable to do the work. My neighbors and friends have used him and were also extremely happy with his service.

He was refereed by a neighbor. He was very professional, thorough, and actually gave a great report and emailed it to my husband. He was very nice.

Our 30 year old house came with its original A/C and furnace units. While they were still heating and cooling as designed, they seemed to run forever and our gas and electric bills were getting quite high. I had also noticed that our furnace burner was getting quite rusty and failure prone. With the income tax credit for installing new high-efficiency equipment available to us, it seemed like a good time to make the change. We had Foothills Mechanical out to look over the system and work up an estimate. Jim e-mailed me the estimate and we scheduled just a little while later. We had the work done in February to avoid the busy time for HVAC work (easier to get scheduled). Jim and his technicians came in and did the work quickly and neatly. It was a very good experience considering that I was expecting problems with mating the new system to our old ductwork. The work was completed on time and as estimated. They left the work area clean when they were finished. They showed us how to program the new thermostat and made sure everything was working properly. They came back when the temperatures started climbing in order to top off the refrigerant charge in the A/C unit, since that was a better to check it (when we were actually using the cooling function). We've been using our new system for over a year now with no problems and we've definitely noticed the lower gas and electric bills.

Jim has replaced a venter motor and fan assembly when the heat didn't work and repaired leaks in the AC; as well as performing routine maintenance; over a period of about 3 years on my HVAC unit. He is always prompt to respond, (within a day or two) and is very professional, honest, and does a great job!
