I will start by saying the sales person was great to work with, very friendly and immediately helped when we had issues. The finished product looks great as well! The issues we had were related to what I would say was a lack of communication. After we agreed to have Renewal by Anderson replace our windows, they sent a tech out who thoroughly measured all of the windows and drew out options for what kind of windows sills we wanted installed since we were having them replaced as well. We chose a nice decorative style and I watched him make all of the notes. We were told that given the size of the job, they would send a large crew and it should take 2 days for them to finish. The first day of the install, 3 guys showed up, so I was curious what their idea of a large crew was. Fortunately, these guys work on one window at a time, so we were never without some form of windows in our home during the install. I came home after the first day to see they had put in almost all the sills upstairs, but they just looked like cut pieces of 2x8 or whatever size board they used and they were cut to fit in the window. I immediately called up our sales person after seeing this who then contacted the office, and then they had one of the head installers call me to discuss the issue. I explained that the sills were wrong and what we were suppose to have, he confirmed and said they would need to pick up new parts from the warehouse but they would replace them all with the correct ones. Once this issue was corrected, the new sills and the trim they put under them look great, very high end looking! The only other problem we had was the project ended up taking 5 days instead of the 2 that we were initially told, and they had to send someone back out to finish one window sill and train my wife and I on proper operation and care of the windows instead of someone going over all of it the last day of install. Overall, the product is top notch and the installers worked hard, but I would recommend checking everything during the first day to make sure you're getting what you requested, and there is a good chance if it is a larger job, plan on it taking longer than estimated.

I called Replacement By Andersen because I had been receiving ads in the mail and had heard radio spots offering an additional $1500 off on the purchase and installation of 6 or more windows. Everything was very efficiently handled, an appointment was made, and the rep gave us a very thorough and professional presentation on the quality of Andersen Windows. Based upon the price levels we decided to go with single-hung windows for the entire house, and the quotation was for just under $11,000.00. I asked if the $1500.00 discount for six or more windows would be taken off that price and was told that the discount was only good for the top-of - the line double-hung product (which, I was told, would have been around double the price). Nowhere in the advertising, print or radio, was any mention made of the discount being exclusive to the most expensive product in Andersen's line, simply stating, 6 windows or more. I expressed my view that this pricing discount promotion was deceptive to the representative on two subsequent occasions and he maintained that he had discussed the issue with the Marketing Manager (at my request), and that there was no room for additional discount on any product below the top-of-the-line. While I would agree that Andersen is probably one of the best, if not the best product in the market, I believe that their advertising is deceptive at best. Because I do regard their product highly, I considered going ahead with the project; however, if they are unwilling to honor their freely made advertising offers, I would have a difficult time trusting either their services or their warranty. UPDATE 9/17/2013 We have been contacted by the Marketing Manager of Renewal By Andersen of Knoxville in an effort by the company to explain the errors made in the advertising campaign, and to make sure that we are satisfied with Renewal By Andersen products and services. He pointed out that there are two levels of product withing the Andersen line, but that the more affordably priced product has only been available for less than a year. Unfortunately the product rollout was not accompanied by an advertising revision, leading to the misunderstandings encountered in our dealings with the company. Because I am convinced that Andersen manufactures the best product of its' kind on the market, my wife and I will be meeting with Renewal By Andersen representatives at their showroom, to inspect the Tier 2 product, and to discuss a way to make our project go forward in a manner equitable to both parties. We appreciate the efforts made to ensure that we are satisfied in this experience, and are convinced at this point that there was no intent by Renewal by Andersen to deceive or misrepresent the product. Update 8/31/2015 This is a much overdue update on this job. I had promised the folks at Andersen that I would revisit my ratings upon completion of the work, and to my regret, I have neglected to do so. After extensive discussions with the sales rep and Marketing Manager at Andersen, we decided to go ahead with the second tier single-hung window system. We were granted the extra $1500.00 discount because of the ambiguity of the advertising campaign. Also, because of excellent pricing we decided to have the installation crew do the finish trim work on the inside of the window frame. Of the entire process, the installation was the smoothest segment and was performed flawlessly. Every effort was made to minimize interference with our life, and the site was left well-cleaned and neat at the end of each day. There was extraordinary attention to detail, and I must say that the finished product is well up to my expectations. About two months after installation, there was a small problem with one of the windows, and it was rapidly and cheerfully handled under warranty. I am now going to revise my ratings upward since since Andersen did, eventually, do what they should have done in the first place: honor the advertising. I am elevating the areas that I had marked D to a B. I cannot in good conscience go to an A because of what I had to go through to resolve the issue.

The representative cam out, looked at the windows that needed replacing then instead of giving us an estimate, sat and demonstrated the excellence of Anderson windows for almost 1 1/2 hours while we tried to get him to "cut to the chase". We finally told him that our patience was exhausted and asked him to leave. We got an estimate by e-mail several days later. If you like glitzy demonstrations, with cute little toys by all means call this group. They will demand that both husband and wife be present. For us, it was a big waste of our time.

Our 35 years old house had 35 year old Andersen wooden windows. The windows were damaged during the hail storm in 2011. In addition some of the windows had started to deteriorate. The house also had custom plantation shutters on the interior. Our contractor recommended replacing our windows with Andersen windows as they were the most likely to fit the openings and most likely would not affect the plantation shutters. Renewal by Andersen came and measured several times to insure they were ordering the correct sizes. It took several weeks for all the windows to be constructed and delivered. Once delivered I was amazed at how quickly they were installed. The crew installed 18 windows in 2 or 3 days. There was no mess. There was a spot or two where the adjacent boards were damaged but overall it was hard to tell anything had been done. They were very professional. The only disappointment is that many of the new windows stay fogged with condensation especially at night. It wasn't a problem with the old windows. It's only been a month so maybe it won't be as much of a problem when the weather turns cold. If there had been a less expensive window that would have done the job we definitely would not have gone with Renewal by Andersen. The new windows averaged over $3000 each.

Got an estimate from them for windows and they were very professional and courteous. They were also very expensive. We went with a different company.

They were punctual, efficient and professional.

From estimate to completion and followup inspection it was a very good experience.

The first appointment that was scheduled the sales person did not show up - there was confusion on the exact appointment time. I had been told 9 am and their schedule showed 10 am - I lost 2 hours of vacation from work for nothing. Appoint was resecheduled for an evening - different sales person. This sales person was very punctual but was quite a disappointment in the lack of knowledge of her product. She was not going to even measure the door before sitting down to start work on the estimate. I explained that we are going to be putting the house up sale soon and want to replace the door with at least at a mid-range price - not top grade. She didn't know which type of door (steel or fiberglass) was the most expensive, what type/design of glass was most expensive, etc. My husband started asking her basic questions such as "will the installation be done in one day?" she had to guess that it would be done in one day. She didn't know if the door and two side light panels would be delivered to our house pre-assembled as one unit - her guess was that it would be three separate units that would be installed at the same time. The prices were $2K - $7K higher than we had gotten from another supplier. I'm sure they have a very good quality product, but we won't be using them for this project, or any in the future. Very disappointing. I must add the receptionist who took my call the morning of the first appointment was very professional and did her best to make the situation right. The sales person that we met with was very nice, very pleasant, just didn't seem to really know her product.

Their team was fantastic almost to the point of perfection.

Process was fairly smooth. There were some minor problems with appearance of the windows on the outside. One call and visit from a supervisor and the issues were taken care of. I felt like the company stood behind its quality reputation and made sure we were happy with the completed work.

From the start I was impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the company. I was provided with detailed information about the products and choices. All questions were answered. I was given an accurate estimate. All work was completed on time. The product and service are high quality. I have no hesitation in recommending this company. The windows are NOT inexpensive but are a good value. They are guaranteed for the life of the house!

We had decided on this company after doing some online looking. Met sales people at a home improvement expo. They were professional. Contact with them was limited to scheduling an appt. The salesman who came to the house was very knowledgeable, although I felt he should have asked questions about what we were looking for/already knew instead of just going on and on about the product. Had to correct him(about what we wanted)/get him back on track several times. The job foreman, Travis was awesome. Very professional and focused on getting the job done right, from ordering materials to making sure the crew got all the little details just right. They finished ahead of schedule and cleaned up after themselves. We will be replacing more windows in the future and will not even consider using anyone else.

We didn?t get the work done by them. They were quite pricey, but I liked their windows. I did read some comments about them online which weren?t very supportive and I guess perhaps in terms of value. They came out to prepare an estimate for us and came at the scheduled time. They spent an appropriate amount of time measuring and describing about the product. We also went to their stores to evaluate products and window replacement units. I believe that they have very high quality replacement windows with nice engineering standards. I have confidence in the company, but my impression was that the value or the quality windows comes at a good price. Their responsiveness was excellent. If need be, then I would use their services in the future too.

Great! The price was a little higher than we wanted to pay, but we liked their windows the best. They looked more like the type of windows that would go with our older home and they did not look cheap like some other companies. The crew was prompt and they were very nice about answering my questions even when I was complaining about things that turned out not to be real problems. We have two small children and they were very good about keeping things safe for them and they were good about answering their questions and showing them what they were doing. My wife was very happy that she never heard a curse word out of any of them.

They gave me an estimate and stuck to the price. There was no surprise. The workers arrived on time and the 'head' man introduced himself. They worked quickly and quietly. I have 2 small kids and was very impressed that the workers never cursed. They also took great precaution with the removal of our old lead paint covered windows. They sealed off the area and vacuumed as soon as they had the old window out. The "head guy checked in with me often and answered all of my questions. I even left them alone in my house and they did not steal anything or slack off while I was gone. Their windows are great quality. They look awesome! My house is warmer and looks better, and is safer for my kids.

I have a 70 year old home. I wanted the windows replaced to look as close to the original windows in our home. They did a very good job at meeting our expectations. I was absolutely thrilled. They are very professional and well worth the money.
