Description of Work: diagnosed my HVAC problem and then replaced HVAC unit & repaired some ductwork. |Absolutely exceptional customer service and quality work. Project Manager even came to my place of work for me to sign the contract. They couldn't have made it easier for me.

Description of Work: We purchased a previously owned, 9 year old home in summer of 2013. We chose Pioneer for our routine system maintenance and to replace the two HVAC units. Their service is exemplary, the personnel delightful and we find their prices reasonable. A family member is also using Pioneer for routine maintenance and they have replaced duct work in his 115 year old home. He is equally satisfied with the service, personnel and pricing. Pioneer has been very responsive and most helpful to us.

Description of Work: Replaced an air conditioning and heating unit and installed a humidifier. The work was on time and the workers were very professional. I would use them again. The price was a little high, but I believe you get what you pay for.

Description of Work: After a diagnosis of the failure of my existing HVAC system, I decided to have Pioneer replace the unit with a Trane package unit. The work was scheduled and completed quickly and efficiently. I have used Pioneer for my HVAC servicing needs for over 25 years and know that I can trust their work and professionalism.

Description of Work: I was HORNSWOGGLED. After calling to get an estimate on a new HVAC system, the rep came out and suggested that the system "may just need some Freon." I had already been over this with another A/C tech a couple of years ago and was fairly certain that the comressor was shot and the system leaked. I agreed against my better judgment to let the rep schedule a tech "to put a couple of pounds in." The rep also gave me the impression that the 79.99 service call fee included a check for leaks. As it turned out, they put FIVE POUNDS of Freon in WITHOUT checking for a leak, and the system bled dry in 24 hours. They charged me 275.00, and then told me that the EPA gives them a one-time pass when they were spewing Freon into the atmosphere by "mistake." It seemed like a practiced scam to me: when I tried to pay over the phone the next day, vowing to never to use their services again, the woman knew the exact amount w/tax to charge for the Freon and service call, even though the serviceman had not submitted the completed work order yet. Though this may sound cynical and anecdotal, I agree that it was a personal feeling one could only be familiar with from personal experience of having been "handled" in the past.
