All company representatives were polite, respectful, pleasant, knowledgeable, excellent C.S. skills, met schedule, cleaned up on completion, gave explanations to query & directions for any future needs.

We have an annual agreement with them for the maintenance of the equipment. They make sure the units are working correctly.

GREAT!... Every step along the way went as scheduled. The quote visit was on time, as scheduled and done very professionally. Once we had the quote, there was no pestering follow up. When we called them to respond to the quote, they answered all the questions and offered no pressure. When we had reviewed all the quotes we contacted them for completion of the deal and installation. Installation day went extremely well... promptly on time... as scheduled. It only took about 4 hours... they cleaned up after themselves and hauled away the old system and all the packaging dunnage from the new system. Very well done... my wife and I were very pleased. The after installation billing process went very well too... they sent a bill... we paid it, per the terms of the deal. No problems. We will consider no others... their bid was also very competitive.

We were using Advanced Heating and Air for about the last 2 years for the bi-annual maintenance for heat and a/c. However, one night, our heat stopped functioning. I went into the attic and discovered that gas was venting from the furnace without igniting the burner. I called the 24/7 emergency number and got not answer and no reply till the next morning. They said it would be 2 days until they were able to respond with an onsite technician. I called Pioneer Heating and Air and they sent over a technician immediately and replaced the faulty hot surface ignitor. So much for 24/7 emergency service from the other guys, hence the switch to Pioneer. Pioneer has now done repair and maintenance for both my heating and a/c unit, with much better quality of service and responsiveness. They are a little bit more expensive, but I am very much a believer that you get what you pay for. Highly recommend to anyone needing heat or a/c service.

Our heat pump stopped working right as temps were threatening to drop badly that evening! They came out the same day I called and fixed the problem. We bought this unit from them in 2005 and completely forgot that we also had a 10-year parts and labor warranty, but they didn't forget! There was no charge for the labor or replacement part that the unit needed. We also have a twice-a-year maintenance agreement with them and our unit is kept running in great shape. This is the first thing that has needed fixing, and it was a 100% pleasant experience, as always! We have dealt with Pioneer at the recommendation of a builder friend of ours since 2005, and we are completely satisfied with their quality and professionalism. We wouldn't use anyone else.

I spoke with a service manager when I set up the appointment to explain what I needed. Pioneer had serviced my unit several months before and told me that I had cracks in the heat exchanger. I chose not to do the repair at that time. Even though a repairman from their company identified the problem, they still charged for a service call months later to confirm the cracks. I was told the service call would cost 54.95. The repairman showed up on time to perform the check and indeed confirmed that the heat exchanger had cracks and needed to be replaced. Before going inside to write the check, I mentioned the price to the repairman who said it cost 54.95 just to get him to my property, and it would be another 51.30, listed on my service order as miscellaneous charges, for a total of 106.25. I told him the service manager said it would be 54.95, and he said he had to charge the 106.25. I went inside, called the service manager who confirmed the 54.95. I told the repairman who immediately called the service manager back to confirm and then charged me 54.95. When I spoke with the service manager, I told him what the repairman had found and that I did want to replace the heat exchanger. He said OK and that he would be waiting on a call from the repairman. I asked for an estimate of the cost to replace it. The exchanger was under warranty and therefore, no charge. But, he said I would have to pay for the labor which he estimated between 500.00 and 750.00. After the repairman spoke to the service manager, I asked the repairman if the part was in stock. He said that it was and that they could install on Monday. I said OK and waited for their call. Monday morning I called to see when they were coming and they said the work had not been scheduled and they could get to me. I told the service manager I had decided to go with another company. He said OK and couldn't have cared less. On a side note, I used another company from Angie's List who completed the repairs for 293.90 including the service call, labor, and all parts.

They arrived on time. And discovered a blown starter capacitor. They had the part in the truck and replaced the capacitor. Unit has worked since with no problem. |

They replaced our central heat (gas furnace) and air with a new system. There were no problems, and I was pleased with the quality of their work. I would use them again.

Considerably time was appplied to the preinstall evaluation and design to assure proper sizing and optimization. Sufficient manpower was assigned to the job to complete the installation on time with minimal service disruption. Workmen were courtious & respectful. Installation was cleaned at the endof the job. Supervisory inspection was performed at the end of the job with the homeowner where all operation and maintenance procedures were explained.

We have a contract with them. The price is the going rate. They are really prompt. We have had Randy come out a number of times and he is good, but everyone there is good. When you call them you don’t get a recording.

Well, I was just on Angie's List looking this year to replace my HVAC system, and after my awful experience with Pioneer last summer, I couldn't believe that this company has an A rating! More people in this area need to get on Angie's List and leave honest reviews when companies don't perform to a certain standard. So that's what I'm doing here now... Pioneer was called to come troubleshoot this system, heat and air, in an old house I had just purchased to live in. They arrived several hours after the agreed-upon time. They said I all I needed was a thermostadt and freon. I told them I wanted a basic thermostat. They said it would be $279! I could hardly believe my ears. (I later looked up the thermostadt online, a Honeywell unit that was $59 on Amazon.com, exact same model, same model number). I was stuck without air conditioning in the summer and they knew that. So I agreed to have it put in (what else was I going to do in 95o weather)? Next they charged a LOT for the freon. (I know freon is expensive but yikes my bill was almost $500 for a thermostat and a little fr eon!) Last, I had to practically BEG the two workers to look at the heating unit because I needed to know if it worked once cold weather came. The one guy replied that he didn't want to climb up to look at it because he was tired. The other guy begrudgingly finally went to check it out. All in all, my use of Pioneer was a big mistake that I could not afford. A real rip-off service that I will never use again. In addition, I tell everyone I know about this experience with them so they won't be taken advantage of like I was.

Pioneer came out same day even though it was a business holiday.The person who completed the job was respectful and knowledgeable. This is the second time we've used Pioneer to assist with a heat pump.In comparison to City Heat and Air that sold a heat pump and installed it, Pioneer cares enough to come out within hours of a service call and guarantees the parts for 5 years.

I called them after hours on a Thursday and my call was answered by an actual person. She had a technician call me and he told me what my problem probably was. (heat pump was only blowing hot air and compressor not kicking on) He offered to come out that very evening for an additional charge, but we both agreed it could wait until morning. Pioneer called the next morning and set a time to be at my home, and were very prompt. They fixed my heat pump in a very short timeand made sure it was working before they left. I highly recommend this company; they are professional, prompt, and affordable!

Bill was our service man. He was very honest, professional, punctual. Our AC upstairs was running nonstop and not cooling. We have had a continual problem with this unit since we purchased the house new 6 yrs. ago. The freon was low and he checked everything throughly, added 3 units of freon, and said if the problem continues we may have to replace the coils. The labor is under warranty, so we will have them come back to check levels before warranty is up, and go from there. So far so good.

Pioneer was called mid week to perform repairs on the gas furnace in our Heat and A/C system. They could not schedule a service call until the following Monday. Late Friday afternoon I was called without any prior notice and told that a Technician was at our house and could I get there to open up for them, which I could not. The technician arrived on time Monday and found a faulty switch which they did not stock and had to order. I was told it would be in the next day. Then nothing happened for several days and I was not contacted about the delay. I finally called Pioneer and the next day the tech installed the switch and subsequently found a bad (and expensive) blower motor that had to be replaced. A day later the blower motor was replaced but bad duct-work for the exhaust vent was found which had to be repaired. Another couple of days saw this work done and inspected and finally our heat was online. Because the furnace was accessible without having to get inside the house I never had to be present after the first visit for the work to go forward, saving me a great deal of inconvenience. In all fairness I do not believe that all of the delays were the fault of Pioneer H/A but the communication could have been better. I think that Pioneer did try to make up for some of the delay by adjusting the final bill for their services in my favor, for which I thank them. To date their repairs have been fine and our heat has worked without a glitch. I will use them again but I would advise anyone to take the initiative to keep communications with them open and current rather than relying on them to contact you.

I received outstanding service from them. I have trusted them with other energy efficiency projects and they have always done great work. The gentleman was technically competent. I have the utmost confidence in what they do. I would recommend them to anyone.

Our old thermostat began running A/C continually... for example the setting would be 77 degrees and indoor temp would be 72 & A/C still running. Called Pioneer Heating & Air and scheduled a service call for the following day. Tracey, our installer, took time to explain & answer all of our questions about the new thermostat and its programming. Everything was completed quickly and efficiently. An hour or two later we began smelling what appeared to be a burning electrical smell. Upon closer exam it was coming from the thermostat so we placed a call to Pioneer (after hours). Mike called within 5 minutes to tell us his location and that he was on his way to us. He was very nice, even took the time to acquaint himself to our dog. She was immediately at ease with him. He could find nothing wrong with the thermostat and by then the smell was all but gone. He offered that it might have been the heating of internal components once power was applied (burn-in). The thermostat was more expensive than we expected but our only reference has been the cheap consumer grade options at Home Depot or Lowes. This has a full 5 year warranty which Pioneer will honor. We inquired about Fall & Spring checkups and were given pricing information. We will be using Pioneer Heat & Air for our needs in the future.

Wonderful.I got their name from a co-worker who lives in KnoxvilleAlthough I have never met any of them,I talked to Gordy on the phone several times.and he was always responsive,and although we were in the middle of a heat wave,and they were slammed,they patched together the existing A/C until they could get the new equipment received and installed.This allowed my daughter and son-in-law to move in a week earlier than they would have been able to. Great People.I highly recommend them

They are pretty good. Bill Cockrum is the service guy who came out. We haven?t had to call them out for an emergency to see what they do then and nothing has gone out. They call us and ask us when they want us to come. They let us know when we are due. They come and they are always on time. They put their little booties on. It is very nice. They are very clean and very good. I would use their services in the future too.

Our heating and air conditioning unit went out 4 days before Thanksgiving 2 years back and Pioneer Heating And Air Conditioning Inc installed it for us without charging extra for the holidays. They were fast and honest. They came on the scheduled time and let us know if they were late which happened rarely. They do the checks every year now.

The tech, Danny who had come out to fix our circuit board last year, came back to look at our AC unit. He cleaned out the unit after the storms had loaded up the condenser with mud and he evaluated the damage that the hail did to the coils. He charged it up with freon. Again, great professionalism and responsiveness from this wonderful company. We very much appreciate them!

We were very pleased with the service and promptness of the technician. We felt he gave us an honest appraisal of the situation and did not suggest work or materials that were not necessary. He was neat and helpful.

The furnace went out one day and they were here that same night. They said they would have it in for us by the next night and they were right. The price was reasonable. They are so nice, they even followed up and made sure we are doing the right thing for the furnace. I loved the experience.

Technician spent about an hour or so inspecting system and cleaning. Didn't seem rushed.

Were right on time to start the install and stayed longer in the day to get it done so I did not have to spend one more night in the heat which I appreciated very much. Had a couple of small issues but the sales guy came over and corrected them himself. Very professional crew. Will definitely continue to use them.
