My Professional Plumber

The plumber arrived on time, and maintained contact with me before arrival to ensure we were on the same page. He could have started a little earlier if I had been home to meet him. He explained what he would do and then talked me through the process as he performed the spigot replacement, which included cutting copper pipe and sweating a few joints. I would use these folks, again.

Had to use directional drill to go up a hill under retaining wall into the crawl space of the home to install the service line. Two other plumbers were called for estimates, but Jamie was the only one, not only to respond, but to respond the same day I called. I had an estimate within 24 hours! The others left me hanging for 2 weeks! All the plumbing is working great! He kept me updated on the progress and was very professional. The work was also completed quickly. I would recommend him for any difficult job, especially one that involves drilling.

Overall things went well, and the problem was fixed. He had to make several trips to the hardware store for parts so the whole thing took some time. He initially had some trouble figuring out what was causing the problem, but got some expert advice and it worked. A nice enough guy.

When he came by he said that it was going to cost me another $137 on top of the $29 I had already paid. I even had the kit for the repair. I wasn't going to pay that and sent him away.

Jamie returned my call within 5 minutes of receiving the notification from Angie's list, which kept me from even contacting anyone else. He was extremely professional, on time, and courteous. He and his assistant were in a clean, professionally marked work vehicle, were nicely dressed and well groomed. Before entering my home, they both put on shoe covers to keep from tracking in any dirt, and before performing any work Jamie gave me a firm estimate for completing the project. The work was done professionally, and they made a special effort to clean up the work area in the bathroom. I would highly recommend My Favorite Plumber to all my family and friends.

The plumber arrived right on time. He was extremely professional and courteous. He was very detailed and made absolutely sure the problem was diagnosed and fixed correctly. Absolutely great job and I felt the price was very reasonable. Will definitely use them again -- I have an old house with old plumbing so no doubt I will have occasion for it!

I'm remodeling my power room and wanted to clean out the tank and replace the "guts" on the toilet to include a dual-flush system as well as check on a possible leak at the floor level. I was able to remove everything except one stupid screw holding the tank to the base. After trying everything on my own for an hour and looking up potential solutions on the internet, I searched plumbers on Angie's List and found this one. I knew I didn't need a diagnostic, which was the current deal, so I just phoned for a tech to come out and get the screw off. I was able to get an appointment within the hour. The plumber and his apprentice arrived, put on booties, and listened to my tale of tank screw woe. Because I had already removed the toilet from the floor, he immediately noticed my flange was below floor level leading to problems with the surrounding wood from the leaking. He advised raising it before reseating my toilet. I was shown a price list and chose to have him do all of the reseating work as well as installing the dual-flush system. While I have done the "guts" work before, I was still working on redoing the sink fixtures and was sick of dealing with the stubborn potty. Once I made my selection, he and his apprentice began the work. I basically ignored them while doing my thing to retrofit the pedestal sink, and they did a fine job. I will note that I had already purchased the Oatey wax seal and the dual-flush parts, so those were not provided in the price I paid. I will also point out that in the mess that was my living room I had inadvertently thrown the dual-flush instructions on the couch without noticing. The plumber was able to install the dual-flush components using only the "trouble-shooting" page I'd left visible in the mess. I found the instructions toward the end by accident, but by that time, he had mostly finished. Once done, they cleaned up and presented my bill. I had them look at a couple of other issues I knew would be potential problems for me as I remodel my home, and I feel comfortable using this company again. It irks me to have needed to call them, but that's on me and one stubborn screw. I wasn't charged an additional fee for a "service charge" which made me happy, so all in all it's a lesson learned and a good day. The pricing was clearly stated although a bit higher than I would have expected. But I appreciated the quickness of the response and the professionalism of the nice men who arrived to work. Thanks.

It took until the 11th for them to call me to set up appt. Our plumber was Marcus very nice young man, very professional. He Came in the house, put shoe covers on. He inspected our toilet, we told him what we had done and showed him our toilet auger. He went back to his truck and got his auger came back in, used the auger ,removed a plastic enema bottle from toilet. Job is DONE. He went back to truck to take auger and get pad with prices etc. Charged 154 plus the 29 I paid Angie's list for service call. Total amount 183.00. Very expensive, I think for 10 minutes of work. He actually could have used the toilet auger we had bought, my husband did not know how to use it. Took about 10 minutes for job to be finished.

He was punctual, polite and professional. He explained and demonstrated how the new faucet worked before he left. He took extra time to make sure he kept the kitchen clean while he was working.

They showed up on time and appeared professional. He looked at the problem and explained what would be required to fix it. His prices were pre-printed on the invoice and seemed very high. I declined his service thus losing my $32, but ultimately saving at least $300 when it was repaired by a local plumber.

I was not pleased at all with the services provided from My Plumber. I purchased this deal through Angie's List and had to contact the owner to set up the appointment. I was needing an appointment in the A.M., but the only time they could do it was P.M. They ended up having to reschedule to a later time in the afternoon. When the plumber came, my wife was at home instead of me and they charged us for another service call (an additional $49). I left 2 messages over the weekend for them to not deposit my check, but they did. I finally got in touch with them to let them know that they charged too much and it felt like they had to go out of the way to get it back to me. I still do not have it. I did not have a very good experience.

The service man determined the problem was in the pilot/burner assembly and the entire water heater did not need to be replaced. The part had to be ordered because there were none in stock. The burner was ordered and installed in 24 hours. I recommend and will use this company for future work.

We have an old house and the plumbing was a mixture of galvanized pipes, some copper pipes, and come PVC. They worked diligently at a difficult job. We were kept informed of what would be done and when. The job was complicated by the weather, thus, it took longer to complete than anticpated.

The price was very reasonable, and his manner was very professional. I highly recommend him.

He has been here a couple of times, and they do outstanding work. They put their little booties on, and they are courteous. We can recommend him highly. We have had him do hot water work 3 times. He put a new one, and then it had a defect, the coil needed to be replaced. He is outstanding. His price is pretty comparable. He was very responsive, and always on time.

They did a great job for us. I was very happy with them. They were professional and knew what they were doing. They were able to fix the problem real quick. They came out quick and I have nothing but good to say about them. I would use them again.

It turned out fine. We like him very much. We've given his name to other people and we were comfortable with his business practices and his follow ups. I feel like I've known him personally at this point. He is very friendly, honest and prompt. He explained everything he is doing, why he is doing it. He does guarantee satisfaction without additional charges if there is a need for him to come back....I think that is amiable. He fixed problems that other plumbers are not able to deal with. He takes time to figure out what really is the problem and he fixed it. He is wonderful. Everything he has done, he has done it correctly and does not need to come back and redo so that is a good thing.

I have used them a few times now and they are terrific. I like their price and I will continue to use them.
