They are pleasant to work with. Mr. McLain came out himself to give the estimate. The price was right on, so I knew what to expect. They do great work painting and they are very neat too. The cleanup is always done professionally. They are also here on time and they follow up as well.

They were nice and refunded my deposit. They were professional.

They did this about a year ago and it looks great still to this day. They were thorough and the owner actually came out to give us the quote. His guys are also great and they did a good job.

The work turned out well. I liked that they did a good job. It took them a little over 2 weeks and they were on schedule.

They bought the right equipment with them to get the job done. My neighbors told me that the crew who came out were delightful. They were polite and cleaned up too. Three painters came out and it took them 4 days total. We also picked out good quality paint and one specific color that I picked out out and got the paint for me.

They was as nice as could be and they came back to fix it. Their painting was wonderful. This company also guarantees their work. They offer services with a color consultant and I did use her as well. I was really happy with the colors she picked out.

It took them more than a week. They had to take off the old paint and stain, then pressure washed and then re-stained the deck. They are very good and professional. They always work in groups of 2-3 and they always showed up on time. I had no complaints and they stayed within their price that they quoted. I was happy with their results. I plan to have painting done in the future and I will definitely be calling them.

They were terrific and professional. We did not go with them due to their price, which I wanted to go with them, but my husband insisted to go with a company who gave a lower quote. This company even sent me a Christmas card and I thought that was thoughtful and good marketing. I was very impressed.

The gentlemen arrived on time. He did what he needed to do to get ready to paint. He stayed a little while longer to do part of the hallway too. The finished product is very beautiful and I am very pleased. I also supplied the paint.

They did a nice job. It took longer than experience due to rain, but it took about a week.

I was not there when they did the work, but when I came home it was completed.

The company was competitively priced, compared to other quotes we got. They did good work. A couple painters came out. One day the owner was sick and came back to finish the work. It took a couple of days to complete, since it was a lot of painting that they needed to do.

That painting turned out well. They did this work 2 years ago and the stairway painting took a day. It was a positive experience.

Charles and Scott always provide quality work. We have used Mclains in the past for a large exterior job and they did fantastic work. This time was a small repair of stucco and repaint after woodpecker damage. The issued was fully resolved in just a couple days.

I was kept informed of the anticipated starting date. They did the work when promised. The workers were professional and responsible. They cleaned up as they worked and left no mess behind. I was given the excess paint that they did not use.They even helped me move a dog crate. I have more work to be done next year and i will certainly use them again. The estimator who came to my house was knowledgable and patient. He explained everything that the company would do, what the costs were and even worked with me to break down the estimate and agreed to do what work I needed done first.

From the appointment for the estimate to the follow up, the company communicated well, scheduled and provided professional service. In preparation, our three story house was power washed...not only the wood, but also the brick. The company provided a project foreman and several painters which contributed to a smaller number of days to carry out the project. As mentioned, our house is high with a steep cedar shake roof that the painters had to be on to paint dormers and they were skilled and safe in their approach. I would definitely use this company again!

Moving into an older home means scarred walls from old wallpaper and kids and life - there's no way around that. Our team of painters from McLain's did an amazing job repairing the walls; once they were painted, they looked smooth and new. The painting was very professionally and very quickly finished with no unwanted spatter on the floors or trim or anywhere in the house. We are very pleased and would definitely use McLain's again. I'll also add that our painting crew were very nice people who went out of their way to do things like putting away a lawnmower we had inadvertently left out when they were leaving after a long day.

It went amazing! Charles and his crew of Lucas and Barbara were excellent. They were the ultimate in professionalism and did a wonderful job. We were very impressed!

Crew of 3 arrived on Monday. Power washed house & fence. Hand washed interior of porch. TWTF arrived ~ 8AM. Painted. Left ~ 4PM each day. Monday 8-4-2014. Showed up for final inspection. Spent ~ 2 hours with details needing to be fixed. Charles (owner) showed up to collect. Scared of that shotgun! Just kidding. He DID show up each day to check on his crew. Impressive! We did a walk around on Monday to see if any areas needed attention. Crew was polite - clean - and left each day cleaning up after themselves. Best crew I've had out in many years. I will use them again when my interior needs to be done. He was the best at a reasonable price. DO give him a chance with your house. We were very happy with our experience. McLain's Painting along with Charles and Scott will exceed your expectations. We have had some trouble with other painting companies in the past. Charles the owner provided great communication before and during the work. Scott the lead foreman for the job was fantastic. He tried to exceed expectations and if ANYTHING needed corrected he would resolve issue quickly. Several other team members provided detailed work as well. If you would like efficient, neat and quality work you will not be disappointed. Granted the price may not be the cheapest but the old saying you get what you pay for does apply here - I learned that the hard way using a different company on interior.

They said they should be able to get to x-amount of rooms and additional if time allowed, but they actually only got half of the expected work completed. They spent time taping off a room that was never painted. The main issue was the owner, not the workers because he over-represented the work that could be done. He wasn't very good in coordinating his workers time efficiently. The workers did a good job cleaning up though.

Well, we hate to gush, but this company and its people are fabulous. Charles McLain, the owner, returned my call and set up an appointment for estimates immediately. He was very helpful in suggesting ways to approach certain tasks and had the estimate ready before he left. Not only did he present the lowest estimate, but he appeared to be the most knowledgeable, competent and confident of any painting contractor we have ever employed. (Let's just say that if he ran for office, we would vote for him no matter what his politics.) He estimated that they could begin our job in about two weeks, but was able to fit us in the very next week. He sent a his color coordinator, Christian, to help with the paint selection. Each time a new phase of the job was started, Charles came with his crew to make sure they understood what was to be done. The power washing was handled by Lucas, a most capable and enjoyable young man. He was joined by Todd and Barbara to do the painting and staining. All three, and later, Andrew, were fast, competent and professional. They were even understanding when I dithered and changed my color choice for the shutters. The whole job was finished quickly and we could not be more pleased with the results. We cannot recommend McLain's Painting Services more highly. Charles has just come by with our closing packet which contains our warranty, a form to request touch-ups, and a feedback survey. Wow.

I must explain my varied review...I have been holding off submitting any review of this service because of my mixed experience. First, the good: the painter who did the work was exceptional (I believe his name was Zac). He was prompt, professional, courteous, and worked steadily all day(s) to get the job done, with the exception of a short lunch break. This was a tough job, too, involving an old wallpaper border and it looks great! Also, he was quiet so I was able to work, too, but that was an unexpected perk. I would hire him again for any painting job. The bad: I bought an Angie's List Special, "Painter for a Day" for approx. $200. The owner (also very prompt and polite) underestimated the job by half. I ended up having to pay another approx. $200, schedule another day at home, OR live with a half-finished project. I don't recall any apologies for what I consider a professional mistake, and I felt like my choices were pretty limited at that point. So my advice is to hire them by the job, or hire someone else. I've since hired someone else for other jobs, paid by the job and been far more satisfied with the whole process.
