Not great. He left a pile of leaves on our gutters on one corner of the house. He did, however, come back and remove them when we called him. He seemed more interested in trying to get us to do additional work with him, rather than working on the gutters.

4/3/2014 I waited this long to review Kirby's work because I wanted to wait until we had a torrential rainstorm like last night even tho we've had some rain since the work was done and the roof didn't leak, after last night I can say without a doubt that Kirby knows his stuff. He is very friendly and very courteous and very professional. He told me what it would cost to fix the leak and what the other repairs and upgrades would cost and wasn't pushy at all but I knew from the inspection that some of them were more necessary especially replacing all of the pipe boots. He told me when he'd be out here to do he work, which he was and then he and his help were back out first thing the next morning to finish the job. They cleaned up all the trash and hauled it away and he even noticed a missing tile on the garage and replaced that! I couldn't be happier with the work they did or the price they charged. That was one of the reasons I joined Angie's List last Octover, because I knew we were moving down here from IL, didn't know anyone down here and knew I could rely on other people's reviews to find the right people, like Kirby to get a job done and be not only satisfied but happy that I used him to solve a potentially major problem!!!

The service was provided as requested. The gutters were cleaned and were snugged up to the house in a few places needing attention. I would use the service again if needed.

When I signed up for an Angie's List guttering deal, Kirby Smith, the Project Manager with Litespeed Construction contacted me promptly to schedule the work. He again responded very quickly when I called him with a question. Kirby and his worker Danny Vasquez showed up at the exact time agreed upon and did the work at the exact price agreed upon which I thought was very reasonable. They did an excellent job while working quickly and professionally. Kirby and Danny were both friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I would hire them again without hesitation and would recommend them to anyone.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was very good. There were no additional charges. They did what they said and they showed up on time. I had no complaints at all. I was happy with everything. I would absolutely use them again.

Kirby arrived between 8-10 AM as agreed upon, at that time I went over with him the problem I was having with a leak on the enclosed porch,stating after a hard rain.|As we talked he got this snarky know- it- all attitude that I didn't care for however, he went on the roof with a garden hose and let it run for periods of time and I was to yell out whether or not I saw a leak. this went on for a while and I got tired of yelling out the door so I let it go for more than the 1 1/2-2 min which I was supposed to yell out, when He came down from the roof he flew all over me about "how was he supposed to find the leak if I couldn't do my job."|Needless to say I was about over it at that point however, he made a drawing of what he thought needed to be done and gave an estimate,which was so high, I have forgotten it (could have replaced a good bit of the roof on my whole house for that amount)|I am not used to having someone at my house to give me an estimate, get snarky and argumentative.| Not worth the $125.00's||| |

The company representative arrived as arranged and examined the dented gutter I needed repaired. He explained the gutter could not be repaired and that it should be replaced. We agreed the big deal was not applicable to the job I needed done because I never needed the gutters cleaned but repaired.

We purchased a "big deal" on Angie's list for gutter cleaning for $99. Litespeed was prompt in scheduling the appointment and showed up on time. I knew we had more gutters than the deal covered, so I asked him to only clean a portion of the gutters. He said that the deal only covered lower pitched roofs, so there would be an extra charge ($75) for the steeper pitch, because it was more work. This brought it to $175 total. I agreed to it (I needed the gutters cleaned), but when he was done an hour later, I was a little shocked that I had just spent $175 on a "big deal" to get an hours work to clean the gutters. Big deals come in three basic varieties: good deals, good deals where they try to sell you something, and not really such good deals. I've had great luck with tree service, plumbing, and A/C/heat service falling into the first category. Because this was gutter cleaning by a place with construction in the name, I kind of expected this one to fall into that second category (i.e. a way for somebody to provide a good value as an in to other business). In the end, I felt like I had paid the full price of a service call plus an hour of skilled labor at full price for gutter cleaning. That wasn't really what I expected. But, the gutters got cleaned, and there wasn't any high pressure sales.

Litespeed cleaned out my gutters as well as I would have. He also let me know that the gutters were in pretty good shape, but needed more pitch to remedy the gutters' tendency to overflow when there is a hard rain. Litespeed also suggested three different options in gutter guards.

We noticed a pretty bad leak on our 8 year old roof (4th one in the past couple of years). Saw some staining on the ceiling. Kirby came out and inspected the roof isolated the problem to 2 pretty good size valleys on the back of our cross gable roof and a couple other issues we should address. He got me up on the roof and showed me problems - very helpful. He charged a nominal fee for the evaluation. He provided a fair written estimate and was able to squeeze us in before the holidays. This was great as we had some big rain events head towards Knoxville. His crew did a great job - Kirby made sure everything was done well and the place was cleaned up before they left. They replaced a gutter board that had failed. They also replaced some pipe boot jacks and cleaned up the shingles around them. He sent me photos of the improper installation/poor workmanship that caused the problem. He emailed me after a big rain to make sure we were not having any problems. I would definitely recommend Kirby and Lite Speed Construction. Kirby is a pro and was great to deal with - he put us at ease knowing that our roof was in good hands.

The work turned out well. There was a bit of a mix up because they were only going to clean regular gutters and we have Gutter Guard. However, they compromised with me and dealt with me pretty well.

I spoke with the provider and this deal will not meet my needs based on the fine print. I will be seeking a refund.

Went well. Kirby did very good job. There was LOTS of stuff on both roofs.

Kirby Smith and his partner were hired to clean my gutters and sweep my roof. I also got some decent observations about the condition of my gutters, chimney, porch railings, and garage door framing, which expands into their "outdoor contracting" branch of their company. The work took about half an hour, as was estimated. They cleaned out the gutters by hand on my two-story home, and also used a leaf blower to blow off the pine needles and stray leaves on the roof. Kirby also took photos of my cracked chimney cap and gave me an estimate for stripping, re-sealing, and pouring concrete for it ($250), which I will compare to my chimney sweep's estimate next week. Kirby also brainstormed with me on repairing options for our two-car garage door, which is has a sagging frame (plank on top is too short). All of which are not cheap, but he had some good recommendations for ways to make-do until we were ready to tackle the problem. We are new homeowners, and his expertise was quite informative. He also recommended that we caulk our porch railings at all the joints (there is no caulk present, just a new paint job) to prevent rot, and gave us a little bit of a tube of caulk to get us started (about an inch left in the tube). He also stated he would send me an estimate over e-mail for gutter-guards (he measured my roof gutters for a linear foot estimate). I would definitely hire Kirby again. Honest service, quality service. The only negative aspect was that he gave me a 9-11am window, but was delayed to 11:45. This was due to freezing weather the night before, and he was digging out gutters at his previous appointment for a lot longer than he anticipated. Which is an understandable delay, but not on my radar at all as I am not in the gutter business. A phone call the night before upon a quick glance at the weather forecast would have been helpful for my schedule. I am certain that this was a one-time occurance due to a surprise freezing.

Their Angie's List review was positive and the price is right.

Kirby came to my house to give a free estimate; on his way out, he tarped one of the really bad spots on my roof. He was knowledgeable and friendly, and his crew was professional and hardworking. Of all the estimates that I received, Kirby's was in the middle of the road (not the most expensive, and not the cheapest). I could have gotten the work done for cheaper, but I would have sacrificed quality service - in other words, it was worth it.

Kirby and his crew were great. Kirby originally did a free assessment of our roof due to hail damage in the area. He was very proactive and communicated well with the insurance adjuster during the claim process. Kirby was responsive and available for any questions throughout. The roofing work was done in a professional and timely manner, and he went the extra mile to make sure the cleanup was done after the job was complete. We would definitely use Litespeed Construction again and will refer to others. Thanks again!

Very knowledgeable and professional. Repairs were performed quickly with quality material and craftsmanship. I called Mr. Smith soon after our home repair and needed emergency roof repair on a commercial property I manage. He and his crew responded immediately and repaired the roof preventing damage from heavy rains which occurred several days later. Mr. Smith gets the job done.
