He gave us the best price. They're great. He did exactly what should have been done. The trees were topped and thinned out. The trees are coming back they look great. They cleaned up. They took everything with them. They cleaned up the yard. They were very polite. In fact, there was this one fellow that went up the tree that I was really concerned about because he was the only one up there with this chainsaw and he didn't wear a harness. I was concerned and I asked them and I went out and they said that Scott is very good and he knows what he's doing and don't worry about him.

Lancaster was great in everything they did. With this many huge trees all around my house getting cut down, we knew there would be some collateral damage to our yard and flower beds, etc. They were so careful that it was much less damage than we thought. You can't drive a bobcat thru your yard without messing it up so that was expected. They hauled off every single stick and limb and cleaned up perfectly. They followed up to ensure everything was in good shape. The cost was much less than I had originally expected based on other work I had done years ago.

It didn't go at all. Ms. Gomez and Lancaster were no-shows. There are many better -- and reliable -- options in the Knoxville area.

Good crew who worked diligently in a very small space to bring down large trees, requiring removing panels from two areas of fencing. Stumps were ground and grindings were distributed evenly. Work was done when promised, and I was happy to wait the 7 weeks after the estimate and scheduling (told to me upfront), because this indicates a long list of customers in questionable winter weather conditions. Very pleased with the result and would use again.

The arborist did an excellent job of pruning and the trees look great. He brought a chipper for the cuttings and a truck to hold the chippings. He has a couple fellows assist, but supervised their activities. There was a lot of work to do, so I believe the price was fair. I also had him trim off all the branches from a Birch Tree that hung over the roof. The original landscaper planted it too close to the house, but it seemed fine when it was a little tree. I have learned that Lancaster Tree and Lawn Service does a lot of business in the neighborhood unknown to me, so I trusted Angie's List. I definitely recommend this company and will have them again when the need arises. They provided prompt and professional service par excellent. A+

The owner came out within a day or two of our call. He was very professional, and we agreed to have his company do the work. He indicated that they had a lot of work backed up and probably wouldn't get to our job until January. Since we didn't think there was any immediate danger because of the trees, we decided that the schedule was acceptable. (But we did think that it was quite a delay for doing such a relatively simple job. Perhaps they are extremely busy, which is a positive indication, rather than a negative one.) Before Christmas, an office staff person contacted us and said they could perform the work on December 26. The 3-person crew showed up the afternoon of the 26th, and in relatively short order (about an hour), completed the work. They did a quality job. No down payment was required and we payed the crew chief on the spot after they finished up. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again. We signed up for Angie's list so that we could find reputable contractors such as Lancaster Tree Service.

We chose Lancaster because they did an excellent job removing a large Bradford pear tree for a neighbor. Dan Laine, who gave us a written estimate, was very knowledgeable and helpful in discussing the scope of the work. When the work crew arrived, the lead person reviewed with me the work to be done, and all of the work was done exactly as we had requested. The work crew members were very professional and courteous and the cleanup work was excellent. We were very pleased with the results.

These guys did an awesome job. The crew of 4 men named Abraham, Chris, Noah and Hernando were professional, efficient, clean and very good at their jobs. It took close to 5 hours to complete the job and involved tree climbing and use of a bucket truck. They operated safely, which is very important to me, and they seemed to genuinely have fun while they were working. They left my yard cleaner than it was when they arrived. Some of the trees were cut into large logs and they stacked these by my curb and one fo their trucks picked them up by 8am the next morning. I HIGHLY recommend Lancaster Tree service.

They provided excellent service and exceeded my expectations in the work that was performed. For example, we agreed that they should trim branches back 8-10 feet from the houses, but they did better than that (with my permission, of course). They didn't just Pollard the branches, but used reliable tree pruning techniques. They frequently asked whether I approved of the work they were doing and seemed eager to please. When they were done, they cleaned up the yard better than it was before they came.

They came out and reviewed what needed to be done within a few days of us calling. They left a quote at the door along with proof of insurance. The quote was detailed in what service they would perform and when they could perform it. We accepted and they scheduled the job within a few days, came when they said they would be there and you can't even tell there was ever a tree in the yard. They removed the tree out of the yard and off the roof, cleaned and raked the area!!!

They came and gave us an estimate and a week later came to do the work. The crew finished in one day. I did have to call and make sure they could schedule us on a day that I would be home.

It went very well. The representative came out and did a detailed estimate and gave a reasonable price. They arrived on the day scheduled and did an excellent job. It wasn't easy removing a large dead tree beside our fence but they did it we'll and clean up was excellent.

Everyone at Lancaster is an expert in their job, extremely professional, and just great to work with. The job was estimated within a day or two of my call and the work scheduled within a couple of weeks after that. As Lancaster does emergency storm damage repair, I had to wait a few days past the scheduled appointment but it was more than worth the wait. Oh, and I kept adding to the work and Sarah, their estimator/scheduler, came out to review the additions without hesitation. Owner, Matt Lancaster has the best equipment; cranes, chippers, and saws, as well as expert climbers and a ground crew you can't beat. You can almost feel the respect his employees have for one another - safety comes before anything else! It was amazing to watch, 3 days at my house, and the job went without a hitch. Even though these huge trees were almost right up against my house and a large shed, Lancaster was able to dismantle the trees with absolutely NO damage to surroundings trees, structure, or other property. As I requested the large white oak wood remain on my property for friends needing firewood, Jeff placed the huge cut trees exactly where I wanted them. Of course, they also chipped all the brush leaving only the needed logs. Don't think you have to hire the uninsured guys out there because you think you will get a good price. I've had those guys in the past and will never risk with them again. Lancaster's prices are more than competitive, lower than most, and my experience with them cannot be beat. I will definitely use them in the future and will recommend them for any tree service.

We thought the quote was fair. We hired him because when he came out her he took his time to look at what we asked him to. The other man did not do that. He just sat down on the ground and quoted the 2 trees and he was higher than he said he was. I wasn't happy at all with that. But Lancaster was very courteous and they're still working and so far everything looks fine. They finished and there were no problems.

We had a quick storm blow through our subdivision. It blew down a tree that (thankfully) just missed our house, and did no damage, except to make a bit of a mess. UNfortunately, this was part of a 3-trunk-cluster chestnut oak, each trunk being (I'm guessing) 50 ft tall! The remaining two trunks were left leaning, one toward my next-door neighbor's house, the other toward a house behind mine. We felt that we needed to act quickly to get them taken down. The first place I called was Lancaster, which was very highly rated on Angie's List. They were not able to come for several hours to give me an estimate, so in the mean time I called several others. I got some really good advice from a couple of small tree service businesses, but they did not feel that they had the proper equipment to deal with this dangerous situation. Specifically, it was going to require a bucket truck with 90 to 100 ft reach. Both of these guys warned me that this was probably going to cost 4 to 5 thousand dollars! In fact, I later did get a quote from a large reputable firm for $4000. Lancaster came out an carefully evaluated the situation and consulted with me about details. They ended up doing the job for $1400. Everyone associated with Lancaster was friendly and professional. The work was done promptly, and to our complete satisfaction.

Their price was reasonable. It was a great experience. The person who came out to give us a quote was very professional, provided several pieces of documentation after their insurance. Their price was lower than those of the other companies I got a quote from. At the time of service, they were fair with scheduling, showed up on time and finished pretty quickly I believe. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

Lancaster arrived on time and proceeded to cut down trees using a crew armed with several chain saws and ropes. There was a lot of work to be done and the day was a bit on the hot side, but they finished the job on time and removed all debris. A very good experience indeed, and, after comparing their cost with several other quotes, these folks provided the best bang for the buck. Well done; we'll use them again in the future if there's a need.

Called for an estimate; Sara was out within 24 hours to do the quote. Requested services ASAP; advised she would check the schedule and call back on Monday; Still hadn't received a call by Friday, so I followed up and found that it was going to be two weeks before they would be out. Crew came out on the 29th and removed pines, chipped limbs and removed four trees. Crew showed up without grinder; grinding took another week before complete. Fourth stump was not quoted for grinding, so it wasn't done. Called the office and was advised they could come back out and do it for an additional $50; declined. Crew cleaned areas where work was done to my satisfaction.

We were extremely pleased with the entire procedure that Lancaster did for us. They were honest with the date of completion. We had had several huge storms causing mulit jobs for them. We had no problem waiting for them. They were here withing a few days of est. time. Did the job with no problems and clean up was as we had asked them to do. We wanted the firewood and they left it right where we wanted. The Groupon saved us quite a bit of money and we are very pleased to have used them.

The work was performed extremely well and efficiently. They seemed genuinely concerned with the condition of the trees and making sure the health of the trees was considered when trimming. The pruning/shaping of the maples was performed in a manner much better than I expected. They look great. A few weeks later they came back and pruned a few more trees from the maple at for no charge because they wanted it to look good. All the branches and debris were removed from the cutting areas. Price was fair. I would recommend them to anyone.
