Description of Work: Well, I had an outlet that stopped working. Also, the GFI was somewhat hidden or I would have tried that myself. When the guy came he basically pushed the button and got everything working again. Then he charged me $150 for that button push. I contacted the main office and they changed it to just the service fee. I gave a C on professionalism of the person who came out but gave an A for responsiveness of the main office. I would not use that tech again but I think Hiller did right by me.

Description of Work: There was an issue with communication on when the tech would arrive. I was told I would be notified 30 minutes prior to tech arrival but did not receive a call and the tech showed up at 11pm. The tech was very apologetic and the appt. was rescheduled for the next day and all went well

Description of Work: They did three unit inspections for me last year for $100, I was planning to install the water heater with them but they were a little pricey so we went with another company.

Description of Work: The folks at Hiller installed a complete HVAC and new duct work. I was impressed with their helpfulness and subject knowledge. The removal of the old unit and placement of the new one was amazingly quick- thanks!

Description of Work: We bought the Happy Hiller customer package and had some plumbing redone on our rental house. The cost turned out to be twice what other plumbers quoted but we let Hiller do it because they could do it quickest. Happy with the job but very unhappy with the price. Then the air conditioner went out at our home and we called them to look at it. They said it was the compressor, estimate was between $600 and $700. I forgot we have a home warranty, so I also called them. They came out and their 2 month apprentice saw upon walking up to the unit that a snake had been sucked into the fan. I can't help but wonder why the Hiller serviceman did not see it when he had the cover off the unit. He also was very negative about the other company that works with our warranty company and I don't think that was very professional, especially considering their apprentice did better than he did. I would not recommend them mostly because their prices are about double what anyone else's are. The work on the rental plumbing was done well but too high. The inspection on our ac unit was not done well at all. We are going to let our subscription run out and will not be renewing.

Description of Work: Very good communications with them. Returned calls promptly, made an appt. to come out and arrived on time. Problem with a kitchen drain was cleared quickly.

Description of Work: I had a well that was not working. Hiller replaced the pump and foot valve, which I purchased. When the well failed to function due to an electrical problem, Hiller did not charge me for the work they did. I would use them again for any plumbing problem.

Description of Work: I was impressed by the professionalism. He located the leak, showed me the problem and discussed two solution options. He treated me respectfully and explained the steps in his process. He had everything he needed to complete the job and worked quickly. As a woman, I appreciate it when I am treated as someone smart enough to understand the issue. I would definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: Upgraded electrical connection for hot water heater and reinstalled new water heater (which we provided.) The service and responsiveness were fine, but I thought the price was high for what they actually had to do.

Description of Work: I needed to replace an original, 30-year-old HVAC system in my home. Prior to my purchase of the home, a significant addition was made to the home but the HVAC was not upgraded to accommodate it. I obtained three estimates. Hiller was first. Bridgette came to give me my estimate and I was completely happy with the experience. She showed me how to see the age and rating/size of my old unit, and explained how she went about determining the size of the unit I needed. She explained the efficiency of the units and how to compare them. She measured the spot for the new unit and realized it would be a tight for a new unit, and called around to get cabinet measurements for various units in order to ensure they would fit in the utility closet. She left me with three options, basically a "good, better, and best". The other two estimators from other companies who came out seemed somewhat uninformed by comparison. One tried to tell me that the old HVAC was 40 years old (10 years older than the house itself - which was possible but unlikely), and that it was a much smaller size than I had thought and when I showed him how Bridgette had told me how to determine the age and size, he said he had misread it - a significant error since the estimate he wrote up was for a smaller size than I already had! The other estimator never even came inside - when I insisted the closet was very small and he might need measurements, he said he was sure it was fine. This backstory is to explain my quandary... Hiller's estimate was much, much higher than the other two - 33% higher than the middle one and 40% higher than the lowest one. But I just didn't want to deal with people who would not measure or read properly so I called Bridgette to explain. After a couple of hours she called me back and advised Hiller would match the 2nd highest price - which I thought was a reasonable deal. They were able to install literally within 24 hours after I made my decision. There was a reasonable financing option which I utilized. I did receive the wrong thermostat - we had agreed to a wi-fi enabled one but I received a standard one and that was changed out within two days. HVAC works great - only used the A/C so far but icy cold and powerful, and saving me a ton of money on electric. Best of all, I have a 10 year full warranty - I don't pay for service calls or parts or labor - good peace of mind from that, although the other two companies offered that too. |Finally, I should mention the Happy Hiller program - I received a free year of this service and have already received my plumbing and electrical inspection. I expected that their worker would come and find a zillion things wrong with my plumbing and electrical, and all would be dire emergencies. You can imagine my surprise when they showed up, did the inspections, asked some questions and that was all. No critical, high dollar emergency repairs on my to-do list, which was a relief and, honestly, made me trust them more than if they had found a bunch of issues. |In summary, my recommendation is to include Hiller in your estimates and if you like them best but the price is higher than the others, negotiate.

Description of Work: HVAC repair and, later on, service. The original call was for service after a thunderstorm. They came quickly and repaired the AC immediately. Later they came to perform a rutine maintenance on the HVAC and plumbing in the house. They were courtious and knowledgeable. I would highly reccomend Hiller for your heating and air needs.

Description of Work: Hiller heating and cooling is an exceptional company that strives for 100% satisfaction. They had a part ordered for my furnace that took two weeks to come in. I sent an email to Mr. Hiller with my complaint and received a response from Mr. Hiller promptly. My complaint was handled quickly with the service manager calling to assure me that they were checking on the problem. The issue was fixed in the same day. His employees assured me Mr. Hiller is serious that his customers are taken care of to the best of their ability. His employees are very knowledgable, thorough and professional. They wear shoe covers upon entering the house and clean up after the job is complete. On some products they install such as garbage disposals and water heaters they extend the warranty beyond the manufactures warranty as they use quality products. After the service call they call and send you a letter to see if the work is done satisfactory. The world would be a better place if everyone did their job as good as Hiller Heating and Plumbing and Cooling.

Description of Work: The fan on our HVAC system stopped working as well as marginal cooling. The repairman came promptly (thankfully since the house was approaching 85degrees!), fixed the system and was finished within 2hrs. We were very pleased and will use them again should the need arise.

Description of Work: Used this company for several small jobs on my residence. I had to get my sewer drain line replaced and figured I would just use them as usual but decided to get a quote from them and another company. Hiller wanted $5000 and the other company gave me an estimate of $2200. I obviously went with the lower bid and the local company did a great job. Hiller is an overpriced marketing machine, do not use them if you like your money.
