Farmer Garage Door

We have had Farmer's work on our garage door several times over the last couple of years and have always been happy with their service. A couple of months ago, the emergency cord got hung on the roof of our suv as we backed out of the garage and messed up the way it opened and closed. It kept getting stuck and we were not able to use the door unless we did it manually. We called Farmers, they came out and diagnosed what they felt the problem was, and "fixed it". Not long after, it jammed up again and quit working. They came out again and reprogrammed the motor, thinking that would fix the problem. Shortly after, it did it again. Quite frustrating! However, this last time when they came out, they replaced everything (motor, tracking, sensors) at no cost to us. That was not what I was expecting and I greatly appreciate it when a company goes above and beyond to fix a problem. Thanks. Farmers! You have a customer for life!

It was great. If they had said we needed a new garage door, we would have believed it too. So they are honest, fixed it & we'll spread the word. They were recommended by several in my womens' network group. We were not members of Angie's list in Feb.

It went very well and it was a pleasant surprise that David Webster was in the area and could fix the problem. He was very professional and asset to the company. I also must mention Julie in the office, she was very efficient and helpful.. I am so glad that they came in such a short time since I have a problem climbing stairs. They are an A+ company to me.

Sam was the technician he arrived early and it only took him an hour to replace and try to fix a few problems from the previous garage door installer. Very professional, friendly and informative. I am so glad I found them through Angie's list. I will definitely recommend and they have got me as a customer. Thank you!

The cable on one side of my garage door had snapped and the door would not move. It was crooked and stuck open about 8 inches on one side and 2 on the other. Called a couple of places that couldn't come out the same day. Farmers had good reviews on Angie's list and I called them. The lady who I spoke with to schedule the appointment was very friendly and knowledgable and helped diagnose the problem over the phone. She said she could squeeze me into the schedule the same day! Mid afternoon, Dave and Skip came to the house to do the repair. They were great guys who explained everything in detail and showed me the broken parts. I have a 20 year old door and opener. They didn't try to sell anything that wasn't necessary.... "Everything else here looks good, no need to replace things that aren't broken." The door was fixed quickly and is now working just fine. Would definitely use Farmers again.

I came home from work and discovered that my garage door would only raise part way. When I looked things over, I found that one of the springs at the top of the garage door opening had snapped. The original installer was Farmer Garage Door (many years ago). Angie's List revealed that Farmer Garage Door had excellent ratings across the board. I gave them a call at 4:45 p.m. and Julie and Diane had me scheduled within 2 days. I even received a discount for being a member of Angie's List. Mark and Chris arrived promptly at the scheduled time and got right to work. They finished replacing both springs within 45 minutes. I could not ask for more. All company representatives were very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. Great Service! I highly recommend them.

They arrived a little late due to the address being written down wrong. They were very apologetic about it and they immediately started working on the garage. They replaced two springs on the garage and fixed the bottom half of another garage door. They were very efficient and pleasant to work with. I plan on having them come back out to finish the repair on the other garage door.

I found Farmer Garage Door on Angie's List. I called the next morning and they worked me into their schedule. I can't say enough great things about these guys. Called me ahead to meet at my home, knew what to do immediately, and did it. That's not all, they went ahead and lubricated the door, looked it over for safety, installed screws that I didn't know I was missing. I didn't have to do anything. I highly recommend these folks, ask for David and Skip...

Technician was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. He quickly fixed my problem and coached me on how I could program the remote if I ever had another such problem. I recommend Farmer's without reservations.

I called Farmer after having a completely miserable experience with Precision Door Service, I called late in the afternoon and was greeted by a friendly voice. I explained the issue with the torsion spring and immediately they were able to give me a quote for the work and schedule a time for staff to come out. When staff arrived (on time) they were extremely professional and had the work completed in less than an hour. During the replacement and inspection they noticed an issue with one of the parts for the garage door opener, they brought the issue to my attention promptly along with the price to replace. The garage door is back in full working order and I would, without hesitation, recommend Farmers to anyone looking to have an honest company repair / inspect their garage door.

He performed his work in professional manner and the door works great and is much quieter. He was a bit late, probably due to being very booked up. Too many good reviews from others has made this company in demand :).

Due to previously scheduled appointments that we could not postpone, we eventually went with another company, but would certainly consider Farmer in the future, based on many of the other reviews on Angie's List. I must report the difficulty I have had with the review process. How can I give an overall rating when, as I previously reported, did not actually use this company? I would like to put N/A for "Overall", but the review site will not allow that.

Everything went very well. They did what they said, when they said, and for the price they said. The workmanship was excellent and two years later I am still very happy with the results.

Called provider for service based on Angie's List reviews. Service tech pointed out the issues with our old doors and recommended replacement. This was not really a surprise to us and we did not think this was a sales tactic, but a fair assessment of the doors' status. Service tech did not charge us for the call. He gave us necessary information to research garage door replacement options--types of doors and brand names. He answered all our questions and gave us the Farmer's Garage showroom address. We visited the showroom several weeks later and selected the replacement doors. They gave us Angie's List discount as requested. Once the doors were received, someone from their office called to schedule installation. The only snafu that we had was that we understood that the initial service tech would install our doors and when I asked for him the caller said she would put it on his schedule. The installers called the morning of the install to indicate time of arrival which was prompt. However, the person we requested did not come. When I asked about it, apparently there was some confusion over the name I requested. However, the installers who came, Sam and Eli, were very courteous and assured me that they would do a great job for me. I checked on them several times and they were always hard at work. They cleaned up after themselves and answered any questions that we had. Even though the project was expensive, the cost seemed to be reasonable for the doors that we chose as we upgraded our doors from what we had previously. We also paid extra for an outdoor keypad which is included in total price.

Garage door came off track and damaged several pieces. Called Farmer garage door and they came same day. Repaired existing pieces as much as possible without unnecessary new parts. Calibrated door perfectly. It has never operated more smoothly! Very pleased with service and price.

The repair tech called me before arriving. By the time I arrived at the house, he had the garage door righted and was checking the springs and cables.He was able to do this since the door would niether close or open beyond a 3' height.Neither of us could determine what caused the door to jump the track and get lopsided. He told me what he was doing, how he was doing the work., He fully lubricated the tracks; told me the cables were in fine shape and then reconnected the door trolley to the chain drive. He was a super tech. Very professional and polite.

I called on a Friday about 12:30 pm after talking to Williams Door Company, who had originally installed my garage door and the old opener. I was unable to open the door even using the manual release when my opener malfunctioned. Williams would not send someone to my home until Monday because the spring was not broken. I called Farmer, the customer service was great, they took my information, sent out a technician, David within about an hour, to at least get my car out of the garage. He was able to open the door and determined the garage door opener which was very old needed to be replaced, he left for about 30 minutes and returned with the new opener and keypad. By 4:30 pm the new door opener was installed. They were great and I would recommend them to anyone in the future.

Customer representative was very helpful. Installers were very nice and the installation went smoothly and quickly. I am very satisfied with the quality of the garage door. Nice experience.

Very profession. It was an unusual job as the ceiling was too low to accommodate a track. Guides were cut & rejoined to accommodate. Minor adjustment was overlooked, installer was called & returned immediately.

EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! We are very pleased.

They did a good job for us and helped us get out of the (0:42 to 0:43). We have two garage doors and one of them jumped the track. I called in and they came right out within probably less than an hour and got the door back on track and got it operating smoothly. It was good. I just liked the fact that they were here quite promptly, resolved the situation for us and got the door functioning again. Fortunately my wife managed to get her car out that morning and then when she started to put it back down that's when it jumped the track and was not functioning.

It was good. It seemed very complete. They did forget one of the things that we'd asked for but the owner brought a buy on his own and actually gave it to us no cost so they were quick to respond. Other than that, they did a good job. They had to come by and give us the other remote.

I told him it was better than Christmas!!! We had been without our garage door functioning properly for 1.5 years and I got fed up with it. My husband is not a handyman. Farmers' was so helpful on the phone and the serviceman they sent out was just terrific; very friendly, helpful and efficient. He did not waste time in getting the job done; top professional marks to him!! I would happily recommend this company and this serviceman, in particular, again and again. I obtained quotes from 2 garage door companies. Farmer's quote was almost half as much as the other firm. Farmer installed the doors quickly, and on time. I am 100% satisfied with Farmer's garage door service.
