Farmer Garage Door

I called and was able to get an appointment the same day. The installer called and gave me an arrival time and arrived at that time. Broken garage door spring was replaced quickly and door inspected to insure it was operating properly. Workman was professional and friendly. I would hire Farmer Garage Door again. Excellent service!

AWESOME! The technician was extremely knowledgeable. He checked out the rest of our garage door and made some adjustments along with several other minor things. He was extremely quick and efficient!! Went perfectly from the time I called to set up an appointment to the service guy finishing the work. The repair and cost of the job was explained well and done quickly and professionally.

Came out for a consultation and the gentleman was very knowledgeable about the different doors. He brought samples and left me with some books. I called back once we had decided which door we were going to go with and within a week and a half the door that was ordered was in and ready to be installed. They did a great job! Very professional.

I called on a holiday and received immediate engagement. The tech came out a couple of days later, per my requested schedule, and was quite handy. He assessed the problem (which was less impactful than I thought it was) and did value-add work (lining and adjusting the whole system) as part of his service call.

Garage door opener had to be replaced. The work was completed promptly and professionally, and I am very happy with the new opener--it's quite an improvement over the old one.

It went really well. They were on time. They were efficient and were very pleasant people to work with. I noticed a couple days later that the seal around one of the windows wasn't right (manufacturer defect) and they came right out and ordered a new panel at no charge to me.

Excellent service. This was the first time we used Angie's list. Jon (or John?), the sales associate who came to our house was professional, courteous, on time, and was everything that we would want from a sales associate. The installer's were excellent as well, very professional and courteous. The garage door was of a very good quality and better than the quality of our last installation. The office staff that we dealt with over the phone were very warm, engaging, and helpful. Every person we dealt with appeared to be concerned that we received quality service. Highly, highly recommend.

I couldn't ask for better service. They came the same day I called. Repairs went exactly as explained with no surprises. My garage door works perfectly now.

The service went well. I misidentified the door type initially. They asked if it was a 4 panel or a 5 panel door. I've lived here for 10 years, and never bothered to count the panels. I've always felt that it was a "short" door, so I thought it was a 4 panel. I was wrong. Crawford doors are 5 panel doors. So when they came out to service the broken spring, they didn't have the correct springs. Crawford springs are special order. They gauged the existing springs (which I had replaced by a different company 7 years ago), and ordered the springs, then came out the first thing the next week to replace them. The only problem was that the service tech that came out to replace them had more experience with the Crawford doors than the initial tech, and realized that this type of door actually uses 2 different spring sizes. They replaced the springs with the ones that they brought, and promised to return with the correct springs. They returned the next week with the correct second spring. Now the door works better than it has in over 10 years, and who knows how much longer before that. Without the correct springs, the door was never balanced properly. Now, with the correct springs, the door can be raised and lowered by hand using one arm. This might not seem significant, except for the fact that these old Crawford doors are solid hardwood construction. So I'd estimate that my 16' x 7' door weighs around 350lbs or so. Getting these springs right has allowed me to install a new belt drive door opener, which I couldn't be happier with. They did a great job, and if I ever need future garage door repair, I'll be calling Farmer.

Great, all the way around. The office staff were very on point and courteous. They could not say for sure they would make it that day but said they would try and call me let me know they came out. The service team did exactly that and made it by lunch time, and provided quick, professional service. Skip and his partner went above and beyond, giving advice to me about the strips under the doors. They were really good guys to work with.

They arrived later than planned, but it was not a problem because I was able to contact the company and they quickly located the crew. They did the spring replacement on one door and even adjusted and lubricated both garage doors. They replaced worn pulley at a cheap added cost ~$5/pulley. They did a great job and were reasonable on price.

I can't say enough about this company. When I called in, Diane was very pleasant and courteous. She scheduled their salesman (David) to come to my house the next day. David was very professional and knowledgeable, and explained the different doors to me. He said since I had single doors, I really didn't need their more expensive replacements. The same went for the openers - I didn't need the higher-end models. Holy smokes...I've never had a company recommend exactly what I needed; regardless of the fact that I was spending less. I appreciated that so much because I don't know a lot about garage doors, and I could have easily spent more money without thinking a thing about it. The doors were $700 each, plus $100 for extras that I wanted. $2400 was nothing by the time I purchased both doors (with extras), two garage door openers, and paid for labor. Chris installed both of my doors, and he was also very professional and knowledgeable. He was careful while he worked, and cleaned up before he left. He was so nice; he didn't mind that I sat and watched a lot of what he did. After he was done, he educated me on how to maintain the doors. I'm so thankful for Farmer Garage Door. I felt like family from the very beginning. Plus, if it had not been for Angie's List, I wouldn't have known about this company, so I might not have called them. I am so happy with how this all turned out.
