It was great. They were prompt, efficient, and did their job quickly and professionally. I found them through a local electrical company. They provided a list of people who do different jobs and they also gave us the best quote.

The work crew arrived @ the appointed time & day and were cordial and professional in their duties. After placing a series of aprons around the house they began a tear off of the shingles . They picked up the old shingles & tar paper & hauled it off . They used a magnetic sweep bar around the house to ensure that there were no nails in/on the yard. They installed new metal roof and completed the work the following day. ( A NOTE OF ADVICE to anyone replacing a shingle roof with metal roof , be sure to budget additional $ to replace your rain gutters with a larger size gutter as rain sheets off metal faster than off shingles !)

Having not worked with a contractor before, we weren't quite sure what to expect, but were very pleased with the work that Custom Renovations completed for us. They arrived for work each day early and worked hard. The guys that did the work were knowledgeable, helpful, and polite. We appreciated their guidance in making decisions and completing the jobs. The house looks great! In addition, the final cost came very close to the estimate that Mark had provided upfront. The only additional charges were for some surprises that came up along the way, which we anticipated in a house that was built in 1945. They also made adjustments to the total for work that wasn't completed. In the upstairs bathroom, Custom Renovations removed an existing standing shower stall allowing us to enlarge the space with a tiled shower. They also added a vent fan, replaced the vanity/mirror/lights, put down new vinyl flooring, painted the ceiling, and added a GFI electrical outlet. In the master bedroom, Custom Renovations enlarged a small closet space into the attic space behind creating a large walk-in with more hanging and shelving options. They also built in a door to allow us access to the rest of the attic where there is additional space. They put down carpeting in the new area. Downstairs they pulled up old carpeting to expose the hardwood floors underneath. They also agreed to pull up the tack strips and to fill the holes, but we ultimately decided to wait on that work until we can have the hardwood looked at by a flooring company to see about repairing an area that has mild stains. They also replaced the vanity in the downstairs bathroom. While completing this job, they found a plumbing issue (corroded pipe) that they replaced and repaired. All three jobs have made a tremendous difference in our home, and we are thrilled with the improvements! Based on the work that Custom Renovations did and the fact that they were able to stay close to the original estimate, we are looking into having the fourth job (re-doing a 2nd floor deck) done. Custom Renovations has agreed to create a new estimate and options for this work. We would highly recommend Custom Renovations. They were professional, skilled, trustworthy, and friendly. We really appreciated all that they did for us.

CRC did a first rate job, they took no shortcuts and the final result was beautiful. The crew was polite and professional. I was especially impressed with their cleanliness. I would also like to say that previous work by CRC was equally first rate.

We found Mark on Angie's list by his outstanding reviews. And in our experience, Mark's company lived up to our expectations and then some. During the gutter installation, he pointed out several ways to change things to improve the water flow from the downspouts, and we took his recommendations. We scheduled a time for them to come out, and Mark and his crew showed up on time ready to work. The thing both myself and my wife appreciated was their attention to detail. They didn't rush their work, and cleaned up after themselves as they went along. The new gutters look great, but more importantly we had a heavy downpour the next day and the system performed flawlessly, and water went where it was supposed to go. We have contracted his company for additional work in the near future. Glad to report a happy experience with his company.

About three people came out and they were prompt and quick. It took about eight hours. I would tell a friend or family member to be diligent upfront with the company.

First thing I noticed was Mark's customer service. He returned calls when he promised he would. He told us he had a very busy schedule but he was able to squeeze us in between jobs. He gave us appointment times & called to advise if he'd be a few minutes late (who does that these days?). I very much appreciated how Mark kept us informed of his schedule with us. One of the jobs was to install 2 new exterior doors and I guess the fellow realized the job wouldn't be done by the end of the day so another fellow was sent to help him get the job done. They made a very efficient team & finished the project. The fellows that worked for him were very polite & well mannered and always cleaned up after they were done. They didn't leave any garbage (left over flooring, cardboard boxes or debris), in our bins but took everything with them. Floors were swept too. All together Mark had a crew of 3 guys and one lady. They all dealt with us professionally and I felt were trustworthy to have access to different areas of our home without supervision. We've contracted with Mark for other projects - he was able to fit us in his schedule! June 10th, 2014 We had more work for Mark which he promised he would get to in the next couple of weeks following the first job we gave him. Since then we've left several voice messages, texts & emails & we haven't received a reply. I would only accept this kind of lack of response if either he's out of business or he died. Not returning calls is unacceptable. We paid his invoice the moment he presented it to us... very disappointed.

Mark had to cancel the original date planned because he ran into problems on another job which prevented him from coming. We rescheduled and the job was completed in a timely manner at a reasonable cost.

He was great. He was very courteous, did a good job, and didn't make a mess.

Scheduling was good and they arrived as scheduled each day. They seemed to do a good job. They had a crew of several people who completed the work in a week and a half.

Gentleman is very nice and soft spoken and he did a good job. The problem was the timeliness of getting back with me with the estimate and responding after I called to find out what was going on. Was told would get estimate in 2 days it was two weeks later after I contacted them when I received it. Gentleman was late for each meeting and to start work and if he called it would be atleast an hour later to say he was running late. The work was good but if you are in a hurry or on a time restraint beware. This was frustrating.

This company was slow getting back to us to submit a bid. Once he looked at the job, it took him 4-5 days to submit a bid. By then, we had accepted another bid. When he came to see the job, as my husband pointed out what we wanted done, he seemed uninterested in that work but kept making suggestions about other work we needed done, like replacing doors, etc... We are remodeling but we are doing it in stages and we just wanted the work we asked him to bid on done at that time. Because of his attitude, we didn't select him. Maybe he shouldn't be listed under "soffitt and guttering work" on Angie's List because it is too small for him to do. This was an unfortunate experience because had he been more prompt and interested, we might have selected him and once the job was done, if it had gone well, we would have hired him to do the additional work that we need done.

They did an excellent job in a very short amount of time. Mark and his crew were professional and very thorough. It looks great. We appreciate their work very much.

Custom Renovations had done work for me on replacing the gutters after the infamous ice storm a couple years back. I was impressed with the service, ease of contact, price, and quality of work before so I called them again. Same great service and quality as before in a very timely manner. The old insulation was held up with the little metal rods that resulted in the old insulation starting to tear and fall out (hence the desire to do it over). The new insulation under the house looks pristine! There is a nice webbing material under the insulation to hold everything in place which will provide long lasting support . The thicker insulation should reduce my energy cost more and provide for comfy warm floors in the winter :) The roof repair was tops. The best compliment I can offer is that you cannot tell there was every any damage. As always, the job site was spotless after the work was done. I recommend CRC for any job you have! One very happy customer!

This job doesn't sound as complicated as it was, but CRC did a great job. I was impressed with the attention to detail and the desire to not just do the job, but do it right. While I was disappointed that my job took longer than estimated, I was pleased that that additional time was at no additional cost to me. They did a great job with clean up as well. Couldn't be happier with my new laundry room!

There was some delay in getting him there due to the single digits temperatures the week before. He was overwhelmed with frozen pipes and it took him about a week to show up. Once he got there though he got the job done quickly and without any problems.

The weather held things up several times and one of the glass panes cracked because of the cold, but they replaced it and Mark updated us as needed to changes in schedule.

All went very well. After the doors were ordered and in stock, it was a matter of getting everything done in a few days. All work was done beautifully. Mark was very professional and very easy to work with. Well worth the price and I would definitely use him again.

Workers were wonderful and open to discussion of changes, fine tuning. Carport renovation was a stripped down bare bones framing, outside siding, and electrical with one access door and one window. Work was done in a timely manner and I was able to finish out the rest myself as per our agreement.

We are very happy with this company. We've had them do gutters on our home, replace our old garage doors, frame in our basement kitchen remodel & remove our 3rd garage door & replace it with French doors. They did an excellent job on all & always clean up well. The owner, Mark Streck, is very nice, professional & easy to work with. He listens to our concerns & works with us to accomplish our needs. The only thing that I think needs improvement is scheduling & phone call response time. Sometimes we have to call several times to get an answer. However, we will continue to use them when we tackle our next project of replacing windows. We have recommended them to friends who were also very happy with their work.
