Description of Work: My two story town home has heating issues with the upstairs being 7-8 degrees warmer than the ground floor. Service member went into the attic and closed off the vent to my sleeping quarters. Service member then worked up two plans of action for my consideration: installing a mobile thermostat and secondly, reworking the ductwork forcing more air downstairs with the approximate cost of both. I'm making due with a fan in the stairwell and a humidifier to see if I can save some money and be comfortable. So far so good but I know there is a plan should I need to go further. I have a yearly contract for spring and fall service.

Description of Work: They came to fix my 30 year old heater the night before Thanksgiving. They searched high and low for a part but to no avail. They got my new system installed quickly and at a very good price. The workers were prompt, quick and very professional.

Description of Work: Came to do a tune up for a deal that was on Half Off depot. Technician said that "Checked package unit. Found that heat exchanger is cracked. If furnace is ran, carbon monoxide can be present. Heat exchanger not under warranty. The compressor has a hard start kit on it. This shows there may be an a/c problem." | |After this turned in a home warranty claim to get this replaced. They inspected it and said it was only a scratch and that the with the Unit being 16 years old that a hard start capacitor was normal. Unit has been working fine since. We have a Carbon Monoxide detector and it has never went off.

It is disturbing to discover the warranty company representative did not locate the crack in the heat exchanger. Several people die each year from carbon monoxide poisoning. While a carbon monoxide detector is a great device to have in your home, by the time it goes off you may have already experienced head aches and other symptoms. In addition, most detectors have a shelf life; meaning you must replace after 2 years or so. I would love to send our technician back out, at no charge, even after two years to meet with you and possibly the other company to point out the crack in the heat exchanger.
