I had requested appointment late one evening through Angie's list & had a response the next morning. Joe arrived at the time we set up. I showed Joe what I needed done, he went over charges with me & after I agreed he immediately went to work. He didn't waste any time getting everything completed in a timely manner. He cleaned every work area. Very Friendly, Great Communicator, & Very Professional & Great Value for the Money. I will definitely use Joe in the future & Highly Recommend his services.

I contacted him late yesterday and asked about either a Mon. or Tues. appt. He replied that he could come out today, due to fear of the cord giving away and the chandelier dropping two stories. He arrived 15 minutes early and he had to make a trip to Lowes for a part and did not charge us for that time. This is the second time that we have used Joe and he exceeded our expectations both times. He will be the only person we will consider for elec. issues, going forward.

I found Joe through Angie's List. Joe came out to assess the work that would need to be done and the materials that would be needed. At my option, I chose to purchase the materials for the job. Joe knew exactly what was needed. On the date of installation, Joe called me beforehand and arrived promptly. He was extremely professional throughout the entire service. He got my lighting fixtures installed in no time. Joe seemed very knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done, and also took a look at some future work I mentioned I would be getting done to see what it would entail. I have lived in the area for over 5 years and before meeting Joe I was yet to find a trustworthy electrician who was interested in doing the work the correct way. I have had electricians install ungrounded outlets in the kitchen, do sloppy installation jobs leaving a mess, or go way over the quoted price. Joe was on-point, tidy, and he knew exactly the right way to get things done. I will be having all of my future electric work done by Joe, and you should too.

Joe is fantastic. He was easy to work with, helped me schedule the switch over with the AEP contractor, and performed all the work quickly and professionally. He showed up with a pre-cut mounting board for the new box, and was able to replace everything without even splicing or extending any wires. He even climbed into the attic with me to re-route a wire that at some point had been ran outside the house, but didn't need to be. All the work looks great, and he never waivered from his original quote, which was at least 6 months old. Also, the City of Kingsport inspectors know him well, which helps with quick inspections and confidence that he'll do the work correctly from them. I wouldn't hesitate to use Joe again. I don't think you'll find a better electrician in the Tri Cities!

I contacted Livewire Electric when I had one too many experiences with circuit breakers tripping for no reason I could identify. I called Joe Magiera, Jr., the electrician and business owner, on a Friday. He returned my call promptly and agreed to come check things out the following day--Saturday morning. He arrived on time and made the rounds with the outlet tester and checked out the electrical box. The number of outlets improperly grounded outnumbered grounded by about two to one. He didn't mind my asking questions and he has a sense of humor, which I appreciate. He told me why the circuit breakers were tripping and how to avoid that, and we discussed options for replacing the kitchen light fixture. He also looked at the outside electrical outlet that I wanted to replace because it was coming loose from the wall. He was efficient, cheerful, and professional and told me he'd get back to me with an estimate, which he did promptly. We agreed on the date to have all the work done. He arrived as scheduled on that day with everything needed to do the work, including the exactly right light fixture. He works quickly, steadily, and precisely and cleans up as he goes. Fixing the light in the closet was one of those "since you're here, could you do this too" items that he said he would do if time permitted and he did it when all else was completed. He arrived at 8:30 am and was done with everything by 2pm. He didn't stop for breaks or lunch. While he was replacing the outlets in the kitchen he explained that they were all on one circuit, not unusual for a house built in 1960 but not up to modern standards. He'll be coming back in the fall to rewire the kitchen, and I may have one or two other items to add by then. Livewire Electric delivered exceptional service and value. I would hire them again and recommend them to others.

37604Mr. Magiero arrived on schedule and was pleasant and informative....his first visit was as a consultant; he came back to do the work and was done in timely fashion. He was good about discussing options for lighting changes in our house, and clear about costs of various options. Very pleased, we'll have him back in the future.

Completed the job in under an hour. VERY reasonable price. Very prompt! We'll use him in the future and would give him an A+ rating!

The electrician returned my call and came to give an estimate several days before he had planned to. He came on the day he had scheduled and completed the work in a short amount of time. All of this is a very big deal. Usually, people will not return my calls or will say they are coming by and then never show. I was impressed with the professionalism and quality of work. I will definitely use this company again and will recommend to my friends and neighbors!

Joe was awesome, he was easy to get a hold of. The price was very resonable for the work he did. He understands everything that you want done and is willing to work with you to get it done. Will use again if I need him.

Contacted Joe through the "Send A Message" function on Angie's List. He called within 15 minutes and was here within an hour. He found the problem quickly and it was a easy fix. So easy in fact (the ground fault switch had tripped) that he refused to charge me for the service call. I insisted that I pay him, but he said that he was in the area anyway and to just remember him for my next electrical problem. I sure will.

Joe did a great job for us. He was always prompt and worked diligently to get the job done. We gave Joe our house plans with the locations of the light fixtures and he simply took off. It was obvious that he had done this type of work before. I would highly recommend Joe and would use him again if I needed more electrical work done.

Joe came on the same day I contacted him and was here at the time he had scheduled. He was knowledgeable, professional and courteous. We had lights in the hall, great room, and back patio that would not go on. He checked the circuit breakers first and saw that they were working. He explained that there must be an interrupted connection somewhere else. He then reasoned that it was best to check out the electrical system starting closest to the circuit breaker box. He found a loose ground wire and connected it securely. The problem was solved quickly and neatly. Although there is a $65 charge for the first hour (extremely reasonable) Joe let me know that first time customers who used Angie's List get a $25 discount, something I was unaware of. He runs a very honest business.

He was on time and did all the work in less than 3 hours. He charged me LESS than the estimate, which was half of the other estimate I was given. I was amazed and have called all my friends to tell them to USE THIS GUY! The only downside is that, because he is so good and fair, it may take 2 weeks for him to get to you.

Joe is an absolute magician! There is nothing he can't figure out how to do. He is fast, prompt, reasonably priced, and very creative in figuring out the best and most efficient way to get something done. Plus, he's got a great sense of humor! Joe was immediately responsive, professional, and creative! The light I was installing was a bit unusual and the installation called for exact measurements on a sloped ceiling. He even had to make adjustments to the light fixture in order for it to be operable. He was quick, working with confidence, polite, neat as a pin and so pleasant and helpful with suggestions. I had ordered the light and was not sure it would work, but Joe made it possible with adjustments and creativity...but safely. I could not have asked for a smoother job and would recommend him to anyone needing electrical work performed. I prefer working with owner/operator and he fit the bill perfectly!
