Although the weather caused work to delay, the final product is excellent. Mike H is very professional and knowledgeable. Did not get to meet the crew except for the final installer of the snow rails and chimney cap. Due to the time from contract to end there was some mixup with snow rails and chimney cap but in the end it was handled well .

Despite several delays due to weather, and having to work in very cold temperatures, the workers did a fine job. Weather Tamer was very easy to work with, and the roofers were very polite. They did a thorough clean up before leaving. We are very pleased with our new roof, and glad we chose Weather Tamer from among the several we considered. You might find another company to do your roof for slightly less, but if you want QUALITY work, go with Weather Tamer. As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for."

Of the three roofing companies that we got quotes from, Weather Tamer was the most professional, and the least expensive BY FAR. They showed up exactly when they said they would to give us the quote and the discuss the quote with us. We paid a deposit in October and knew it would be 6-8 weeks until they could start. They called us before Thanksgiving and said they were running behind due to weather. However, we didn't hear from them again until we called them in January. There were still weather problems, so the project was delayed until late January. I had to call several times to get information about when they would start, they weren't very good about communicating. They also didn't show up on at least three occasions when they said they would come to measure the roof so that they could order materials. Other contractors told us that the old slats wouldn't be usable because even if they were in good shape, they weren't evenly spaced, so the screws wouldn't be in the right place. When we told Mike (owner of Weather Tamer) this before we hired them, he said it wouldn't be a problem. However, as soon as they started removing the old roof, we were informed that they couldn't use the old slats and would have to lay OSB over the entire roof, increasing our cost by $1,800. This was very frustrating because it seemed like they either deceived us or didn't know what they were talking about. They only charged us their exact cost for the OSB and increased labor, though, we we appreciated. The rest of the job went smoothly and our new roof looks good. Our neighbors are raving about how good it looks.

Mike and his crew replaced our asphalt shingle roof with a metal roof, plus new gutters with guards. Everything looks and works great. Mike's group of guys took care of all of the extra stuff too, including going above and beyond in replacing our chimney cap at no extra charge. Cleanup was good and better than is often the case. Overall, Mike's company and crew were the best value for us, and we'd recommend them highly.

Received estimate and signed contract in February. The company kept me in the loop as to when the installation would take place, and was informed it may be a few weeks. It took a little longer due to weather - not the company's fault. They did a great job installing the roof. There have been some nasty storms and high winds since then and the roof has held up really well so far in the past year. I also appreciated that they removed my old cinder block chimney which I was not going to use, as it greatly improved the aesthetics of the roof. The only thing that needs to be improved is the clean-up. I found about a dozen roofing nails around the driveway and a few months after the installation I cleaned the gutters, finding easily over 100 roofing nails. I am not sure if the cleanup was forgotten or it was just done poorly. Either way this was the only negative aspect of the installation. Everything else went smoothly. I just hope too many nails did not get flushed down the gutters with the rain water.

They put on new roof and gutters. It was a metal roof and all new gutters. They were in and out. They took two days to complete the job. The price was high but I wanted to make sure I had a good roof. The roof had a 30 years warranty.

The installation went great. WT was there when they said and started working very well. They identified an issue with my roofing underlayment, promptly notified me of the issue and asked how I wanted to proceed. We agreed to a modified contract based on the additional work. They performed and finished up the project in a timely manner. I am well satisfied.

My expectations involve: having options including the latest products and upgrades; knowing the price points and benefits of options; estimating a time to start and finish the work and then adhering to the agreement (weather permitting); and responding to my calls, questions, and concerns. Mike and his staff met my expectations. Mike met us at the property as scheduled. He went over our options and pricing. He completed a contract while on-site, we paid 30% down at that point. He indicated the job would start in 4-6 weeks depending on weather. The job began on the 7th week because of weather and was completed within a few days. Anytime I called, I received an update on scheduling. He called when the job was complete, sent a picture, and I paid over the phone. I could not be happier! This small house is under complete renovation. The roofing and Weather Tamer are the ONLY part that has gone as planned and according to schedule. If other contractors were as professional and reliable, my experience with North Carolina Mountain area would be a lot better. The city inspector was very complimentary and said the roofers really knew their business. They put in extras that were needed to address high wind conditions. The inspector was surprised and very pleased. I did not compare prices, so I can not speak to whether the price is high, low, or average. I will say that you might find someone at less cost, but you might not get the product quality or service either. I feel that I received a good quality product at a reasonable price and in a reasonable time frame. In the North Carolina Mountain area, you can't ask for much more and it feels like a miracle when it happens!

Windows and installation went great. Quality installation and workers did excellent clean up. Only negative was work was performed 2-3 weeks after promised date.

Weather Tamer supplied a very competitive price, then the two installers arrived with the materials needed for the entire job loaded on a utility trailer, which was used to remove all scrap materials when the job was completed. They arrived promptly each morning and proceeded to work together in an efficient and professional manner, taking care on all details to make each part of the installation exceed our expectations. We are very pleased with the results and would use them again.

The installer did sloppy work and after that we couldn't get a hold of the owner to tell him about the quality of the work they performed. We spent about $6000.

The work went very well, Mike Howerton did everything he said he would do and more. His crew cleaned up after their mess and was vey helpful during the installation. When we had questions the crew leader kept us informed. Mike is a very helpful and honest business professional and there were no surprises. I will call Mike and the Weather Tamers crew anytime I have a need for his services.

They cleaned up everything. They left nothing. You couldn't tell that anything had been done except my new roof. No debris or anything was left around the house or anything. We went with them because of the price and the discount they give you. I would recommend them to anybody.

My situation was out of their scope of business. However they were timely, polite and very professional.

EVERYTHING WAS DONE VERY PROFESSIONAL FROM START TO FINISH. FROM THE INITIAL VISIT TO MEASURE TO THE LAST WINDOW INSTALLED THE WORK AND THE WORKERS ARE AWESOME. THERE WERE COUPLE SCREENS DAMAGED IN SHIPMENT BUT THAT WAS NOTED AND TAKEN CARE OF. THE INSTALLER WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND WAS SURE ALL WINDOWS WERE INSTALLED CORRECTLY AND HAD SUFFICIENT INSULATION INSTALLED AROUND THEM. I WAS PERSONALLY THERE TO WATCH THE INSTALLATION AND WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE WAY THE INSTALLER TOOK HIS TIME AND DID IT RIGHT. I WOULD WITHOUT HESITATION RECOMMEND THIS SUPPLIER AND THE INSTALLER TO ANYONE WHO WANTS A JOB DONE AND DONE RIGHT. ALL MEMBERS OF OUR CONGREGATION VERY PLEASED WITH NEW WINDOWS AND THE CLEAN UP OF THE PROPERTY.

These people were worth waiting for. They did everything they said they would, were courteous, helpful, punctual and cleaned up. I will use them again and recommend them highly.

Arrived and began the tear off of the old roof. Installation was a 3 day job. because their supplier shorted them on 2 or 3 metal panes. That necessitated a return visit on the 3rd day to finish up. Clean up was thorough and the roof looks good. I originally selected this provider because he had good ratings on Angie's list.

Mike was great. From first contact very professional. On time to all our appointments. Explained damage found on roof and how it would be repaired. Even took pictures for us. Was patient while we decided between going with a traditional shingle roof vs. a metal one. The crew was professional and friendly. Cleaned up after job so well that we only found a few roofing nails around the property. We would use them again.

I am so pleased with the work that WeatherTamers did. Mike was very professional as were his crew leader and crew members. They came when they said they would, and completed the job (it's a very small house) in one day, and cleaned up entirely. I got three estimates prior to deciding who to use, and WeatherTamers were the lowest. I choose them not only because of price but because of so many positive reviews and because after talking with Mike I knew I was in good hands.

Mike was great to deal with from the very beginning. He was punctual for the measurement/job quoting, and brought several samples for us to look at. He measured each window, and offered some ideas on repairs on the wood exterior of the house since he had the same problem in the past on his own home. He did a great job of explaining our options, and led us down the path that we needed to go. It took several weeks for the special order windows to arrive, but Mike had a team out to install them on Tuesday, 9/3 promptly at 8:30am. A team of 4 had the old windows out and the new ones in (aprx. 18 toatl) with everything completely cleaned up spic a nd span by 5:30 that evening! These were large, fairly heavy windows and we were worried it would be very messy, but the crew did a fantastic job of keeping things cleaned up as they went. There was nice lady that was on the crew and she spent the later part of the afternoon wiping down the frames and cleaning the windows. The men on the crew caulked very well, and all window treatments that would've been in the way were gently removed by the crew and then reinstalled at the end of the day. We were very satisfied overall, and would give this company a 10/10 overall score. It was a great experience, and we (and several of our neighbors) will definitely use them in the future. The man from Weather Tamer Home Improvements came across very nice but they were a little bit on the higher end of pricing so we didn't use them. They didn't offend me and they were okay as far as giving me an estimate.

Professional - did great work. Would definitely recommend.
