He gave us options on what he could do for us as far as tree removal and allowed us to decide based on our budget. He provided us with excellent references and also his history with service to the homes that surround ours. He knew the people who had lived on our street very well and has taken care of their trees and shrubs for years, and that gave us confidence that he would take good care of our property. We can barely tell where the trees stood! His crew was courteous and worked meticulously and safely. Our property was left in very good shape. He would not accept payment for his services until after completion and assurance that we were satisfied with his performance.

I recently purchased my first home with my wife. Within 24 hours, we had bad storms that damaged three beautiful trees on our property. In addition to moving into our new home, my wife and I were planning a vacation within 2 weeks and needed the trees removed as soon as possible to install a privacy fence for our dogs before vacation. I contacted Jim around 9:00 PM the night of the damage and he answered immediately! I was very impressed with him doing so at such an hour. I talked with Jim quite a bit on the first call. I told him the situation, gave him details, and he told me what he thought of the situation. I can honestly say during that first conversation that he seemed like a really down to earth and standup guy. He visited the property, provided an estimate, a timeframe when it could be completed (all the while being concerned for my busy schedule I had planned as noted above), and he stuck to his word. Jim stayed in constant contact with me until the job was completed. For the work, Jim and his crew were 100% professionals. My trees were near my property line of my neighbor and I requested that they not go onto his property if possible. They adhered to everything that I asked with no questions asked. All 3 of the trees were removed and hauled away. They cleaned up each area that the trees were located and made the ground nice, even, and clear of debris. They also provided paperwork for the job to make sure everything was the way it needed to be. Before my tree issue and searching Angie's List, I had never spoken with Jim, met him, or knew anything about him, but at the end of it all I felt like I had a new friend and leaned on his advice for projects on my property. He is a standup guy and good businessman. If you choose his services, you will not regret it --- I promise.

We had a couple of weather delays but I received emails and text messages keeping me informed. When the work was done, they did a nice clean job - stumps gone.

Cannot say enough about how great this company is. Polite, timely, helpful-this company is top notch. I highly recommend them to anyone else. I have used several bad companies before, but this company was standout.

He was prompt, I did not have to wait long for him to provide the service. All stumps were ground to my satisfaction. He didn't leave until I had inspected the work performed and I expressed my happiness with it all. I would definitely recommend The Tree Trimmer for their services. When I cut down a few more trees on my property, I will definitely have them back to grind those stumps too.

Jim and his staff were courteous and worked hard. They were fast and did the work as promised. Cleaned up everything after they left and looked like they were never there. Would use these guys again in a heartbeat.

Within 3 weeks (delayed due to weather) his crew arrived and they did a fantastic job and completely cleaned up the job site when completed. The driveway was cleaner than when we started. They did not leave until we did our final walk thru to make sure that everything met our expectations. Jim was on hand to supervise the job from start to finish. Thanks to his recommendations and improvements (he cleared a path to allow cars to reach the back yard). The yard is now more open and we even get a breeze through our yard. I would definitely use The Tree Trimmer again, but they did such a great job it may not be for many years.

It went great! When Jim came out to give the estimate, he also noticed another tree that we had not planned on cutting down that was actually split over half way down the tree! This was a huge tree and would have taken down over half of our fence if it had fallen! So, we had him add this tree to the estimate he was giving us. This man was more concerned about us and about the safety of our home than making money. I felt he was very, very fair with us and when all was said and done, more than fair with us. He not only did the work for which he had given the estimate, but also did a couple of little things we had forgotten to ask him about for no extra money! Plus, his crew also stopped all their hard work to let us close the gates and they went into the front yard long enough for us to let the puppies outside since they had been inside for awhile and couldn't go into the yard with all the work being done!! They were so kind and the puppies sure were grateful!! His crew was very polite, friendly and not one branch was left on our lawn when they were finished! Plus, on top of all of this, you get a 10% discount if you call him from here on Angie's list!! I would recommend this man and his crew to anyone that wants an honest, hardworking and fair man to work with!! We will be calling on Jim for any future tree needs we have.....we were truly blessed to have found him and his crew!

It went very well. All parts of our agreement were carried out to my satisfaction. All the work was done safely -- personnal and property. All the men were courteous. They were quiet with no radios or yelling. Important to me, the boss talked with my neighbor since he had to be on his property for a while. This is my longest review.

This was the first time we had contracted "THE TREE TRIMMER". After receiving damage to a steel clothesline from a previous tree removal contractor, who just cut the limbs and let them fall to the ground, we looked for someone more reputable, which led us to stop at The Tree Trimmer's office with the eye catching sign beside the highway. He was available right then to come give us an estimate and we made an appointment to cut the tree. They arrived at the appointed time, cut the tree, removed all wood not suitable for firewood (which we kept), left the jobsite manicured and were off our property in what seemed to be record time. We had Jim give us advice about our huge Bradford pear tree which had grown too big and too close to our house. Upon inspection, he found rotted places where the limbs grew out from the trunk and ants living in the tree, and recommended cutting the tree rather than trimming it. We trusted his judgment and made an appointment to have it cut. Jim worked several other jobs in the neighborhood after neighbors inquired about his work on our property. We were favorably impressed with how well the team worked together, seemingly with minimal instructions.

The Tree Trimmer and his team were diligent and courteous the whole way through the service. They were able to finish the job in a reasonable amount of time despite heavy winds and some rain that hampered the efforts. Not only did they do a great job with the removal, but they were informative as well. One thing that The Tree Trimmer helped us do was to slow down and evaluate the choices we were making and provided insight into those decisions. Rememeber that you are hiring a professional to do a service. You need to know generally what you want, but you should be open to suggestions and ideas about how to approach your tree trimming and removal. Do some research. It will pay great dividends.

Without a doubt the best tree service available. They quoted me half what I expected to pay: $1,625 to remove nine trees, two of which were 60 footers, and also remove those stumps and three others. They showed up on time, got right to it, and stayed at it until done. They thoroughly cleaned the yard when finished and at every step, consulted with me about where to put wood, how to access various trees, etc. Just a very professional job and at a price I couldn't believe. They have my highest recommendation.

The watermelon on a hot, sunny day was welcomed by the workers and was well deserved. For after Jim answered my call and gave me a fair estimate, he and they arrived with all their equipment and went quickly to their appointed tasks. In less than four hours they had completed what had been promised, leaving behind a much better looking landscape. Again, as in the past, I found Jim to be a man of his word, knowledgeable and to the point. His creed, learned from his father, is that you do your best and then some. His goal is to be sure the customer is satisfied and happy with the work. On that foundation his reputation rests and precedes him. I have recommended Jim to both neighbors and family who are likewise happy with the results.

The service was timely, efficient and well-done. You could not even tell they were here because the clean up was so good. I will definitely use this service provider again.

Very professional, kind, and punctual which most people don't find important anymore.

We cannot sing enough praises for these folks. I conacted Jim through Angies list about taking down several trees that were blocking sun from our pool and also about removing the stumps. He came out and assesed the job and gave us an absolutely amazing quote..1/2 the price of at least 3 other quotes we received. Four men arrived at our home at about 1030 am on May 7. They worked and worked and worked, never stopping for more than a drink of water until until they finished the job at a little after 900pm. We have had several different jobs done at our home over the years and this is the first time we have witnessed such a great work ethic. Scott and the crew were beyond professional, skilled to the point of making the work look easy, and they left our place looking 150% better than when they arrived. On top of all of that....everyone of the guys was as sweet as could be. We will definately not obtain services from any other tree service again. IT WILL BE THE TREE TRIMMER or Noone at our home. THANK YOU JIM, SCOTT AND CREW FOR YOU'RE HARD WORK AND FOR BEING GOOD FOLKS!!

Jim is extremely kind and patient and pleasant to work with from the very first phone call to the waving of good-bye while driving off our driveway. He makes you feel that you are a family friend of his. He did a wonderful job with our trees. They looked tired and overgrown when we bought the house. Now they look like as if they belonged to a million-dollar mansion! He cleaned up every inch of his worksite and proudly showed us the goodies left by previous house owners that he found. He had such a big smile when showing them to us and we had a great time studying them together. Our impression is that Jim cares a lot about his work and his clients. He would do everything to help his clients and make his clients happy. Even after getting his payment, he wouldn't just pack up and leave like other contractors do. He would give you free advices and suggestions on how to maintain the rest of your plants and trees. Money definitely is not his number 1 goal. However, he is worthy of every dollar paid. We will definitely go back to him again.

My husband and I and our neighbor are very pleased with the work that the Tree Trimmer men performed at our residence. We were impressed with the safety these men used in protecting their lives as well as the life of their coworkers. We had full confidence in their technique and the equipment they used to perform the work. Their job performance was excellent! We would gladly hire them in the future with any trees that may get in our way.

Safety was the No. 1 issue. It ended up being a three-day job because The Tree Trimmer had to hire a second bucket truck that had a higher range than the one they used on the first day. They did a very nice job of keeping the limbs away from the houses and buildings in the neighborhood, and it wasn't easy. The job had to be approached in a professional manner, and I can't say enough about how professionally everything was done. The limbs were tied down with ropes to minimize the danger to all concerned when they were cut loose from the tree. The cost was less than half of what some companies wanted to charge and that included cutting the wood into pieces for firewood and hauling away the brush. And even though it ended up being a bigger job than expected and they incurred unforeseen expenses along the way, they still charged me their original estimate. I appreciated that.

He arrived about an hour and a half after I called and gave me an estimate. We worked out a great deal. He was going to try to schedule it in the next few days. When he realized I had no TV service at the time, he said he would squeeze me in that same day. I had been a week without complete TV service so I was very happy. When I got home from work the tree was trimmed. It was very neatly done and very even. No mess anywhere. He was a very personable guy and eager to do business and to please. I would definitely use him again. This was one of those business transactions that leaves you feeling like there are still companies out there that aren't just about making money but also giving good customer service and genuine concern for customers.

I was very stressed out about getting my trees removed. The tress were a mix of white pines and wild cherries. They provided good shade for part of my house in the summer but the cherries had been damaged in a summer storm some time back that also took out parts of the pines. The pines looked really bad from the damage and were deteriorating and in a position to fall on my house. I was stressed because the trees really needed to come out but I hated the thought of dealing with a landscape contractor (I've had bad experiences in the past). Also, the trees are in a very tight spot so the job would require experience, skill and finesse and I wasn't sure how to judge to tell if someone would be able to do the job right. I called several people for estimates - two never showed and one drove up in front of the house, saw the trees and just drove off. I joined Angie's List to find someone to do the job. After reading several reviews I decided to call Jim, The Tree Trimmer, based on the reviews that I read. It was a rainy day when I called so Jim came by within a couple of hours and gave me an estimate. His price was in line with what I expected based on the work. Based on our conversation I felt he had the experience, skill and proper equipment to do the job so I called him back the next morning to schedule the job. Jim and his crew showed up yesterday morning to start the job. They worked until late in the evening yesterday then came back this morning and worked all day today. They did an absolutely INCREDIBLE job. They stripped the trees and felled them in just the right spot to not damage anything surrounding. They moved their equipment cautiously around the yard so as not to do any damage to the turf. The adjoining property owner had some stumps to remove and a couple of trees to take down so Jim worked out with him to do that work in exchange for taking some of the more difficult to access trees down across his land. Once they had the trees down they chopped them up and hauled all the brush and trunks away. They cleaned up all the assorted limbs and things and left the area looking tidy. I could not be more pleased with the work this crew did. They really went above and beyond to do a good job. Jim and his team didn't cut corners and they didn't leave it at an 80 or 90% job. Jim is very personable and his team are very professional and respectful. After watching them for two days I can tell that it's not just about work or a pay check for these guys. It was very clear to me that they have a craft that they are proud of and they work hard to make sure that the job is done right. I have a few more trees that will need some work later in the season and there is no way I'll consider anyone other than Jim and his team to do it. Also, now that my trees are gone I have a large area that needs some landscape work so I'm sure I'll have him back over the next couple of years helping me get that into shape. Again, I could not be more impressed or pleased with the job The Tree Trimmer has done. Professional, courteous, hard working, skilled, experienced, and have all the right equipment for the work they do. They are THE TEAM in the tri-cities for tree work. Thanks, Jim!
