It went great, best price I found in a year search. Prompted quick service, all were very professional. They cleaned up afterwards and my yard looked better than before they got there, much appreciated!

Jim, the owner was VERY PROFESSIONAL and responsive to my calls and questions. In fact, he took a lot of time to explain to me (sometimes twice because I can be forgetful) what was going on with my trees and how best to treat them. He made suggestions on how to manage my yard and some ailing trees. He took a lot of time with me which I appreciated. His crew came out on time and completed the work within the day. He gave me a discount because I was with Angie's List. They removed 2 trees and ground up the stump and filled in the hole. They removed a bush with the roots and cut trees off from hanging on a building next door. They pruned the other trees. My yard looks wonderful and refreshed! I will definitely hire them again this summer for more work and I recommend them to anyone! GREAT JOB!!

And Ralph the tree climber ascends trees quicker, safer and is willing to go alot further up then any other Tree Climber in this area. Well, There are only good things to say about Jim and his crew at Tree Trimmer...these guys are the ones to go to if you need tree work done in the eastern, TN area. They have one of the best tree climbers around and they were fast and most importantly safe. There prices are 100% more than reasonable and fair for the wonderful quality of work they do.

Jim was very professional every step of the way. He answered the phone when I first called him for an estimate where some others I had to leave a message and wait for a call back (if I got one). He arrived right on time and gave me a fair estimate. He wasn't the cheapest but I liked what the reviews said about him and his service. He held true to his word when he stated that he would treat my house/property as though it were his own which is one of the number one attributes I look for in a contractor. To my surprise, he arrived on the day he said he would (we did have some rain which he said may delay him a day or two). All of the work was completed by the time I got home from work including removing a small dead tree I had in my yard that was not in the original estimate (Thank you Jim!). He blew my expectations away with how he was able to shape and salvage such large/overgrown Bradford pear trees. I have no doubt they will flourish with the new look. One more important item to note is the amazing clean-up job they did. Other than trees being trimmed, there is absolutely no evidence that tree work was ever done. Everything was cleaned up including the few leaves that had fallen prior to their arrival. Bottom line is that I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again for my future tree needs. They did a GREAT JOB and its no wonder they're the highest/most rated tree service on the list.

Got an estimate on Friday evening and they were here Tuesday. I was very pleased with their work and the clean-up. They even cleaned up debris that drifted into my neighbors yard across the street. The price was excellent and I liked that I was asked to inspect the work before being asked to pay! Great service!

I highly recommend The Tree Trimmer for all tree services. On August 18th I called The Tree Trimmer to get an estimate to cut down four trees, remove three tree stumps, trim one tree, and to remove some shrubs in my front yard. Jim, the owner, came out to my house on the same day to evaluate the request and give me an estimate. I feel that the estimate was very reasonable and he adjusted the total to honor the 10% discount promoted on Angie?s List. We scheduled the appointment for the following week. Before he came out to my house, I signed an invoice that listed the work that he was going to do and he provided me a copy of his insurance by email. This was a nice peace of mind so I know that any accidents that could possibly occur would be covered. On the morning of August 27th, Jim and his crew started working on the project. The job included cutting down a Sycamore tree that was approximately 100-120 feet tall, three dead trees that were approximately 50-60 feet tall, side trimming a tree next to my deck, and removing shrubs in my front yard. The original estimated time of completion was two days; however, the crew completed all of the requested work by 9pm the same day, except for grinding one of the stumps. Jim and Scott returned the next morning to complete the project and all of the treated areas were cleaned up as best as possible. Jim was very professional throughout the entire process. I received answers to all of my questions in a timely manner and he left me no reason to have to second guess his expertise. While it can be common to find contractors in our area who are either not qualified for the job or are over-priced, The Tree Trimmer is the exception. They provide excellent service for a reasonable price. I would definitely contact The Tree Trimmer again for all tree service needs.

If you are trying to hire an expert tree man that has a professional crew and quotes a fair price look no further than The Tree Trimmer. When nearby tornadoes broke many trees on our street there were literally several tree "experts" coming to my house offering quotes. The first quote was $5000.00 just to remove the broken limb! Another person told me we would have to bring a crane in to get the limb out. I knew some of these people were trying to take advantage of the storm situation so I began a search for a qualified professional. I had never hired a tree removal service before so I joined Angie's list to help find a professional and an honest service. And I am so glad that I did! I saw that Jim the Tree Trimmer had many positive reviews and gave him a call. He came out the next day as scheduled and studied the job carefully. I called him twice and the phone was answered each time. He gave me a quote and I hired him to come out the next day and do the job. He had other jobs but he put mine up in the queue because there was danger that the limb might break off and damage the house. He was there with his crew as scheduled. Watching Jim and his crew take out this limb and tree was quite remarkable! My house was close to the tree as well as a shed. His crew knew exactly how to maneuver the ropes to gently lower this huge limb to the ground without damaging nearby property. Please look at the pictures but it is hard to imagine what they did without being there. Jim and his crew surgically removed the huge limb and tree with no damage to my property! By the way, he showed me his insurance certificate which is very important in hiring a company like this. Some of the people that showed up did not likely have an insurance policy and any damage done taking the tree out would be left to the home owner. I have already told several people about the Tree Trimmer and I already have another job for him to do. I couldn't be more satisfied with Jim and The Tree Trimmer Company.

The Tree Trimmer is the pinacle of professionalism. A friend referred The Tree Trimmer to me and also checked the tree trimming businesses out on Angie's list. After seeing the great reviews I called and the owner. He came the next day to give a free estimate for some trees that needed trimming. The Tree Trimmer carefully looked at all my landscaping. One humongous Sycamore was in dire need of a hair cut. This tree shades a large in ground swimming pool. Moreover, exterior painters were working on my home. Gave me an estimate and said anytime was convenient even with all the other things going on. Just to call him back when it was good for me. I am an avid tree,schrub,plant lover and was so concerned about my Blue Spruce that I called him back. All this work in close proximity. Several other trees also needed pruning and one removed. He came back again and we looked everything over. When I asked about payment he said, "I do not take any money until the job is finished to my customers satisfaction." Also warned me about people that ask for so much up front etc. I have been through some nightmare stories. The last tree company almost killed my tree, damaged my concrete pool apron by dropping huge limbs on it and severly damaged four of my very sentimental landscaping trees around the pool area, and left large holes in my lawn from limbs being dropped (ones they promised they would lower by ropes). I could not get rid of them fast enough. As I am a cancer survivor with multiple surgeries and a very trusting spirit I have been burned a number of times. Thus, I can legitimately say this company is magnificient! He brought his equipment (EVERYTHING) none of this "oh I forgot this...would you happen to...". His team came over introduced themselves and got right to work. I never saw them rest or even take lunch for a moment. Although I would ask them if they needed anything. They went wayyy beyond what I had asked. Not one leat fell in the pool. Not one limb dropped. And when accidentally a very small piece of concrete apron came up when clearing the enormous amount of limbs the worker came up immediately and showed Jim and me. It was not a big deal at all. But they would not leave until that was replaced and painted with pool paint. Even with all the extras THE TREE TRIMMER Team would not accept a penny more than the original price quote. Everything cleaned immaculately including any leaves that fell into neighbors yard. Absolute perfection! There are not enough positive adjectives to describe The Tree Trimmer and his team. I know that I will be having them back again and telling all my friends who call when they need a professional, knowledgeable,caring company. RARELY do you find a business this exemplary in this day. ACCOLADES!! Certainly restores your faith in the old fashioned work ethic. Definitely will do a POH! TY Angie's List and TY Jim the Tree Trimmer and his team!

A large pine tree with a four-foot diameter trunk was broken off at near ground level by storm winds. It proved to be partially rotten with ample evidence of termite infestation, too. The Tree Trimmer quoted us a very fair price to remove and dispose of it, and to grind down the remains of the trunk to ground level, and was able to do the job within a day or two. He ans his crew completed the job within a day, including cleanup of all wood chips and fragments. We were very satisfied with the results!

Ok I originally gave this business an F for not calling when they said they would. You can read the owners response to my earlier review. On June 9th Jim came out and gave me a fair estimate. They returned on the 10th and completed the work. His crew are hard workers and did a professional job. I can say that I would use them again.

I was impressed with the professionalism of the crew. The owner Jim was very responsive to my calls/texts and the crew showed up on time to work, and were very respectful of the property. Even in removing a large tree, they left the premises cleaner than when they arrived! The estimate was spot on (I had 3, but was willing to pay a bit more based on their reputation) and the work was completed as requested. I will hire them in the future for landscaping needs.
