Gosh, can't say enough great things about Lane Thompson. Wish there was an A+ option in the Ratings section as all of my expectations were significantly exceeded! This is the company you want working on your house...reliable, knowledgable, friendly, punctual, fair, honest, and trustworthy, all with a laser focus on providing quality service. They took the time to assess our problem, walk through possible options, and to then ensure everything was up-and-running in a timely manner. If only all providers took such an approach! Was having a problem with my gas furnace not starting at times. Franklin Lane was prompt in taking my call, coming to diagnose the problem, ordering the part, and replacing it. I should note that this was after another company incorrectly diagnosed the problem which would have cost me several hundred dollars. Fortunately this other company's diagnosis did not sound correct for the problem my furnace was having, leading me to call Mr. Lane. He correctly diagnosed the problem as the electrical panel board, and after replacing it, it has run trouble free. I would highly recommend him in the future to anyone having problems with their heating unit and plan to call him anytime in the future if having heating or cooling problems.

We had our furnace inspected by another company earlier this year. We were told the upstairs ac/furnace unit had a leak and would probably need to be replaced. They gave us an estimate. It seemed a little high, so I decided to get a few more estimates. Lane Thompson was one of the other companies I had come out. They were significantly lower than the others, for pretty much the same thing. They install Trane, which is one of the best, according to my father-in-law who used to be a heating and air contractor. We signed a contract and set up an install date. From start to finish Lane Thompson were professional and prompt. I was informed about every step of the work, and they were finished within a few days. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for any work I need done.

Technician was professional and personable. Called before arriving and asked if early was ok with me. Arrived ready to work. Thorough check of HVAC to include carbon monoxide check. Found capacitor out of spec and changed our for reasonable cost. Very pleased with service.

I called and made an appointment to talk to Frank about getting a new unit. He came to my house (on time) for the appointment. He was very helpful in helping me decide on what kind of system would be best for my house and meet our needs. He didn't try to sell me the most expensive system and was very polite to talk to. He gave me 3 estimates on 3 different kind of units he had and help me decide which one would meet our needs. I told him I was getting other estimates before I made my decision and he was very nice and said to give him a call if I decided to use them. When I called back several months later he came back to my house (on time again) and we setup a time for his crew to install a new unit. They called before they came and showed up (on time) to install the new unit. They were very professional and did a great job installing my new system. They cleaned up well when they were finished with the job and asked if I had any questions for them. The job took 2-1/2 days to complete and they were (on time) every day. I would recommend them if you had any issues with your heating or cooling system.

In the heat of July, we had one AC unit on a 22 year old HVAC system finally give up the ghost and decided that rather than deal with a cascade of piecemeal failures over the next couple of years, we'd just swallow hard and upgrade the entire system of two air conditioners and two gas furnaces. Facing what we knew would no doubt be a four-figure expense, we wanted to get a number of recommendations and estimates from which to make our choice. We actually found Lane Thompson on Angie's List and were surprised that we'd not heard of someone with such a high rating based on so many reviews (WAY more than anyone else in his local category). What we found is that Angie's List should consider adding an A+ rating option for folks like Franklin Lane and his team. During our decision process, Franklin was very quick with answers to questions (meaning he knows his products) and very patient with the multiple inquiries which my wife made about the details and options represented in his bid. Let's just say that some of his competition didn't do quite so well - on either count. He wasn't the lowest estimate (though he was close), and he wasn't anywhere near the highest. Once we made our choice, the installation crew was an absolute pleasure to be around. They were courteous, kept everything very clean, and were almost a little protective when the cable guy had to come around for a service call. When one of the furnace units came from the warehouse with some dents from the shipping company, they quickly pointed it out to us so that we could have the choice of refusing the unit or accepting it and receiving a damage credit (we refused it). As the damage was primarily on the back and the bottom of the unit, It would have been quite easy for them to go ahead an install it as it'd never have been seen, and they could have more quickly moved on to the next job. They didn't. As the delay pushed them to having to finish the entire installation on a Monday instead of the projected Friday, they worked exceptionally h****** that Friday to get the 2nd (downstairs) AC unit up and running so that we wouldn't have to run the temporary window AC units over the weekend. Oh, did I mention that those temporary window units were loaners which they provided for us to use free of charge? If you're in search of a little piece of mind before you make a REALLY big investment in your home, I'd tell you that you can look around (likely for a while) and you MIGHT find someone with craftsmanship, attention to detail, and character on a par with the folks at Lane Thompson, but I'll guarantee you that you won't find anyone better.

It's been two months and air conditioners are still running fine. I would use them again.

On first call to business, I had to leave a message but someone called back pretty quickly. Technicians were professional and courteous. My unit was a disaster due to age and previous tenant had rigged up wiring haphazardly. The first tech was unsure and so a second one came. He recommended the unit be replaced but agreed to try to fix it although he was unsure how long it would last if he could fix it. In the end he was able to repair it because I told him I was not going to replace it due to cost. He was professional, punctual and courteous and most importantly, to me at least, he was honest. I would call this company again.

My search is finally over for a HVAC company:). Lane serviced both our AC units. He was very professional, used shoe covers to protect our carpet and took the time to inform me of any issues with our units. It was obvious that he is very educated and experienced in his field. I will be using this company for our future preventative maintenance AND for installing new units when that time comes. Give them a try. You want regret it!

Very well. Tina called before arriving because she had finished a previous service early. She was very nice, knowledgeable, clean and efficient. Very impressed with her work. Will use for future checkups.

When I called I spoke to Frank Lane and set up an appointment for him to come to my house to review my needs. Frank came promptly on time on the arraigned day. I told him what I was looking for and requested 2 bids; one for budget system and than one for an upgraded system based on the house requirements. Frank was very professional in his approach; measured the entire inside of the house, reviewed the existing outside house condition, and checked out the heating and cooling system which was in use. When he was finished he worked up the 2 quotes as requested and sat down with me to review the contents of each price in its entirety. He gave the pro and cons for each system and never pressured me to buy a more expensive system. When we were finished, I told him that had 2 others quotes and that I needed a couple of days to review all of the information before I made a decision and picked a company to do the work. He was very cordial and thanked me for the opportunity. A few days later I called and told him that I would like his company to do the work. Frank stopped by, we finalized the details and he told me up front that would be 2 weeks before he could start the project because of existing workload. I said that was fine, we set a start date and he promised to call a few days before to confirm the beginning of the job. Like clock work, Frank called a few days before and said they would be ready to go on the date we agreed on. Frank and his entire crew showed up on time and before starting he introduced to each person who would be working on the job. The work was completed in a professional and competent manner within 2 days. During this time, his crew also checked out my other heat pump system and found out that the fan had come off and damaged one of the blades, That blade was replaced and they made sure that the unit worked properly. When I asked for the cost, Frank said that there would be no additional charge. This is a First Class Company, professional in every way and I would highly recommend them for any heating and cooling project.

Mr. Lane came out at our request and looked over our system and gave us a quote for replacing it. We are more familiar with gas furnaces and separate air conditioners, plus the heat pump was old and expensive to run. He stuck to the quote, and even gave us his coupon discount. He came out each morning to direct and inspect the work, and his employees were punctual, courteous, and answered all my questions thoroughly. They didn't try to sell me additional services or equipment.

Excellent service. We were quoted $65 for a minimum 1hr non-emergency visit. Their technician gave a courtesy call prior to scheduled time and arrived promptly on time. It was quickly determined that the compressor was not starting, but was fully energized. The start capacitor tested OK, voltage draw was normal, and all pressures were good. The tech suspected an aging compressor, and attached an inline RapidStart device to assist the compressor on start-up. The RapidStart device resolved the issue and now the air conditioner works perfectly. The tech also confirmed a temperature drop of 20 degrees. I assumed the system needed a new compressor ,the hard-start / no-start issue began at the end of last summer for a few weeks and finally quit in late September. I put off getting help, not wanting to deal will It. Boy was I wrong! Lane Thompson could have easily convinced me to purchase a new compressor, but instead I received excellent service In the end the total was $230. I feel the price is a bit high, but "you get what you pay for" and we have a great running AC unit and peace of mind that unit will last for more years to come.

When I asked questions, I received answers that I actually understood. Explained why a part needed to be replaced and quick in repair. I felt the service call was well worth my time and effort.

Main office answered the phone when I called. I had a follow-up call from a technician 10 minute later who was at my house 20 minutes after than. She diagnosed the problem in about 15 minutes, drove across town to get parts, and was back and had us running about an hour later. From phone call to repair was less than three hours. The markup on the parts and labor (as near as I can tell by looking online) was a smidge high but -- I was glad to pay the price for such great service and quick turnaround. They'll be my first call next time.

Couldn't get the new thermostat programmed. I called Lane and they originally said they would be out the next day. THey call back later and were there in the afternoon. THe checked fuses, programmed the thermostat and checked the heat pump and them found a bad fuse in the furnace. THey replaced that and everything is working correctly. They were everything I could have asked for!

Response within an hour of my call, eliminated less expensive repairs first, and then discovered true problem which pleased my sense of proper approach. New motor was picked up quickly and installed well--even fixed vibration noise we thought was inherent. Price seemed reasonable and we're happy to have a warm house on coldest day of year.

Owner of company came out to service my heat pump probably because one service tech was on vacation . He was very knowledgeable , took care of problem with heat pump and also corrected one problem I had with my touchpad thermostat .
