Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair

Morgan was the Service Tech and did a great job. He called 15-20min before arrival to let me know he was on his way. Morgan was professional, courteous and completed the annual check within the expected time.

Work was done quickly and professionally. Gumaro and his team were very kind, informative, and professional. We were very pleased with the end result.

Morgan and Donald came to perform the annual service on the Waterguard system in our basement. Both were very pleasant and professional, taking the time to explain what they did and why. They also delivered and installed a SaniDry basement dehumidifier. I was apprehensive about spending big bucks on a dehumidifier but it seems well-constructed and has a 30 month warranty. I got tired of replacing our dehumidifier every few years when it conked out. The SaniDry XP has already brought the humidity down to an acceptable level and is energy star rated to use less energy than a 70 pint unit. Morgan explained that he is currently training Donald as a technician. Morgan is a good teacher and it's obvious that Donald will make a fine technician. I am very satisfied with Frontier and will be happy to see either Morgan or Donald next year!

Mitchell was prompt and very professional. After looking in the crawl space and all around the house he showed me exactly where the problem was. It wasn't the crawl space at all, it was the gutters. One area wasn't draining, and another area had broken off and was funneling water right into the basement. They didn't get any business from me because nothing was needed, but they did the right thing. I would absolutely recommend them; it is rare to find such integrity! PS - make sure you ask for Mitchell!

Worked with two separate crews, one in basement and one for patio. Both were very nice and cleaned up afterwards. Brandon R. was the foreman for the basement crew; Marcus S. did the patio and Jesus B. was the production manager for the whole project; David L. was the sales representative. I felt that this company was the most knowledgeable of the three foundation companies that I received quotes from and they had the best warranties. It was a big project and I felt they were helpful in helping me determine how best to get the job done in a way that would stabilized my foundation issues for the long term. Jesus did a walk through before the project began and was very thorough. I felt that I had a good understanding of what they were going to do. The basement took three days. Brandon and his crew did a professional job. The patio took two days. They were all on time each day. Jesus came back out after the basement was done to inspect the project. The patio did not lift on the first attempt so Jesus came out to evaluate the situation and we scheduled another attempt. The patio did lift after the second attempt. Marcus was a hard worker and knowledgeable and I appreciated his efforts to resolve the patio issue. I was pleased with the outcome. The company called after each part was completed to see how things went and if I was satisfied. Hopefully, my foundation issues have been resolved.

Beware of this company if you require service after the sale. 38 days ago I notified this company of the unsatisfactory condition my gravel drive was left in after work was completed on my home. All the gravel along one end of my home was displaced during their procedure and replaced with the dirt and clay excavated from under the house. Several days of rain soon turned my drive into a rutted, muddy mess. At their request, pictures of the damage along with an estimate to repair were sent to them. Dustin Gebers, my salesmen, promised he would get it resolved to my satisfaction. Shortly thereafter, phone calls to this company failed to be returned. Several e-mails to Dustin and Layne Gebers provided no response from this company with regard to addressing my issue. An e-mail to Frontier officials 10 days ago advised them of my intent to file formal complaints if this matter was not addressed by them immediately. Still, no reply from anyone at this company. After rain all day today, my driveway has become almost impassable. We have decided to contract with another company to repair the damage Frontier left us with. My advice to anyone considering using this company is to STAY AWAY from these guys! After Mr. Layne Gebers came to my home and took responsibility for his company dropping the ball in handling our complaint, we have accepted a credit from Frontier Basement Systems towards future work they are to perform. This is a satisfactory resolution for my wife and me.

Inspector, David was most professional and knowledgable of 3 companies I contacted. He me configure needed services to best fit my needs. Company told me service would take 1 day with possible finish on the following day. Foreman, Gumaro, was outstanding, prompt, polite, careful on my property, work was first class, his crew was well-behaved, kept the work site clean. They finished in 6 hours. Left no mess , Great experience for me as a home owner.

After working through two salesmen (first would not respond to calls). I thought we finally were good to go. Install date comes and I get a call they could not make it due to another project running long. Irritating because I had prepped my house already for them, things like that happen I just wish I would have gotten a call a little sooner. They ended up coming a day late and finishing in one day instead of two. Install crew was polite and courteous. They were the positive side of the process. Frontier made things right with the delays and late start.

Although it took longer than expected, the workers were friendly, respectful, and left the place clean. The work looks good, professional. They answered all of my questions and seemed very knowledgeable.

They were very professional. They give a warranty on their work. I was very pleased with them. It was great. It was a little pricey. I would use them again and I would recommend them to a friend or family member.

Project required 6 days to complete, and crew did a great job removing excess materials.

They were horrible. They didn't do it right the first time. I would give them an "F-". What happened was, in 2010, Nashville had a big flood. Even though we lived on the hill, 20 inches of rain still came down the hill and came to our basement. They made an appointment to come and couldn't make it. They had to reschedule it. It seemed like it was never ending. They were like "We can't come today, we'll come back next Friday" and missed all the appointments. They so-called fixed it and we had gone out of town in January. We came back and Nashville had a bad 4 1/2 inches of rain. It flooded our basement again. We were not happy about that. He came out again and fixed it. It was always too cold or too rainy. About three weeks later, they got it fixed but it wasn't fixed to my approval. No one came back out and asked me how I wanted it done. I would never recommend Frontier Basement Systems to anybody.

Excellent; however, there was a mismatch between the details of the installation as defined by the salesperson and the installer. All was worked out --- but you have to pay attention as to what you purchased and what was actually installed. We had no disputes -- only clarifications were necessary.

Let me start off by saying the customer service and follow-up was excellent. However, the initial install job was not what I expected. The cleanspace wall system was extremely loose and basically not functional. There was an air-handler butted up against the wall so it certainly made it difficult. Had they told me that there wasn't enough room I would have waited till I got the unit moved so they could install it properly. Overall, the entire project was sub-par and certainly not representative of the brochure they showed me showing their products and quality of work. So I took pics and sent them to Frontier. I got a call back from the sales manager Dustin the next morning, who told me it was unacceptable and that he would come out personally to fix the install. He literally came out the next day and brought it back up to a higher quality standard. He really brought this experience from a negative to a positive . He did the right thing. Thanks Dustin!

All the personnel were very professional. They started the job on time and finished quickly. They cleaned up all the mess plus took off some of mine. They sealed up everything under the house.

Again, I was very pleased. I think they were professional, knowledgable and honest.

The biggest problem I had with Frontier is getting them to quote the job. Once they made an initial inspection, it took repeated calls to get a price from them on the repairs. After talking with Lane, the owner, I got the impression this was due to the fact that they were very busy, however that was never confirmed for some reason. Frankly, I would appreciate a contractor being honest and up front in telling me they are swamped instead of avoiding replying to my emails or phone calls. Once I was able to get a price from Frontier and sign a contract, things improved markedly and they were timely about having their contractors show up and get the work done. When finished, overall the job looked great and we've had no problems since the work was completed despite a more than a few large thunderstorms.

We had made an appointment with several different basement waterproofing companies after we had some water leak into our basement for only the second time since the 2010 Nashville flood. We wanted to fix the issue so it wouldn't happen again. Water seemed to be leaking in under our windows because we could see dried water streaks running down the walls of our finished basement. Frontier was the first company to come out. The representative from Frontier came out and took a look at our problem and suggested that we put in a beautifully designed Water Guard waterproofing system that collects the water after it has seeped through your wall and then carries it to a pump and pumps it out of your house. I was skeptical because this was the only suggestion the representative made to us. I was not convinced that the water was coming through our walls because to me, visually, it looks like it was coming in under the windows somehow because there were only water streaks under the window and no other areas of the wall. If I knew that water was coming in through the walls their product might be ideal. It was a sharp looking product but I really didn't like the idea of letting the water through my walls in the first place even if it could be collected and directed away from my drywall. He could tell that I wasn't convinced so he showed me a video about how it works. During the video I saw them install drains in a house for added water drainage. I asked him about those and mentioned that we could install them outside the basement windows and tie them into the pump from the outside. Prices will be different for everyone but our quote for the pumps, the trench, and the drains was $4,855. It just seemed like a lot to spend for something that only has happened in our home twice in the past 4 years that we've lived here. If you have a basement with a lot of water seeping in through the walls this might be a good product for you nut for us it was not the right choice.

Frontier did an elaborate estimate of un-needed repairs and was going to charge me $4000 for a simple drainage issue

We were not happy with Frontier Basement Systems. It was like the product was misrepresented. The workers who came out rushed the job and the flood ring that was installed was not sealed underneath, so when our hot-water heater leaked just a week later it flooded the basement.

Most of the work was done ok, but the flooring was horrible, did not fit correctly, popped up within 3 days of installation. Had a difficult time getting Owner out to review case, and turned out to be a hassle, in the end he ripped out the floor and refused to give all my money back for flooring, had to have lawyer step in and handle case, and was eventually reimbursed in July , was out of pocket around $285 but it was not about the money, so much of the inconvenience of not being able to use my basement for 4 months, and the fact that this company had five stars across the board before I started. Since my problem have now learned from others of inconsistences and disgruntled folks.

I didn't need foundation repair but found the visit from Frontier to be very helpful in figuring out how to deal with my problem. The representative knew from the beginning that this wasn't going to be a job for him, but took the time to look at all the angles and make some helpful suggestions. If I do need foundation work, I will call them back. The lower grade on responsiveness was because it took 3 phone calls to confirm the appointment.

They waterproofed my basement and my crawlspace. They sealed off my crawlspace completely and they came back each year to check up on the work. When they came out they were able to beat or match other estimates I had already received. They went under the house for at least an hour and took pictures of the crawlspace, which I had never seen. He showed me my water line which was very high!!! I had mold, standing water, and all types of problems. These guys came out and did a great job, and definitely helped me save money.

Work was done professionally, quickly, and with little mess. Frontier cleaned out the basement and tested the system. They came back to check on it and called several times to see if we were satisfied. Overall a great experience. We are very happy with this service. We should have done it years ago.
