Description of Work: We have used Ace Exterminating for our termite inspection when we bought our home a year ago and for our current monthly pest service, which is $99 a quarter. One of the things I like is that the same gentleman comes to our home every time to do our work. He is polite and professional and I feel safe having him come on in around myself (mom) and my children. He has a young family himself and I have gotten to know him a little bit. We live in Brentwood, but in the more rural part of Williamson County. So, we do see alot of bugs and they are almost always dead. We have called back one time I believe that we were seeing several live bugs and they were able to come out again within the week and spray for no additional cost. I have been very pleased with the service and personnel so we will continue to use them. And, seeing dead bugs outside, instead of inside my house indicates it is working. He has even worked around my kids and their nap schedule and asked us about using kid-friendly products. They also indicated some repairs necessary on our home with the termite inspection and we were able to have the Seller repair them. The Seller had used another company in town to repair and they were not done correctly. So, again, kudos to Ace!

+ -1 moreWhile the guy who came to the house was professional and knowledgeable I chose to drop this company for one main reason: The poison they spray, unlike those from other companies I've used in the past, left a VISIBLE white residue everywhere inside the house. I know from experience that if the stuff was mixed properly a white residue would not be visible. I called the company to tell them why I was dropping their service. A receptionist sounded concerned and told me a supervisor would call me. Alas, no call was received.

Description of Work: Ace provided an initial treatment for brown recluse spiders. They were extremely detailed and thorough. Benny showed up on time, explained everything in detail and applied the treatment in perfect conformance to the description. They will come monthly for the next year. I will continue using this company in the future as they are trustworthy and honest in conducting business.

Description of Work: This company started by removing three snakes from our garage. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and very present to our problem. We were so impressed with their handling of that problem that we dropped our previous company of over twenty years. They also ridded us of a seasonal infestation of ants that loved our kitchen. We had been dealing with that issue for two springs. After Ace provided the initial service, we have not had any additional problems. Yippee!

Ace came out immediately and inspected the property, made recommendations, gave us an estimate for spraying and quckly scheduled a technician to come and spray. They showed up on time and did a thorough job. I was pleased with their professionalism and prompt service. We have a large house and the estimate and actual cost were in line with other estimates.

+ -1 moreLast Wednesday morning, I discovered what I thought was a mouse scurrying across my living room floor and into my kitchen. The next morning I called Ace Exterminating Co. to check out the problem. I had been hearing some strange noises in the house before, but I hadn't seen any pests in the house until then. Josh, our technician, showed up Thursday morning and performed a very thorough search of the house, inside and out, and discovered that what I'd seen was actually a Norway rat, smaller than most rats found in urban areas, and that they were using insulation in the back of the oven as a nesting spot. Since Norway rats generally get into houses via small holes in the foundation, he put bait blocks in the basement/crawlspace as well as in the attic, where I had heard occasional scurrying noises. He also returned the next morning to check on the bait blocks, and since some of them had been moved, we figured the rats were taking to it right away. He set some more bait stations and promised to come back in ten days or so to check on the status of the problem. So far, no more rats in the house, alive or dead!

+ -1 moreTheir first treatment in August covered both the interior and exterior of the house. About a month later we noted a couple of live bugs (silverfish and centipede) in the kitchen and bath, so we called them back to report the problem. They promptly dispatched a technician to retreat the entire house at no cost and we have not found a live bug since (only a couple dead ones). They did the next quarterly treatment of the exterior and crawl space in November. Their technician is always on time and courteous and he wears protective booties to keep from tracking dirt into the house.
Description of Work: We signed up for their quarterly pest control service (including termites) shortly after moving into our home. Our HOA had arranged a special offer for residents in the neighborhood. I checked them out on Angie's List and compared their fee with some other exterminators and decided to give them a try.

As I had a really poor experience with them and their lousy customer service, I was forced to find an alternative source. I contact Ace and they were so reminescent of the old company I worked with, that I didn't even bother to call elsewhere. So far the service they have provided me has been great. . Since I usually have someone come monthly, they said they would come out if I need them to in between times & that is important to me, not because I have a lot of bugs, but because I am a complete bugaphobe. I won't kill them outside in their world as long as they do not cross over into mine.
