My air conditioning systemMy air conditioning had gone completely out on me. Brad, with Action Air, was out to my home the same day that I called their company for help. Brad checked out the system and was going to replace one of the motors but we decided that the air conditioning handling unit wouldn't make the summer, we would change out the whole system. I called them on Wednesday the 16th and asked them if they could have the complete system in and installed on Friday. They said yes, and were out like they said and had the system in and running by 4:00PM that day. The system is running great and all is cool here.

They were punctual, responsive and professional. Price-wise, I think they were pretty reasonable, but on something that is such a rare purchase, it's hard to know. As for quality, the system seems to run quite well so far. On the installation there are a couple of minor annoyances. I'm not sure those could have been avoided though, so I can't hold that against them too much. They ran a conduit down the side of the house to connect the interior units to the exterior units, and the upstairs unit's fan is a little noisy. Otherwise, we are pleased with the installation. They communicated with my wife and me frequently and were quite accommodating in finalizing the financing.

Went very well on both instances, as I said, prompt and efficient.

A/C went out Friday noon. Service person arrived late afternoon to diagnose. Unit was still operable after service person left, but failed completely shortly thereafter. We suffered with no A/C over the weekend but when I called again Monday morning they return and diagnosed the extent of the failure. Rather than wait for a factory replacement the service person found a satisfactory replacement locally. Monday evening we had A/C but unit had a high speed whine. I told the service person to wait for 24 hours to see if whine would go away. Wednesday morning I called to advise that whine was still there. Service person replaced motor with another new one and unit no longer whines. I am completely satisfied with the work done.

On Friday morning, during a record setting series of high temperature days over 100 degrees, our upstairs air conditioner (21 years old) stopped working. I called the Action Air answering service before 8:00 AM and received a return call within 30 minutes. A technician arrived around noon and found that the compressor had failed. He gave us pricing for three repair options. (1) new outside unit and inside coil only (2) complete unit replacement, standard unit (3) complete unit replacement, high efficiency unit. We chose the high efficiency unit and were happily surprised that Action Air would install it the next morning (Saturday). At 8:00 on Saturday morning three technicians arrived and began to work to remove and replace the unit. It was an extremely hot day outside and our attic, where most of the work was performed, was even hotter. The workers we're friendly and professional and by mid-day we had cool air. This is our second experience with Action Air. They installed a new package unit that supplies our downstairs heat and AC during the summer of 2010. They have been consistently prompt, professional, and willing to assist in an emergency.

AROUND I HAD BEEN GETTING. THEY SAID THEY WOULD GET AHOLD OF THE TECHNICIAN AND CALL ME BACK. THEY CALLED BACK A FEW MINUTES LATER AND SAID THAT HE WOULD BE THERE BEFORE 1PM. HE ARRIVED ALMOST EXACTLY AT ONE. I WAS NOT THERE BUT MY WIFE SAID THAT HE ANSWERED ALL HER QUESTIONS. SOUNDS LIKE THE SERVICE WAS OK, BUT GETTING THEM TO COMMUNICATE WITH ME WAS A BIT OF A HASSLE. GETTING A SERVICE COMPANY TO CALL US BACK TO NARROW DOWN THEIR TIME OF ARRIVAL SHOULD NOT BE SO COMPLICATED.

They were very prompt to reply to inquiry and came out immediately for an estimate. One week later they came out to install the unit which they did in one day. They were professional, courteous and cleaned up after the job. We would recommend them and will use them for all of our HVAC needs.

We called one night when we realized our heat was not working. Someone came out to check the unit. He cleaned it out and got it running again. It was after dark, so he said he would come back the next day to service the unit. He initially thought it had shut off because of debris that was inside (from lawn clipping, leaves etc). When he came back the next day he noticed that a particular part was in very poor condition. It had worn to the the point that it may not have been safe to continue using the unit without replacing it. We have gas heat so it was possible that carbon monoxide could come into the house. We were given an estimate for replacing this part and it was going to be pretty expensive. The unit was probably about 15 years old so we did not want to spend that much on it. We decided to get a new unit. We were given quotes for two different units. We could have gotten one that was less expensive, but opted for a more energy efficient unit hoping that it would pay for itself over time. The unit was installed the same day. Several days later I noticed that a drainage pipe from a pre-existing humidifier had inadvertently been pushed into the house during installation. When I called Action Air they got someone back to our house the same day to fix the problem. He had it taken care of in no time. We have been very pleased with this unit. We will definitely use Action Air in the future. They were dependable and easy to work with.

They were wonderful. They were quick to get here. The guy was very polite. It was a cold wet day, and he was down on the ground fixing it. The experience was very good. My husband also feels the same way, and we are very happy with them. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

They were really good. We got discount from Angie's list. They gave us a discount on top of what we got for being an Angie's list member. It would have been a lot more than that. I don't have all of it exactly right with me, but their price is very reasonable and actually less than other competitors. They were very punctual. They were there when they said they would be. They immediately responded to us. They came a lot quicker than we thought they would be. We definitely will use them.

The compressor on my outdoor A/C unit was not working. Brad installed a jump start to it and it worked beautifully.

Thorough cleaning and check-up was performed on both units (exterior pumps and interior air handlers). Technician explained the procedure and made recommendations regarding ongoing upkeep. Diagnostics on the failed unit was performed. Fuses were replaced (at no charge) and the "Hard Start" Unit was replaced due to failure. Since I had signed up for bi-annual maintenance I received a 15% discount on the replacement of the required part. Bi-annual (Spring & Fall) maintenance agreement for 1 year 2 units was $179. This is a more reasonable pricing than others I compared against. Discounted repair/replacement was $115.

Excellent service. My ac went out during a week of 100degree temps. I called Wednesday afternoon, they came Thursday morning and were installing my new unit by Friday. Very professional. Great follow through. Will use them for all of our heating/cooling needs.

I spent about $200 on that work. They are very punctual and have good customer service. They have a 24 hour line that we can call on.

I called to have someone from Action come to give us their recommendations on what type of system we needed and quote on an area that had no heating and air (or ducts). It is a converted garage so the walls are cement. They suggested a ductless heat pump. I had other companies come out to compare what system they would recommend and compare pricing. They ALL suggested the ductless heat pump. Action estimated far below what other companies did on the same system. Action was able to schedule us in before Christmas so that the area could be used over the holidays which was wonderful. They did a GREAT job and we have LOVED the warm room! Thank you Action!

The air conditioners have been having problems; there is one for upstairs and one for downstairs. Last fall freon had to be added to the downstairs, I did not have Action add it. Just before it was time to turn the air off for the season, the upstairs started to go out also, but I waited until spring to fix it. It has gotten really hot really fast this year, so the air needed to be fixed fast! I called Action Air because they are just a couple miles from were I live. They offered to come out the very next day! I couldn't be home then, so they came two days after I called. The technician was very nice and told me I probably had a leak in the system somewhere. He explained everything in a way that I could understand; I am not technically minded at all. He recommended a service plan that would include two checks a year and cleaning them, which they needed very badly. He even thanked ME for being so patient, and gave me a coffee mug, calendar, and Starbucks gift card! The total bill for the freon and the service plan was about $350. They called the next week to make an appointment to service the systems. The lady on the phone was very polite and courteous. A different technician came 3 days after their call. He confirmed there was a leak and described in detail, with all pros and cons, all of the options for repair and replacement. I could not be happier with the service from Action Air.
