The workers of Sumner Roofing were very reliable. They did a very good job and we haven't had any problems since the new roof. They were also really great in working with my insurance company to get the job done.

Every person we worked with at Sumner Roofing did an excellent job. It started with the estimate which was done by Neal. He was a good listener and was professional. We got 3 estimates for the windows, siding, trim, soffits, gutters, porch columns and chimney cap. Sumner Roofing had the lowest bid. We were more concerned about quality than price, and the reviews on Angies list were posititve. We were very impressed by the quality. A father and son team installed everything but the gutters and the roof. They paid attention to detail and did an excellent job. They were also a lot of fun to talk to. They did such an excellent job and spoke highly of the roofing crew that we decided to use Sumner Roofing to replace the roof. We never got another estimate on the roof because we were confident they would do an excellent job. Once again we were not disappointed. The roof work was very extensive because we wanted the job done right. It took a large crew 2.5 days. They did an excellent job rebuilding the rafters and venting the roof properly. The roof looks good now and I am confident it will last for many years. Because we had Sumner Roofing do all the work they gave as a sizable discount on the roof. During the roofing repairs, there was some damage done to the aluminum trim. After the phone call, the siding team were promptly sent out to fix it and make everything right. I sensed they really wanted us to be completely satisfied before they sent the final bill, which was significant. The gutter crew also did an excellent job. The office staff was very easy and pleasant to work with. They were very good at calling ahead of time when they were coming out to work or weren't coming due to weather or other circumstances. We never had to wonder what was going on. I highly recommend this company for any of their services. If we had another home that needed this type of work we would call Sumner Roofing and wouldn't bother with other estimates.

We had occurring with problems with gutter overflow. Sumner Roofing examined all gutters and downspouts and found them to be right size and the amount of dowspouts acceptable. The back of our house, though (even with spring and fall gutter clean) has a tremendous amount of pine trees near. The needles continued to clog gutters. Sumner Roofing installed gutter protectors for us (the salesman and inspector took the time to show us samples of all the types of protectors we could use)> It seemed to be a "team effort" -absolutely no hard sales, he gave us the initial estimate and gave us time to think it over. We did, we called back and contracted. This company will be our choice when we need something else with their expertise.

Check and Cleaned gutters at roof level. Have some down spouts that connect to underground links to move water away from house, they did not know what to do/how to clean that section.

In removing the gutters there was some rotted soffit boards that became apparent. I was told that this was not their problem, and they did not fix things like that. I explained that I did not have these holes until they took the gutters off, and that they should repair the soffit. I even said that I was willing to pay to have that done. Eventually (several weeks and several phone calls later), they sent a crew that not only replaced the soffit boards but also painted them. Luckily, I had not paid them yet for the work that was completed. I feel that had I paid them, the additional work would not have been done, but in the end they did do a good job.

Sumner roofing has apparently been very busy, as we had to wait 2 months for them to begin, as they had advised us from the beginning. Once they started, work went quickly, and generally professionally. The job looks very good, and they came back on their own to inspect and make a few modifications to the job, even though any problems were not obvious to me. A general note concerning roofing: roofing bids are based on measurements of the roof, and calculation of the number of squares (100 square feet of roof) times a rate per square, with some adjustment for slope, etc. The quote is, however, based on the job, so in my case even though they overestimated the job by 7 squares, I still paid for the full quote. If I were re-roofing again I would measure and sketch the roof, and calculate the number of squares myself, then compare my calculations to the roofers' to ensure that I was not paying for excess labor and materials.

They were more expensive then a couple of other quotes but I was pleased with their job. I did have a problem with all of the nails that they left behind in my yard.

There is not a better roofing company than Sumner Roofing. They were there the day after the tornado to put tarps up so no more extensive damage would be done to the house. I am very happy with this company and the quality of their work.

The sales person was good, but it took to long to get the job done. Sumner took a month longer than quoted to get started. The quality of the work was fine.

My overall experience with Sumner Roofing was very good. They cleaned up after themselves, including picking up all the nails. The men that installed the roof were very friendly. They answered any questions we had without making it seem like a burden.
