All About Dryer Vents

Do's: Service was exceptional. They called me in advance to let me know that they were going to be coming early. They were very thorough in showing me the problem with the venting that was causing the water vapor in the laundry room. The end result was a dryer that is running very efficiently and safely and new venting that will probably outlast the house. I would recommend highly. Don'ts: Price was a bit higher than anticipated. But, the quality of the work is worth the cost.

The work went great and very smooth. The men were very informative and friendly. They were on time and cleaned up after themselved I would recommend them to anyone seeking this time of service.

John and his assistant arrived at the scheduled time. They were neatly dressed and behaved in a professional manner. John explained the process and began by checking behind the dryer to be sure everything was connected properly. His assistant went under the house to check the line from there. They attached the equipment outside and cleaned the vent line all the way up to the back of the dryer. There was no mess left behind or disruption to us. He came back in when he finished and explained what he had done and what he found. He changed the exterior vent so it would close easier and keep the cold air out when the dryer was not running. He gave me the invoice and collected the payment. He pointed out his phone number and website on the invoice and told me to call him if I had any questions or if there were any problems.

John was prompt and polite. He and his helper did an excellent job cleaning a dryer vent that hadn't been cleaned in years. The portion that vents to the outside had come off, so he installed a new one. I was pleased with the service and would definitely recommend this company.

John showed up early and quickly checked the dryer, vents, soffit and attic. His machine pulled the lint out the soffit and then he cleaned it up off my patio. John was very professional and efficient. I will be using this service on a regular basis in the future.

He came on time prepared to do the job. The vent is on the roof. He climbed up. Used a reverse air-flow method to clean the vent.He cleaned up all of the debris that came out of the vent, He was very efficient and proffessional. The price was fair.

He was very responsive to my need to change the time of the appointment. He cleaned the vent in a timely manner and cleaned up the debris outside the house from the clog. He told me I would use less electricity now and my dryer would work better. He was right, it dries very fast now. :)

Excellent response, very professional and competent. Our dryer had been taking forever to finish drying a normal load. After having the correct vent installed, my wife can not believe how much faster the dryer works now. We expect to recover the cost of the service by the amount we will save in electricity costs in the first year alone. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing their dryer vent service...we will certainly be using them for future service.

It went great as far as the cleaning. the tech was pleasant. he rerouted the vent pipe under the house, but he left all the scrap material. I was astounded by the amount of lint in my dryer vent.

The Knoxville man responded promptly and, since he was coming to Asheville the next day, he cleaned my vent that day too. Very responsive, very professional, great job!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I wasn't really impressed with the service. He did solve one problem I was really appreciative of. There was a gap that was letting the lints from my dryer and it wasn't going out the way it's supposed to go out. It was actually getting out to another place. I really appreciate him taking care of that and discovering them because I wasn't aware of it. I have 2 dryers and what he did to clean out the vents was very little. Apparently, he thought they did a neat cleaning which I'm surprised because they hadn't been cleaning it.

John came out right when he said he would. He explained what he was doing, even suggesting we take our toddler out of the house because it was going to get loud. Start to finish was under 1 hour. He cleaned up a most of the lint that was blown into the yard, leaving only small pieces that were easily washed away by the rain that was coming. He actually wanted to take pictures of the dryer tube as an example of what NOT to let your vents get because not only was the vent through the house completely solid, but the tube from the dryer was nearly blocked. No wonder it took me 2+ hours to get my clothes dry. He got everything blown out quickly, showed us how our outside vent flaps now moved (they had never moved in the entire time we lived at the house 10 years and we assumed they weren't supposed to). <---First time homeowners. He replaced the vent connector on the dryer to be something better for connecting to the dryer and apologized for having to charge a bit more because he had to get out his "big" ladder in order to reach our 2nd story high vent. Considering how high up he had to climb, that made perfect sense to us. We still thought the price was reasonable. It now takes me about 50 minutes to dry a load of towels, though my dryer is fairly old and not top of the line so I think a newer dryer would take even less time.

They did a great job. We will have them come annually to clean the ducts. I was so impressed that we had them come to our home to evaluate our bad dryer vent arrangement, and install a new duct to re-route it. The technician was kind enough to bring a sample dryer vent "flapper" to show me what we need at the apartment building.

I called John to clean out my dryer vent. The vent makes TWO 90* turns and then travels 25' before opening up to the outside. As he began to clean the vent, he could tell that it was pulled apart in two areas and that a bird's nest was still inside of it. So the dryer was definitely not venting properly. The dryer vent was routed through the house in such a way that the process of replacing it was going to be tedious and expensive. So, John was able to cut out a new vent pathway that allowed for only one 90* turn and a very short distance to the outside. My drying time was reduced by at least 50%. John and his helper did an excellent job...they were very neat and completely cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend this company!

Based on other Angie's List reviews I chose to contact this company. I was not disappointed in any manner. I called to schedule an appointment, left a message and John promptly called me back. After I explained my problem and that I was out of town, he offer to leave his afternoon schedule open until I could confirm my wife or daughter could be home to let him in for the service. This was exceptionally considerate as it was going to take me several hours to obtain an answer. The appointment was set, my wifed confirmed John arrived on time, explained various aspects of the process and results, and completed the task within an hour. Exceptional service that I will use again and share with others.

The service representative arrived on time and completed the cleaning in about an hour. He was friendly and professional. When he moved the dryer to gain access for attaching the forced air fan for cleaning the vent, he was careful not to damage the hard wood floors. He reattached the dryer hose to the wall vent pipe in a more secure manner than had previously been done. I was very pleased with the service and will use the company again in the future.

The gentlemen arrived just a few minutes before their scheduled time. They explained what they were going to do to clean the dryer ducting and vent. We also could not push the dryer back to the wall because of the way the vent was made and they fixed that as well for like only an additional $10! They were both courteous, professional, friendly; everything you could want from a company/service. I highly recommend these gentlemen for any dryer/vent cleaning services you may need. We could not have been more pleased - Thank You!!!

This was an Angie's List Special offer, that I took advantage of. I was very pleased with the service and now 9 months later the dryer is still working better than it had for several years.

It turned out that I didn't have a big problem but he did what he was supposed to, he cleaned it out. It was worth it because it can be a fire hazard. I hadn't had it cleaned in twenty years. Good quality and he was very professional.

It went well and a lot of material was removed from the vent. We were pleased with the result.

Overall, the service and servicing time was more than expected. Did a great job.
