All About Dryer Vents

We are in the Asheville area and the owner (Bruce) and technician (Tom) came to our home today to fix a very difficult issue that had been a problem for years. They were able to figure things out quickly and fix the problem in a way that was never suggested previously. They were prompt, courteous, friendly and were very honest. Bruce wanted to make us happy and did a great job. We will definitely use him in the future.

We moved into our home in Knoxville. We didn't want to use the dryer as we felt the vent would need a cleaning . The technician came and he was very nice and seemed knowledgeable, but it took over an hour for him to identify where the vent was. Once he did that, he vacuumed from the inside and did not get very much. He felt the flap outside on the roof wasn't opening enough. He didn't want to climb on the roof, so he stood on a ladder, and with the handle of a tool, tried to jam the flap open. We were not happy as we feared an animal might get into the vent. we needed to call another service to come and he got a huge amount of lint out. I would not use this service again. We should get a refund

Charlie is an extremely pleasant and knowledgeable man. He determined the best route and did a wonderful job for a very reasonable price. I will definitely call him again if the need arises.

Charlie and his wife Marie came out on the same day within the hour of calling. They were professional, thorough, and took the time to explain everything they were doing. It felt like they were family friends instead of a professional service that I just called. I feel they went above and beyond and will be calling them annual for their upkeep services.

Charlie was very courteous and professional. He was able to come to our job in a very reasonable amount of time. He was very thorough in moving out a stack washer and dryer unit and cleaning all around, including the top of the stack , which I could never reach. He inspected our installation and recommended replacing the connecting duct work, which was leaking a lot of fuzz and dust. Then he went outside, climbed a ladder with equipment and cleaned all of the lint in the duct outside, by blowing it from the inside. He did the same with our other dryer on the lower level. We were completely satisfied with his work. He left both areas neat and tidy! Great job!

My clothes dryer was not drying my clothes and a friend recommended Charlie form "All about Dryer Vents" to clean out the duct work. I called them and Charlie stated he would be at my residence at 9:00 A.M. He arrived at 8:59 and cleaned out the dryer vent that went through the attic and out the roof. He use the right equipment to properly clean and unclog the vents. The duct work was loose in the attic and he repaired it. The vacuum cleaner he used was almost full from lint, etc. No dust or lint was left behind from his work due to the proper equipment and filters he used. He was very professional, friendly and courteous. My clothes dryer now drys clothes in less than half the time. The charge was very reasonable as compared to others and well worth the money. I am glad I hired a true professional to do the work.

I was pleasingly surprised at the quick service. If I could give a "AAA" for punctuality, I would. It so happens, Charlie was completing his work for the day when I called. I left a message, but, my call was returned minutes later. He said he was about an hour away and would be to our home as quickly as he could. As promised, he arrived within the specified timeframe and assessed what services needed to be performed, as well as cost. A new vent was rerouted (as the old one was poorly installed, ripped, ineffective, and dumping lint throughout the crawlspace). The new mechanism was much shorter, neater, and less complicated than the old one. Charlie was extremely courteous, professional, and ever-so neat. He was mindful of not scratching the hardwood floors and took specific precautions to not damage them. We discussed dryer maintenance, as well. I would definitely hire "All About Dryer Vents" again. This is all they do, which makes them a standout specialty service.

Charles did an excellent job in all aspects. He was meticulous and thorough in workmanship, and left the work area inside and outside absolutely clean. The work is high quality and will endure for many years. He was a pleasure to work with. The price was very reasonable for the work, and it was completed in less time than we expected.

I live in a really remote part of East Tennessee, even by country folk's standards. My closest towns are Greeneville and Newport TN, both over a half hour away. Neither town had a dryer duct cleaning company. I was calling Kingsport and Knoxville but was outside of their service range. Thankfully, Google Maps displayed the name "All About Dryer Vents". Their listing said they service the greater Tri-cities and greater Asheville (that is a huge service area!) I called and a real live technician answered right away. He managed to fit me into his schedule the following day, even though he was based in Gatlinburg and had two service calls in Asheville on that same day. The technician arrived on time in a clean company vehicle and uniform. He recognized that attempting to remove the 12 feet of old plastic duct would require tearing into the ceiling sheetrock and cause unneeded expense. He quickly figured out a way to make a much shorter run with the new aluminum duct, and closed off the old one. In short, excellent service, fairly priced, and courteous employees.

Charlie was very professional. He rerouted the dryer vent, and left everything super clean. If you need vent cleaning or as in my case, rerouting because of an exceptionally long run, I would highly recommend. The job was completed at the quoted price. Definitely one of the best service call experiences I have had.

It went very well. This was my second time to use ALL ABOUT DRYER VENTS. Last year at my request they replace the exterior roof vent for a newer model and also cleaned all the duct work. My dryer has worked efficiently since last year. Today I had my annual cleaning and check up. I will continue to use this company yearly. Thank you Charlie!

Very friendly and professional. I can highly recommend this company and John Henning. He swept the floor around the dryer which was very dusty due to previously existing improper installation of the dryer hose leading from the dryer to the wall and he installed a new hose. He also cleaned the outside vent even though it was raining. I will call him again next year.

Please have them check your dryer vents; it can cause fires if not properly vented.....If your dryer takes a long time to dry or you feel the back of your dryer and it gets really hot tot the touch....please call these people. They are great!

the technician was professional and friendly, and he arrived as scheduled. While his assistant was cleaning out the dryer vent ductwork from the outside, he checked and shortened the existing dryer hose while correcting the crimp in the stationary metal vent coming from the floor. He also replaced the outside vent covering to a different style which will result in no more vacuuming of the accumulated lint. He cleaned up what little mess he made inside and was done in less than 45 minutes. I will use his services again when it's time to have the service performed.

I realized that there was a big problem because it was taking 2-3 dryer cycles to get my clothes dry and the temperature inside the dryer was perfectly hot. It had gotten worse so I was hoping someone could come out quickly. I called on business and they couldn't come until the next week. I called John at All About Dryer Vents and he said he was in my area and had to go out to get some supplies so he would swing by and see if he could clean my dryer vent that day! He and his assistant came and quickly got to work. He found there was no air pressure in the dryer vent and went into the attic to clean the vent from there. He said the vent was pretty full with lint. He tested it again and it still had low air pressure so he worked from where the vent goes into the wall from the dryer and found a piece of shingle from when we had had our house re-roofed. That took care of it. This all took less than an hour and his price was 1/2 what the first company I called quoted me. And the best part was he was able and willing to come the same day I called!! Definitely recommend this company!

The contractor did not show up for 11:00 am appt. as originally promised; and never called to say he was going to be late. Each time the business number was called to find our where he was it went to voicemail. Finally, approximately one hour and twenty minutes later, received, call back stating he was "tied up" and on the way. Had to re-schedule appt. until 5:00 pm. Contractor showed up and refused to clean lint out of corrugated ductwork from dryer stated, we were in "violation of County Codes" and had to be immediately replaced with his special galvanized sheet metal tubing. Instead of the original $100.00 cleaning price quoted over the phone, contractor now stated the cost would be $375.00, minus $25.00, because he "felt bad" for missing his 11:00 am appointment earlier in the day. The Grand total was $350.00 for the new ductwork. Prior to the contractor's departure, (several times) it was specifically requested that he show us the lint build up in the old duct work, and he ignored our requests. Later, we contacted the City Code Inspector for our town (which takes precedent) over the County ordinances, and verified that we were in compliance all along and the Contractor known or should have known what he was talking about prior to charging us and replacing equipment that was not needed. We will not use this company in the future.

All went very well. Charlie Earl was prompt and efficient in his service. He was informative and gave my husband a report on the condition of our dryer vent and reaffirmed that had we waited much longer to have the dryer vent cleaned and replaced, there could have been the threat of a fire ...eventually. We are so thankful for his service. I would highly recommend ALL ABOUT DRYER VENTS to anyone.

The provider returned my calls promptly and showed up on time. He explained the work that needed to be done along with the time that would be needed to complete the work and any potential issues that could be encountered. The job was completed quickly and without any problems. He was knowledgeable and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend his services and I will use him for regular dryer vent cleanings.

He didn't try to sell me anything, which is unusual from my past experiences. I am definitely going to tell my friends about him. My dryer is working so much better. I can't believe the difference.
