After I got the quote and approved it , we scheduled a time for the workman to start. One person came out every day until the siding and eaves were done. Then one day the people that put the gutters on came out and completed the job.

Was a good experience. Quality is great, salesman was professional and appeared honest. Biggest complaint is they keep calling me about installing windows in my home. That takes away from the professionalism of the business. Also another salesman was calling me from there after we had the windows installed. Overall - no complaints. Have recommended them to several people.

I was pleased with the work that they did and it turned out good. They were here when they said they would be, finished the job on time and they picked up all the scrap. They were professional.

They were awesome. We spent $2500 on that service. They had to come and replace a window that had moisture in the middle and we had no problem and they came out and replaced it. They also replaced the screen that had holes in it. They are a little pricey, but it is well worth it because we get a life time guarantee.

Got a good estimate, scheduled installation. They were professional, prompt, and responsive. Had a small problem but the Company made a good and fast response to fixing the problem. I would recommend this company to anyone. However, our experience is only a few months old...and time will tell. They have a super warranty...but again, time will tell. Loved the product that we purchased. It has all the features people want in a replacement window.

Their quality of their work was not very good, they used contractors for the work and they did not know the situation before they got here. It took them longer and basically they did a poor job. They installed the floor boards upside down and we had to pay twice for the floor boards, they just did a pretty poor job. They didn't do anything else for us, nor will they ever.

The presentation of product information went very well, but things started going downhill after that. A price of $12,000 was presented for the purchase and installation of the three doors. That price included materials, installation, manufacturer's warranty on the product, and American Home Design's lifetime warranty on installation. When the pricing was presented I started getting the "car salesman" pressure to buy immediately and sign up now. He offered to call his boss "to see if he could get a 5% price reduction". I again reminded him that one of the stipulations made when I scheduled the appointment was that I did not want to be pressured for an immediate sale. It is interesting to note that his price quote did not include, nor was it mentioned, a price reduction for the free installation of all products the AHD was offering at the time of his visit and that continues as of the time of this writing. I was not aware of that free installation offer by AHD and only learned about it upon my visit to their showroom the see the product in person. Subsequent to the home visit by AHD, I contacted another local firm and was able to secure a bid for the exact same products at a price of approximately 42% less. In all fairness to AHD, I should point out that the second bid does not include a lifetime installation warranty. I do not think a price difference of ~$5,000 is a price I wanted to pay for the lifetime installation warranty for this product and other products AHD is selling.

Ken was the estimator and did a good job. He did a typical sales pitch and showed us the benefits of his windows over the "others". He did have a good point in that if the typical cost to install a window is $100/window, how good is the window you get for $189.00. Also expressed the superiority of their warranty, etc. He did work with us on price (He actually said he had to call his boss to sell us windows at this low price. Seriously) and the installation and the windows are great. My main complaint is that the office kept calling me after we purchased the windows. They kept saying they have end of the year specials on replacement windows and all the offers and discounts we could get including a. $50.00 gift card. After the 4th or 5th call I said that we had bought windows 2 - 3 weeks ago from them and quit calling me. She said well your name is on my list and I just call the names on the list. Seems like they have a glitch somewhere back at the office and it made them look unprofessional and unappreciative of my business. The gentleman who works the showroom on weekends is a very nice man and does it so the salesmen can have weekends off with their family. I love it.

The experience went well. They came out on time and were done in the time that they estimated. They did a very thorough job of cleaning up afterwards. The sales man that we worked with was pleasant and he demonstrated his product very well. He was very good about showing me the options.

They were wonderful! They did a great job for us! They made an initial error in what we ordered, but they immediately and cheerfully corrected it and satisfied us. We would hire them again.

Job #1 went very well. Replacement windows is their niche, and they know what to do and do it well. They are over priced, but for a homeowner who wants a quality product with service over time, they are good. Job #2 was disaster. The three problems were 1) poor communication, 2) inaccurate measurements, and 3) faulty final product. THE STORY: I wanted new windows to add light to a basement room. Per American Home Design, I had another company cut the holes and frame in the windows. THEN American Home Design (AHD) sent out a man to measure for the windows. He asked the framing carpenter, who was there, to add more framing to make the holes smaller. The carpenter questioned this, but did exactly as directed. I asked for the windows to be expedited because plywood covering the holes = security problem. AHD said they would ask and call back. They never called. Five weeks later (no expediting), the windows came. The lead man measured and measured and kept saying that the windows were too small and kept asking what did I want to do about it. I kept saying I didn't know what to do about it, that I knew nothing about how to fix windows. He said, well "it's your house." I said, "If I had a plumbing problem, even though it is my house I wouldn't know how to fix it." He said they couldn't go back to the office and ask for new windows because "the office would be mad." I said that was their problem. I had contracted for correctly fitting windows to match the existing windows. About a week later I got a call from AHD asking to reschedule the install. I said the windows didn't fit. I was invited to speak with the president of the company. He said that he would send another measurer to ensure the windows were the correct size. #2 measurer came out. He said the windows were the correct size and would look exactly like the other windows when installed. I said I had heard two conflicting stories and the trust factor was gone. He kept interrupting me. I asked, "Does anyone at AHD listen?" He asked me for an apology, which I did not give. Soon thereafter he interrupted me again. I told him that was the fourth time he had interrupted me in the last five minutes. He seemed to realize the behavior at that point and things calmed down and he left. Another week passed. I got a letter from the president explaining the measurements and assuring me that the windows would fit and look exactly like the other ones. I was just worn down with worrying about windows. I called, made an appointment for the install. They came. They installed. The windows do NOT look like the others ones; there is more trim because they DID have to infill due to the error of the original measurer. Moreover, until I had threatened to not pay for the balance of the windows did anyone in the company listen to what I had to say. So there were three problems: communication, inaccurate measurement, and faulty final product. I would NEVER use this company again.

Overall they did a great job. If I needed to hire them again I would. They were on time, professional, and got the job done.

They have really good follow-up and they have a call center that makes calls more than one time to make sure you are satisfied. They also stopped back out to check on everything a few months later. I had a small leak and the were out in two days to fix it. I feel the glass helps with the utilities, in the summer I open all the screens and let the cool night air into my home. In the winter the sunlight coming through the glass and warms my home. We really enjoy using it year round.

Our builder for the project was Brian's team. The finished project came out great, although there were flaws with the team. 90% of the time, they showed up between 10 and 12. If they had got here between 8 and 9, the project would have been completed much faster. They did not pick up after themselves daily. We have 3 dogs that use the yard, and we had to pick up every day after they left. If it rained during the week, his team would not make it up on a Saturday. They did not show up on sunny days sometimes. Our price did not include electrical or the HVAC unit. We had that done ourselves. The project started Nov. 16 and finished Jan 6. Three weeks of that time was waiting for the upper windows to come. They can't be ordered until the rest of the room is complete so that is not there fault. If we had to do it over again, we would have had a commitment from Brian to start earlier, work Saturdays to make up rain days, be here every sunny day, and pick up every day.

American Home Design did a good job at completing the job, but did have to come back to correct some of the work. They were very professional about fixing the repairs required.

I felt the price was too high, so next time I would definitely look around. The end result was good, but I had to keep on American Home Design from start to finish. They take on too much work at one time. The work was done good, because I was there.

American Home Design did great work. All of the windows are amazing. They work and look great. The crew arrived on time, and they cleaned up everything when they were done. It was a pleasant experience.

American Windows was very helpful and professional. They were here everyday on time and got the job done. I am very pleased with the end result.

American Home was not reliable at all. I totally did not have any trust in this company whatsoever. When there was a problem it took them a long time to get back to me. We ended up calling the president of company to get it done right.
