I set up an appointment for an in-home estimate over the phone. I explained to them our circumstances where the decision makers (my wife and I) would be present. A different person called me back and tried to reschedule our appointment when they found out the person paying for the windows lives out of town would not be there. They were pushy and kept trying to re-schedule our appointment even after I told them that was not convenient for us and they tried to say that it was some kind of insurance issue. I don't like being lied to so I'm going to find a more customer oriented company.

The tubs are made here in the U.S. They were done in one day. An extremely good crew. They put down tarps down to walk in and out on. Very polite and cordial people. I only had to deal with one person. He handled the other contractors needed. They have their own contractors that they use which made it very easy and convenient. I would highly recommend them.

Had a delay due to bad weather. workers very friendly and professional, and they left property clean. I am happy with windows. Energy efficient, and they filter out neighborhood noise.

Besides the usual heat merchant sales approach (but, nice guys), we found the service to be very professional and a good quality product. The pricing was a little higher than we thought it should be according to other estimates, but, we also wanted good quality product, so we went with it. The installers were great; very professional, fast, quality work and they had been working together and for the company for many years. We are still expecting some replacements for 3 misfits, but, expect all to go well since they have been very responsive. Would certainly recommend AHD for replacement windows and would use them again if needed.

The installation of the windows went without any problems. Our downstairs windows (two small ones) took longer as those windows had been installed even before the flooring was put in the house. The window installers did and excellent job in removing those old windows and all that was needed to be done.

It was great! They came out in October, and had someone come out and measure. They showed us a presentation, and it was very good, very informative. It was a one day installation which was really great! The person came in the morning with all his equipment and we were able to use it the next day.

They failed to order one window so the installation took over a month. Overall, the service was okay.

They were a little expensive but they were very nice and very helpful. The salesman was super nice! He even tried to offer financing.

It was a good team of workers and it all went well. They were pretty fast and really friendly!

I was happy with it! They did it when they said they were going to, they did it on time and they did it all one day!

I would have appreciated a better customer service experience.

Bad experience. Job was going to take 2-3 weeks, took 3 months. The composite decking they used were 2 different colors. I had to contact the manufacturer. They came down and ripped out everything AHD did and replaced the decking with boards that were the correct color. We had one screw up after another. Nothing about this job went easy and smooth. For what we paid you would think AHD would have bent over backwards for us. No such luck. I did the leg work to get the job done the correct way. We will never use AHD again.

After moving into our home outside Burns TN in December my 90 yr old mother in law was having trouble accesing the bathtub due to her restriction of using a walker. we became concerned for her safety and began searching for a conversion option to a walk-in shower.we spoke to 3 providors 2 of whom offered to install a system from pre-built units from Lowes or Home depot and fit them to the room. American Home Design (AHD) presented a custom built system to fit the space exactly and improve the shower area with new moisture protection. We reviewed the company thru BBB and other sources and could not find negative information other than their pricing being higher. We selected AHD to do the work based on the custon fit, quality of service offered and the warranty that exceeded our expectations. They kept in regular contact with us as the project was being developed and when it was ready for install. The installer arrived just as expected and completed the install in one day. He encountered some issues with my bath plumbing that i feared would stall the project, but he was experienced enough to resolve the issue with his own resources. the quality of the install was excellent and everything is working as expected inlcuding my revised drain system. we are very pleased with the company work product. while they were more expensive than others we talked to this seems to be a case of you get what you pay for and we got quality. if any warranty issues arise and they are not addressed as advertised we will certainly update this review.

They have done a great job. They came while we were away and did the gutters very effectively. We noticed one board was wrong, but they came right out to fix it. They replaced our windows and did a great job.

They did the job, I found some things wrong and they sent out The Barnes Crew and they did a splendid job.....very, very good people. That little lady will and make sure the job is done right. If you get siding work done always ask for them. I guarantee they will do a fantastic job.

Salesman was on time (a bit early actually) and started with the hard sell almost immediately. We wanted quotes on 15 windows and a patio cover/deck. Salesman never would address the deck/patio with us as he said that it didn't sound like a priority for us (why would I have called otherwise?). We were trying to get him to understand that we were on a budget and wanted to see windows at all price points as their commercials said they had windows for every budget. He ignored our requests or dismissed them and insisted on pushing their most expensive and high end window. When we said the advertising mentioned windows for every budget and we wanted to see what else they sold, all he did was tell us that this was the only window we wanted and how great these windows are, etc. continuing to ignore our questions. He demonstrated how great their product is, etc then the REAL hard sell began (felt like I was being sold a car the sell was so hard). We almost couldn't get him out the door. He said that if we wanted an additional discount we needed to give him a deposit RIGHT then or we couldn't get the discount. Then he started to tell us how dangerous and unsecure our house was without these expensive windows and somebody could just push the window in and get at us. It took almost 30 mins to finally convince him that all we wanted was a quote. - AHD was the first company we had called and we wanted to get some quotes before we made up our mind. He wouldn't even leave us with numbers and was never really straight with us on the actual cost - numbers changed every time he picked up his pen and calculator. A waste of a day. He didn't leave us with ANY written estimates or anything other than a bad taste for AHD. We were really disappointed. We did A LOT of research before calling anyone and the reviews and reputation of AHD was impeccable. I really wanted to work with AHD. I still might consider it if a salesman (ANOTHER salesman) was willing to work with us on pricing. I've seen other reviews and spoken with other people that had a similar number of windows done and their quote was NO WHERE near as high as what we were quoted. When we mentioned what we were quoted to some people who had recently had windows done through AHD, their jaws dropped. One person we spoke with had more windows installed than we were wanting and they had paid a little less than we were quoted. I think the salesman was just really trying to bulk up his commission.

The guy that installed the windows was on time. He was nice. I didn't think the price was too high. He worked all day and late in the evening to get it done. Cleaned up everything good!

They are going to put in 11 double-paned, energy efficient windows. Basically, I chose them because of the comments on Angie's List. There was one who had a C and one with an overall B but most were A's. There were a lot of recommendations and one was an A so that was why I went with them. We haven't gotten the product yet. They were very nice and personable and well spoken and very informative. We haven't gotten the windows so I really can't say. They are not the cheapest in the group.

CLEAN AND COURTEOUS. I AM HAPPY WITH THE END RESULT!

We call them set up appt. for a sale person to come and give us a price. Replacement Windows , Gutters , and Screen Doors the sale person was very helpful. The day of the appt. the company call to let us know which sale person was comming and what time he would be here. The install manger call to setup a time for installer to come and put in the windows. The Gutter installer came and was gone before I got home from work. They did a great job. All of the installer clean up where they work .

They are one of the biggest stores for siding in Nashville. They had cut some of the boards too short and filled it in with cork. I did not pay $30,000 for cork. I keep calling them but I have still not got any response from them. Ever since they installed it I am after them to get the screws they have made. The corking is brown and they got it all over the white trim. I am not going to do anything about it. It is their job and it is their need to come out here and they need to fix it. Price wise they are in the ballpark. I will not use them again. When I called them they did send two people out here and they knew exactly what I needed and I was going to order it but they fired them because these people who came out told me what was wrong and it would cost the company another $10000 to fix everything that was done. That is what made me so mad. It is like they dropped the ball after they figured out that it is going to cost much more than just a little scrapping. They did not put flashing around the chimney. I had water spots coming down my chimney into my kitchen. The supervisor that runs this area is all concerned about it but he does nothing about it. It has 50 years guarantee.

Just awful. Bad response from the Company Higher Up's. The crew did not know what end was up and were untrained in hardy siding installation procedures.

When you shop for replacement windows, don't just get a "couple" of estimates, get several as I did. AHD is NOT the cheapest out there, but their quality of window AND installation justifies the price compared to the other companies that I invited into my home. I am very satisfied with the product I received. Their warranty is a TRUE lifetime warranty, as some companies are not. If you choose another window/company, be very thorough when you read the ENTIRE warranty. Now, communication from AHD is average at best, just from my experience. Maybe I am the problem here, but, when I spend this kind of money, I expect superior communication during and after the sale. IMO, I didn't get it. My overall grade could have been a A+ if I had my phone calls returned. In summary, this company has a outstanding quality product that is installed correctly and I would recommend them to anyone !!!!

Although they were a little more expensive, we felt the quality of the windows were better than the others. They were able to do the job quickly and efficiently. They put in 11 windows in a day and a half.

It was a fairly good deal for the number of windows we got done. We really liked the quality of work. They stand behind their product and that's what we were impressed with. They came and installed them. They brought to our attention that two of them were cracked and replaced that for free. I don't know whether we would have noticed them as the cracks were minor. We were really impressed with that. The only complaint was that it took long; it was a time consuming process. We have used them for couple of different things. I would use them in the future.
