Description of Work: We had all of our windows replaced for our home in 2007 by American Home Design. They are great to work with and very professional. Installation and removal of old windows went seamlessly. I called them in 2015 when two different windows each had small amount of "fog" appear, one on top part and one on bottom. They took the window numbers made the replacements and installed without charge. They stand by their guarantee. I would definitely recommend them without reservation!

Description of Work: We had 2 bath and showers surrounds completed. We have a so called lifetime warranty against mold and mildew. The cheap caulk they used to seal the seams had deteriorated and has gotten between the acrylic material and the old subway tiles. Well, we now mold in showers. I have contacted them 3x now and all we seem to get is someone trying to sell us new services. When I voice my issues they want to quickly transfer me to someone else. If you ain't buying... They ain't trying... This company just wants your money... They don't stand behind their product. I WILL NEVER EVERY DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN... And, to top it all off, speak to me as if I'm the problem and not the most important part of their business.

Description of Work: It has been several years (18+ years) since we used American Home Design. Put vinyl siding and gutters on house. Gutters were wrong color and had to be changed out immediately. The columns on the front porch were not pleasing to look at, but we didn't realize that the vinyl could and should have been installed differently. When we had the columns replaced, the person replacing commented on the way the vinyl covering the columns was installed. Not good! So, would probably not use them again. They may have better installers now. Just not impressed with ones that did the work at our house.

Description of Work: American Home Design replaced all of the windows in our house (except the garage & semicircle window above the front door). They arrived when they said they would and only took a day to install everything. They cleaned up after themselves and the workers were courteous. Their pricing is quite a bit more expensive than other window places that we checked, but they were also the only ones to give a lifetime warranty on the gas between the panes. We have seen a huge improvement in our comfort level in the summer and winter since we had the new windows installed. We were unable to cool below 80 degrees on a 100 degree day before, but now have no trouble cooling down to 72. | |We do not regret using American Home Design.

Description of Work: Very poor follow thru when starting and completing the installation. I asked the head installer to take a look at several of the windows and asked him if he could report the mold around the inside window seam and that 2 windows were opened at the top. He said that he would...3 months later no one has contacted me. I also wrote an email to Emily A after the work was complete and I shared my concerns, she did not respond to me either. My family has used American Home Design for several projects over the years, but after Oct 15 work, I will not recommend your company to anyone. For these reasons, I gave your company an "F" rating.

Description of Work: Installers were rude, some of them were rude, did not respect my house, played music too loud, hear it all over the neighborhood, ignored my request to notify me when they went into room where my cats were so I could place them in safe area, the windows were good product, installed well, left dirty areas in house, left my house to provide service for a neighbor overall was a painful installation process

Description of Work: They did a good job & cleaned up when finished. Had one window with an imperfection & they replaced it with no hassle. They are great to work with but they are expensive.

Description of Work: Sales person was ok. Convinced us they had best product. Very expensive. The real clincher they continue to call us and ask us if we want to buy windows from them. Helloooo I bought 20 windows from you! They continue to call us and when I say I bought windows from you, they say... want to purchase a sunroom? Makes me crazy and wish I had not used them! BUT the windows are very nice and do a great job sealing our home. I just think they are too expensive.

Description of Work: Rob the h*** out of me...They installed 2 shower surrounds for $16K...Whenever I call for service they're rude, they argue with me, and they refuse to properly repair the ceiling in 1 shower as it continues to peel away from the paint. And,when I refused to pay, they sued me and they won. Now I have an additional $5K I in lawyer's fees. I wish you luck with this company.

Description of Work: Great company and would highly recommend. Here is the thing...you are getting top service for a premium price. Get ready for sticker shock. They honor warranty and will be around for a long time. I found same windows for less money on my last round of window install but did not use American Home Design. If you are concerned about warranty issues down the line I would definitely use them.
