Geary was wonderful. Very personable and knowledgeable regarding window installation, insulation and heating and cooling efficiency. He came out the first time to provide me with an estimate free of charge and explained exactly what repairs were needed and why. He was honest enough to tell me that several of the windows that I had planned to replace were still in good shape and only needed minor repairs. He scheduled my job and provided me with the estimated cost of the job and called me the night before he arrived to confirm. He arrive on time and worked non stop the entire day. He did such an efficient job of taking the old windows out and putting the new ones in that another contractor that I also had at the house (for another project) commented on how nice of a job Geary did. The contractor quoted "Wow, he really knows his way around windows." A neighbor even asked me for his contact information. I am very pleased with the work that was done and have already scheduled some additional work to be completed in a November and in 2015. Trust me, you cannot ask for a better contractor for windows!

Delay for installation of some items -- waiting for items ordered and by very busy schedule of provider. Provider made clear how much we would have to wait. Quality of work done made the wait well worth it. He thoroughly cleaned up area after work. Provider worked on a weekend and late in day to lessen duration of delays. We are pleased with those items which he selected/suggested for installation.

We had a toilet leak and destroy our bathroom floor and part of our hallway floor as well. The bathroom was really dated anyway so we decided to tear the whole thing out and have it redone. Geary and one of his employees did the demo and he did all of the remodel by himself essentially. He tore out the damaged subfloor, light, the old shower, vanity, toilet and one of those annoying divider walls they put in bathrooms in the 70s (which made our bathroom look so much bigger). Before he started putting the bathroom back together he sealed the floor and shower walls with some sort of liquid rubber that he said wouldn't allow it to leak again. He repaired drywall, put in bead board, a daylight tube in the ceiling, had one of his employees tile the floor and shower (with really tiny floor tile I picked out that most people would complain about but they didn't), put in a new vanity, toilet, tub/shower, faucets, shower head-facuet-sprayer system, glass shower door, vent fan/light combo and rewired the light fixture for two on each side of the mirror instead of the one above the mirror that I had before. Also, since the leak went into the hall, the hall floor and footboard had to be torn out and the subfloor repaired, and the new flooring put down and trim redone. He had good suggestions about how to make our shower kid friendly (like putting in a low horizontal grab bar and where to put the sprayer so they could reach). We also had a weird light switch in hallway that controlled part of the bathroom lights. He rewired the bathroom so all the lights were on one switch (yay!) and turned the old light switch outlet into an electrical outlet in the hall. When I asked for a sunlight tube to be put in the ceiling he said "no problem" and did it. He also put up with my little kids bugging him all the time trying to see what he was doing and always brought them stickers each day. When the remodel took longer than the two weeks he had planned, he showed up on nights and weekends until it was done. The job cost exactly what he said it would at the beginning (which was about $6000 less than the other estimate we got). I would definitely call him again.

The job actually turned out to be larger than we expected. Geary was up to the task and more. The soffits in two of the area's required additional work and construction. He stayed on schedule, was clean and his workmanship is and was impeccable. Very hard worker, quick and does not cut corners. Kriste might not be the cheapest bid you will get but the quality of the materials and workmanship are well worth the price. Geary introduced me to a new wood product grown in GA that resists rot and water damage. A bit more expensive but almost guarantees a one time fix. Too boot, the job was a soffit or two bigger than he quoted and he kept the quote and price the same.

Geary does excellent work. He's very organized and his work is very meticulous. He arrived when he said he would, did a great job, and cleaned up before he left. I will definitely use him in the future,

Geary is extremely knowledgeable, courteous and great at what he does! He is the only contractor that I?ve worked with since building my new home that has arrived on time and got the job done as promised. His prices are excellent and I look forward to using him again.

I had a list of things 'to do' and finally used Angies List to find Geary and I will try andnot repeat comments made recently by others. He came out and estimated the work to be done. I was surprised when he said his next 'opening' was in six weeks (not days!). You get a sense when you meet him that he knows what he is doing and takes pride in his work, so I decided to wait with one exception: I had a broken outdoor pipe which controlled my outside water and needed to get that fixed. Sure enough, a few days later he called and came out on a Saturday to fix it. Quite a job because he had to remove some porch floor boards and replace a 15 ft length of PVC pipe underneath and replace the boards. I just watched as his long experience made the job look almost simple (but I never could have done it!). I was impressed when he didn't wnat any payment then for that work, but said he would send me an invoice when he finished all the tasks. Then sure enough, six weeks later he appeared and completed all the other tasks one after the other. I plan on getting on his six week (or longer??) waiting list again for some further work but have a feeling if I had an emergency, he'd be there for me. He charges what he charges and you get a bill which I pay without complaint. My only concern is that you can come to rely on him - and you only hope he continues to enjoy his work for a long time to come because replacing his knowledge and professionalism will be very difficult.

Everything went very well, as it always does when Geary is on the job . Geary knows how to fix just about anything. Everything he does, he does with excellence. That is very important to me. I have know Geary for 15 Years now, and trust his work and opinion. He has helped me out many times at my home and business. Without fail, he is someone who shows up when he says he will show up. That is hard to find. No matter how busy he may happen to be, if you have an emergency and need his help, he will find time in his schedule to help you out. I have given him the key to my home and my business at various times because he is someone that I trust in my home without question, whether I am present or not. Another thing that I really appreciate about Geary is that his work is always done correctly. You absolutely will not find out somewhere down the road that he cut corners somewhere. I would know, as Geary has completed numerous projects at my home and business over the past 15 years. You will never have to follow up on him to see if he doing everything he said he would. He treats everything that he does as though it belonged to him. I never price shop when Geary gives me a quote on a project. Knowing that the project will be completed on time, done with excellence, and last is far more important to me than possibly saving a few dollars on the front end. Thank you Geary, I really appreciate everything that you do for me.

Super service all the way--Geary Falk gets an A+ in my book.

I requested a quote to replace a patio door and screens for most of my windows. He gave me a quote on the door that was much higher than other quotes I got. He also quoted $10 to $15 per screen so I asked him to go ahead and do the screens. After he looked at the screens, he said he could just re-screen 3 of them and would need to replace 4 of them. His quote then doubled from what he first told me, probably because I hired someone else to replace the door, but I went ahead and had him do the screens anyway. One of the 4 screens he made was too small. There was about a 1/4" gap on both sides of the screen. When I called him after I noticed it, he said it probably just needed to be slid over. I told him I could slide it over but then there would be a 1/2" gap on one side. He said he would come out & look at it, but he never did. My screens are spring loaded but the ones he made are not and he caulked them in. A friend of mine noticed that and said it was very unprofessional for a contractor to do this. At this point, I am quite ok that he never came back! August, 2014 - I just read the provider response and if I hadn't already dealt with him, I would be stunned at his rudeness and how he is making stuff up as he goes. His response says more about his business than I ever could. I'll let those who read it decide for themselves. Buyer Beware is the word on this one!

Geary Falk does an excellent job. He showed up on time every time and called when he said he would. He comes in and gets right to work, works fast and does a thorough, quality job. His work ethic is very high and hard to come by these days. He actually did a few more things that I found after we had talked and didn?t charge me any more than the original quote. He treats people with respect. He even checked to make sure my cat wasn?t around when he went in and out of the house. And one day I happened to catch a peek of his five beautiful dogs that he rescued. You can?t go wrong with a man like that! And yes, as some others have said, he was booked a little in advance because of his fine reputation, but definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend this company.

I can not praise Geary enough!!! When I called, the message indicated that I would receive a call that night and I did, right on time. I explained the problems and Geary indicated that he might be able to come out the next day in between two of his scheduled jobs and he gave me an approximate time. He arrived promptly the next day, reviewed the problems, gave us a quote and started on the jobs. Geary is very professional and very knowledgeable. He did all the work in a timely manner and cleaned up his working area. He did an excellent job. The final bill actually came in lower than the quote! We would definately use Geary again for any needed repairs or installations. We would definately recommmed him to anyone we know.

I cannot say enough good things about Geary! We left a message for him and received a return call the same day. He promptly came out to give us a quote and went over all aspects of our project, to let us know how it would proceed. His work ethic is awesome and I would recommend him to anyone. He is such an awesome person?very detailed, very neat in his work and clean up, and such a trustworthy guy. I would trust him with any job that I had. He is very dependable as well. I am a perfectionist and can not see any drywall patches on my ceiling where he add new lights. He's awesome!

Geary Falk is, in my opinion, an expert in remodeling. He did all the work himself, quickly and with high quality. He also employed some creativity along the way. After his work each day Geary cleaned the work area to the point of being cleaner than when he started. He uses screws on the wall board instead of nails. He also uses a special mud compound that creates less dust when sanded. And then he uses a special vacuum as he sands which created almost zero dust. The drywall was smooth as glass at completion. We had to wait about a month after his quote for Geary to begin due to his existing work load but the wait was worth it. He was not the least expensive quote we obtained but was significantly below two other quotes we received. He was intent on doing the job right and to our satisfaction.

He has been doing repairs and minor improvements to our home for years. He is honest and responsive. His work is dependable and he follows up to make certain we are happy. Plus, he is always nice to my kids and dogs!

He came out to bid on a Saturday around the holidays and promptly returned a bid. He gave an estimate when the door would be ready and it was ready a bit sooner than expected. We set a date for installation, Geary showed up on time and promptly installed the door. It looks great and we are very pleased.

I had a gutter two stories up that had pulled away from the house. Roofers & gutter guys were not interested in the business as it was a small job - one never called me back, one quoted $450, and another quoted $350 and then never showed up. The guy from Kriste, I think his name was John, showed up when he said he would, got his ladder off the truck and had the gutter back in place with screws this time, not nails, in less than an hour. He also went down the rest of the gutter shoring it up with new screws. Best work ethic I've seen in a long time and a good positive person. When he finished he said it was $150 but since it was almost Christmas, he'd take $100. So I gave him $115. I couldn't have been happier. I have already recommended him to my next door neighbor who needs some work done.

We wound up going with someone else who had a cheaper bid. Well, you get what you pay for. I've seen Geary's work and it is top tier work. We wish we had used Kristie Maintenance now.

Worked me into to his schedule...showed up on time and repaired the electrical issues my licensed electrician overlooked

Geary came out to assess the work that needed done and followed up quickly with a quote, which was reasonable. He was able to offer suggestions and ideas but was not in any way pushy or upselling. The door had to be ordered. We did have an issue on the scheduling, which I believed was to be installed in November but wasn't installed until December. This unnerved me because of the weather in December and the dismantling of a large door during cold temps, but Geary was prepared and had a solution to that issue. Everything went well, the door looks very nice and seems to be well sealed. **UPDATE** After seeing the provider's response to my review of December 30, 2013 for the first time in October 2014, I would like to write that I am insulted by his sarcastic comments about my "C" grade on punctuality. Overall, I was pleased with his work as can been viewed by my overall "A" grade of his service. The punctuality issue did not apply to his on-time (and 15-minutes early) appointment for an evaluation of the situation and quote for work needed, but with when the work was performed. Geary quoted the job on September 28, 2013. He stated that there would be a 4-week time lag between the time he received my check for the deposit and when the door would be ready for installation and I understood that. Four weeks from September 28, 2013, would be October 26, 2013. There was a slight delay since I wanted a written quote and to see proof of insurance and there was, as he stated in his review, a glitch with the post office in delivering his formal quote and supplying me with documentation of insurance. But, if I do the math as he sarcastically recommends, if he received my deposit on October 8, 2013 and, according to his comment, "do the math...there is no way the door unit was even ready to be picked up in November, let alone be installed..." I don't understand it at all. Four weeks from October 8, 2013 is November 5, 2013. So why, if the door is ready on November 5, 2013, am I castigated for not expecting the installation in November? I did not expect it in December at all, when the weather is colder and would have waited until spring to do the job if it dragged on into December. If he is so busy as to to be unable to install after delivery, I should have been informed. I fully expected it to be installed in November, not December. I provided this information only to provide feedback to Kriste Maintenance. Although I was generally happy with the service based on my grades, I would have to say that I would not use his services again because of his demeaning and erroneous comments and have noted similar comments to other customers on Angie's List. I understand the desire for good/perfect reviews, but demeaning the customer in the process isn't a good strategy, in my opinion."

Geary did an excellent job of designing creative solutions for difficult installations. We needed a dog door in a sidelight window for the French doors leading onto our deck. It required fitting a thick plexiglass pane in place of the original window and cutting to allow for a dog door that would fit the width of the narrow window. The result is asthetically pleasing and functional. Geary cut some left over railing material for a second handrail on our stairs, beveling the ends so that there was no raw edges and did a great job of making the railing fit the style already in place. Geary also installed a cat door in our laundry room door to prevent the dogs from getting fat from eating cat food and other unmentionable cat by products from the litter pan. The dogs now enjoy much more "face" time. Our cat is apparently a beast and required a larger than usual cat door, which Geary cheerfully went shopping for and installed.

very professional. was able to repair shower door without having to replace..got our gas fireplace working when no one else could. will definitely use again and recommend!
