Solo Landscape

One of the main reasons for hiring a lawn service provider was the removal of large weeds in the back yard that prevented lawn mowing. This removal in the backyard was only halfway completed. The service prices were GROSSLY inflated and they attempted to charge us for services not rendered, as well as attempted to re-charge me for the same services because they could not find their record of my payment. Both times I had them correct their invoice (which I'll assume for their sake were just mistakes). Also, upon reviewing today, I believe they charged us for "services" listed on their mostly costly invoice ($1,600+) that didn't actually happen at all. Or were grossly overcharged. $150 to mulch a ~10ft path with stepping stones leading from the driveway to the front steps? That seems quite steep. Their communication with us was dismal as well (through the site & e-mail with the owner). However, the man who came out to give an estimate, the foreman I believe, was communicative and responded quickly through text. So it is not the employees/workers to blame at all. We also had the lawn mowed (incompletely, as they didn't clear the entire lawn in order for it to BE mowed) for a couple of months afterward by them, in which time they completely ignored the incomplete backyard, so it just grew over more and more. We unsuccessfully tried to get in touch about the incompleteness of the work. And to get clarification about the exorbitant pricing. Eventually we cancelled the weekly lawn service, and found a MUCH more affordable lawn care provider to not only clear the rest of the back yard, but to mow front and back for a much better price. We weren't even having landscaping done, lawn design, or flowers planted. We simply wanted the yard cleared of large weeds and mowed. this simple task was incomplete and exorbitantly priced.

Couldn't have been more pleased! As a transplant to Memphis and recent homeowner, I am so happy I found this establishment. Even though their messages were short and to the point through Angie's List, they were on time and finished the job asked- exceeding my expectations. Well worth the money with all of the major limbs that had fell throughout the winter and the piles of leaves across the yard.

I had to keep calling them. They could have responded sooner.

Communication wasn't very good. They seem nice and all of that, and I'm sure had they come out it would have been great, but the lack of communication forced my hand to seek a refund.

Maybe I am ignorant in the way that Angie's List works but, when I completed my order online I added a note to have Solo contact me by phone and left my phone number. Rather than calling I began to receive messages on Angie's List asking what I wanted to have done. I tried as best I could to explain this in an email but, I did not feel that it was coming across correctly and then I had a difficult time understanding what he was saying (again, this was probably my ignorance). However, after several emails I called the owner and left a message. Did not hear back so I sent another email. This was on December 4th and he said he would call the next day. I did not receive his call until 12/07. We went over everything and I explained that I had family coming into town for the holidays and needed the work completed by 12/16. He said this would not be a problem as it wasn't supposed to rain until Sunday the 13th.....which it didn't. He told me he would text me later that afternoon with the day & time they were going to come out and complete the work.....haven't heard a thing since. It is now 12/16 and my family will be here tomorrow and my yard looks exactly as it did on the day I placed the order (11/30). Nice enough people and I understand that they have a very large book of business but, I needed this work done and between the communication issues and the lack of follow through I have chosen to cancel my order.

Didn't show up the first day they were scheduled. They rescheduled and they worked in the rain, most of the time. They did good work but they had communication problems and didn't completely understand what I wanted done. Overall, I'm satisfied with their work but not ecstatic.

Patrick and his crew did an excellent job. This was a large project taking multiple days. Patrick did an outstanding job helping to plan the project. He and his crew worked very hard to make sure that every detail of the job was completed as planned. The end results were great and I would definitely use Solo Landscape in the future.

Solo did a pretty good job. We had moved hastily into a rental home, that has lots of tees and had been left with leaves still in yard, branches/sticks/limbs in the yard. Grass had grown a bit, but with the shade and tress all around it doesn't grow much actually. But it needed cutting and light edging, and some bushes needed trimming. They did a very good job. It was a lot and so they didnt get to finish cutting the grass or removing all the leaves. They had like 5 or 6 workers so the time was split between them. They did a pretty good job.

Solo installed landscape lighting across the front of our house as well as in the yard. We had portions of our house that "went away" at night because of a lack of lighting. We originally had Solo quote us on a patio project. We loved Patrick's ideas so much on that project (we decided to put that one off until next year), that we asked him to quote us on the lighting. So glad we did. Because our house was a little tricky, it caused some issues with the photocell. Patrick stayed on top of it and eventually had to upgrade the transformer (at additional cost to him) to make it work properly. Definitely recommend Solo.

We use Solo Landscape. I used them three months ago. I would tell others that they were good. They finished the job as expected.

They were unable to start on the scheduled day due to lots and lots of rain but the first dry day, the Solo team came while I was at work and did everything estimated in the quote. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

They did a GREAT job. took care of weeds I didn't know I had, and did it quickly.

Three workers did a great job pulling weeds and vines on a very steep slope and trimming an overgrown shrub. They did a great cleanup also.

The deal was $220 for eight hours labor . But it required that a crew of four men working at the same time over a two hour. period. I would have preferred having two men for four hours but that was not an option. . The owner, Patrick, will not break those crews up. These guys were hard-working and did a good job for me. I plan to hire them again.

The Guys did a great job, but you have to be on the job with them to tell them exactly what to do. They work hard and get it done. You have to keep telling them to cut a little more after you have explained what you want. To make a long story short, you have to have landscape knowledge yourself.

It worked out very good. We have use them twice a month all year long.

it was quick and they did exactly what I expected. it was a very positive experience.

Solo provided excellent work by weeded my flower bed, trimming my bushes and trees. Will call again in the spring. Thanks Solo!

They were fine. They did a good job. They were excellent. We had additional work. The workers are very good.

We used Solo through one of the specials. The crew arrived on time. They were skeptical about being able to get everything done in the allotted time, but they did! My husband was more than pleased with the results We highly recommend Solo Landscape.

Arrived promptly. I went over my long list of bushes to trim, etc. They went right to work. I was amazed they were able to finish in the time I had booked. Cleaned up very well.
