Solo Landscape

The inclement and unpredictable weather was a factor in the B grade for punctuality. They were due to be here between 10 AM - 12 N. He called around 11:00 AM to let me know they were running behind and it would be around 2 PM before they could be here. It was 4 PM before the first crew arrived. They did a very nice job and were finished by 5 PM. The second crew that vacs up the leaves didn't arrive until around 7 PM since they had to make an unexpected extra trip to unload leaves. In spite of working after dark, they did a nice job and the crew for both jobs were very nice and accommodating. This is a great recycling/composting idea and I liked not having 50 bags of leaves awaiting city pickup on the street for what is typically 7-10 days. It's a noisy process of vac'ing up the leaves and doing that part from 7-8 PM after folks get home was inconsiderate on my part. I will definitely schedule early enough to be the first on the list next year so it doesn't push the process into the evening. Although not excessive, this was the highest price I've ever paid for leaf removal but I will use this company again unless the price increases. The concept is great and the folks were all very nice.

Patrick responded immediately. He returned my call promptly and was able to squeeze in the leaf removal today. Patrick went above and beyond satisfaction service. The yard looks great. Thank you Patrick for your efforts and hardwork. I did not rate professionalism because I did not meet Patrick. I was not at home at the time. However, his work speaks for itself.

Patrick did a good job for us, and was very helpful with his suggestions for plant material and placement. As part of his quote, he provided photos of plants we had discussed as possibilities during his initial visit, and this greatly assisted us in making our decisions. He was prompt, efficient, and knowledgeable. A couple of issues came up during his work and after his completion, and Patrick was very professional and pleasant in rectifying them to our satisfaction.

and they did not waste sod and time getting the job accomplished. We are very pleased with this company and highly recommend them to our friends. They are what they say they are...good at their job. Patrick is a local boy and has pride in taking a few extra minutes to do the job right the first time.

The crew arrived at our house while my husband and I were working and were finished by the time we got home. All of the leaves were bagged and on the curb waiting for our weekly city pickup. The yard looks so neat and clean that it makes me wonder why my husband and I ever raked the leaves ourselves. Later that evening I received a text from Patrick checking if the job met our expectations. I appreciated that he took the time to follow up with us. I am very satisfied with the results! We have already contacted them again for a bid on other landscaping needs.

It went very well. The day I contacted them, Patrick showed up at the house at the end of the day to complete a quote (while other companies called me back 3 or 4 days later). I said "Let's go for it" and they were scheduled to arrive within 5 days. The crew was Patrick himself, four general labor guys, and a fellow business partner who led the install on the sprinkler system. They were quick, professional, worked hard the entire time, and created a great landscape setup. The majority of the expense was around the bushes and shrubs, of which over 40 new plants went in, and so I knew I got a great price. I stuck around the whole day and asked for certain tweaks or things to be done and the whole team went right with it with no hassle at all. Overall a great experience, and will certainly use them again in the future.

Patrick was extremely responsive to what I wanted and worked with me on the plan. He came out on multiple occasions to help troubleshoot some lighting issues.

Landscaping looks great. Patrick and his crew arrived promptly and finished the job in the timefram that we had discussed. Will definately consider using solo landscape again fo rfuture landscaping and maintanence work.

Everything went very well. Mr. Nelius, the owner of Solo Landscaping was prompt during all the process from coming out to discuss the project, providing an estimate and the completion of the work. He and his crew were always professional. They were willing to volunteer information as well as answer questions. In fact, I am having them do additional work.

they cut the yards every two weeks. they always arrive on day expected unless weather interferes. they do good job of cleaning up afterwards. price is reasonable. if i need to contact owner, i text him and responds quickly

I contacted Patrick on 8/1 to put my 2 acres on his schedule for the following week. He sent me a message the day he was coming out asking the height I wanted my grass cut and said his crew would be there at 4:00pm on 8/9. At 4:00 pm sharp his crew was pulling into my driveway just as I was leaving to run errands. I was on my way back home, about an hour later, and pasted a Solo Landscaping truck getting fuel at a gas station not far from my house. To my amazement, it was the crew that had been at my house. They had finished edging, trimming, and cutting my entire 2 acres within 1 hour. Now that's what I call service! I have hired yard work done in the past and the guys had spent all day if not several days working the 2 acres. No home owner wants to listen to lawn equipment for hours and hours or 2 or 3 days! Kudos to Solo Landscaping and his AWESOME crew! No complaints, one or two limbs were missed, and maybe a spot or 2 missed during mowing, but nothing I would consider a reason to complain..

They did a great job. I would use them again. UPDATE: 5 of my bushes have died. Patrick has said he will only replace one since he believes the others dies due to a sprinkler issue... A sprinkler system we contracted HIM to do with his uncle (Jerry Cook). We had no contact with Jerry because he would not return our calls/texts. Patrick was **very condescending** when I asked him if he would take responsibility for the plants that died due to a faulty sprinkler installation. The answer was no and he blamed the broken sprinkler on me saying he was trying to do it on the cheap since I didn't want to pay much (WHAT??? I spent over $3000 on my landscaping.... I would definitely pay a few hundred extra to keep it alive!). The plant that he did say he would replace he claims he ordered for me on September 6th. It is October 31st and he is avoiding my attempts to get in touch with him. After the amount of money we spent with him, it is a shame Solo landscaping will not guarantee their work or follow-through with replacing the little they will guarantee. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND SOLO LANDSCAPING AND WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. I would be more than happy to discuss my review with anybody interested in using this company: ljomyrtle at gmail dot com

Patrick responded promptly to my call, came out and priced the job and then set a time to do the work. They tilled the area, laid the sod and also trimmed some trees. I am very happy with the work and would definitely use him again.

The plantings around my house were overgrown, unattractive, and a maintenance issue. I contacted Patrick with a request for proposal, and he came out very quickly to see what I wanted to do. He is a very good listener, and he based his proposal on my requests. I wanted landscaping that was low maintenance with color and fragrance that would not become overgrown for the scale of the house. My house does not have gutters, and we discussed how to best landscape the beds without the washout problem I had been experiencing. He came up with a proposal, we tweaked it as we went along, and it turned out great. Generally, he put in plants that are of reasonable size while being reasonably priced. He put in a few large expensive shrubs that eliminated that "new landscaping" look of bareness. The plantings are interesting in that the height varies, there has been color every day since, and the back yard is fragrant. I got everything that I originally requested! He placed a gravel bed next to the foundation on two sides of the house, and this has eliminated the washout problem that I had. Now I don't have to clean gutters, and my beds look good without washout, even after a heavy rain. A real win/win for me! I wanted someone who would provide quality work and solutions for my unique problems, and I was confident from the start that he would work with me to resolve these issues. He agreed that he would work the plan until I was happy, and he followed through. I have had a couple of small issues with plants since he did the work, and he has been very responsive when I contacted him. In summary, he might be considered by some to be a bit high in his pricing, but he did very high quality work that resolved my problems, gave me the landscaping I wanted, and he was a pleasure to work with on this project. His employees are courteous, prompt, and hardworking. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone, and if the need arises, I will use him again.

Excellent service provider. We contacted Patrick regarding cleaning up our yard and within a day he had come out to our property, walked around with my wife, and provided us a detailed quote with his recommendations for cleanup and improvement. He was kind enough to allow us to even pay over time if we wanted. The job was then scheduled within a few days and his crew came out and worked very hard. The work was done quickly, professionally, and the end product was perfect. I would highly recommend this company for anyone in the area looking for a landscaping company.

patrick was great; a little pricey,but he really did a great job. He had to grind 6 tree stump,remove a patio/walkway; level the yard and sod the yard with zoysia. He also planted several hedges ;provided 3 yards of compost and mulch. Patrick is very professional,and surely knows his stuff. I would recommend Solo Landscaping to all my friends

Very well. The crew leader was courteous and answered my questions. Patrick followed up with me regarding the finished product and visually checked to ensure the sod was in good shape.

I like the owner a lot although I was slightly disappointed with the work his crew did; but they are going to make it better. We have the backyard replanting already scheduled with them.

They were great! When I called about information, Patrick called me back within the day. He was very friendly and informative. I have 2 mastiffs in a separate cage in the backyard and two ducks, and they were more than helpful with working around them. They came out as scheduled and did a wonderful job with all the yard work! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fast and efficient yard service.

VERY SATISFIED! Needed an area of my yard 'done over'. None of the existing plants or shrubs were healthy looking and just didn't go together. I have tried years to 'Do It Myself' and the yard just looked like it. I looked up Solo Landscape from Angie's List and according to reviews placed here, I called and got Patrick out here for an estimate. He was very prompt getting here and in no time he laid out a plan that didn't cost a bizzilion dollars but would have the yard looking mature and beautiful.

The work as I mentioned above has turned out beautifully. Overall, it took a couple of weeks, which we expected due to the weather and the amount of sod (and other plants to be ordered and received) we needed. It was definitely an excellent experience.

Patrick was fantastic to work with. He and his crew finished nearly the entire project in one day, including extra tasks that I had not originally asked for (for minimal cost.). Everyone who worked on my project was friendly and professional. The landscaping and lighting look beautiful, and from the curb, my house now looks brand new. There were a couple of minor cleanup issues, but Patrick has done a great job of keeping in touch with me via phone, text, and e-mail, and has followed up with me several times to make sure I am pleased and that every issue gets resolved. This was my first time dealing with a large landscaping project like this, and it's hard to imagine how this experience could have gone any better. I highly recommend using Patrick and his team at Solo Landscape, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

Very pleased with this company. They provided the best landscape plan and their estimated price was the best I received. The work was done very well and the plants appear to be thriving. They also offered to mow the lawn at a better price than I was currently paying.

Patrick was very quick to return my email and set up a time for him to come by and give me an estimate. I had a lot i wanted done. He was prompt and didnt seem hurried while here...listened to everything i wanted done and made me feel confident he could do the job...within a day or so, he emailed me back with a detailed breakdown of everything and the charge. The work was done within a week and it all looks great. I am very pleased with everything and Patrick is so easy to work with!
