Derryberry's Heat & Air

This is the 1st time I've used this company. My A/C stopped working yesterday evening so I called them today at 7:30am & they were here by noon, just like they said they would be. I'm a happy customer and I definitely recommend this company!

My air unit was not able to adequately cool my house and I had been told by one company that the issue was the size of my unit and by another that the issue was the size of my ductwork. I got several quotes and really liked the professionalism and easy explanations provided by DerryBerry. The quote was several thousand less expensive than a couple of others and required less work. The installation was done just as explained and the unit has been great. I bought the same size unit and didn't need to have any ductwork done. My only surprise was that I never received a follow-up call from DerryBerry after the installation to see how everything was working. I guess I would have called to complain if there had been any issues, and there have not. I would definitely use them again.

Technician was on time and extremely courteous and professional. Handled all of the work very thoroughly and answered all of our questions. Would not hesitate to use them again!

They did everything they said they would do and they were very efficient. We found out another problem and they fixed that. They showed up on time and finished when they said they would. They were reputable and stood behind their products. They gave me a 10-year warranty. They were super nice people.

They came highly recommended to me, I had several positive references on them. They do quality work, and I am pleased with the unit that I have got here.

I requested a bid to replace my split heat pump. They provided a pomp response; however, their price was higher than I wanted to spend. I accepted a bid from another installer using different brand equipment.

Woke up to 5 degrees outside, and heat not working inside. Called Derryberry at 6:30AM, and left a voice mail. At aprox 7:15, I got a return call, explained the problem, and was told we would be the first service call that morning, and that someone would arrive between 8:00 and 8:30. Just before 8:30, Tim showed up, and very quickly diagnosed the problem. He fixed it, and showed us how to prevent a reoccurence during freezing weather. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, prompt, and courteous. Would definately use this company again.

We called after 5PM with the problem. By 6PM the next day, they had come, diagnosed the problem, driven to the wholesaler for the new parts, and fixed our a/c/heat

From the initial quotation process through the installation of the HVAC system, the Derryberry team was FIRST CLASS in every regard. Exceptionally efficient at not only removal of the old system but preparation and installation of the new equipment. Kept us informed at each step and thoroughly cleaned up and tested the system with us present to ensure everything was ready to go.

They came on time, were careful not to track up the house, spent time explaining things. Very high quality. Recommend without reservation.

There is nothing that has happened with them that would make me to believe that they are not close to being perfect in their field.

I called and the repair person was at my house within 10 minutes. I was extremely impressed with the response time. He diagnosed the problems, and told me my options. He cleaned the unit and replaced the coolant which was about half of the repair bill. Within about an hour of calling, my AC was cooling again. I called in late in the day not expecting to see anyone until the next morning, and was amazed to get an immediate return call, and see a service person almost within minutes. In this day and age, many companies seem to have forgotten about what good customer service means. These folks do. I highly recommend them.

They showed up on the same day as the call. It took them 15 minutes to find the problem. They replaced the part on the spot and came back 4 hours later to make sure it was working fine.

It was great. We had estimates from 3 companies and they have the best estimate. Our air conditioning system that we currently had with before, they had a schedule to install our new system. They came out and got it running and made sure it ran. They had to drill big wells in your yard and it’s a complicated process. They had the air conditioner running for us at no charge until they had to do an install. They went above and beyond. They were the most professional when they did the estimate and the most willing to answer our questions and make sure that everything was done right. The part of the package when we purchased it includes 3 years of free service. So they would service it every year at no charge. They did a great job. They are just great. It was worth it that they were willing to add of the extras for the job.

Were very professional and showed up when they said they would. Ultimately, got a cheaper price and was very satisfied with another company but would get bid and consider for work in the future.

Derryberry is a very professional company that is locally owned and operated. They were on time, professional and completed the two jobs on time. Not much more too say, they did what I needed and what I expected. I would definitely use them for any future jobs.

We had our regular annual maintenance (different company) and they told us both HVAC units - downstairs combo unit and upstairs a/c unit - would need replacing due to corosion. They were only 6 years old! With a 5-year warranty. The company gave us an estimate. I looked at Consumer Reports online to research different HVAC unit quality, then searched Angie's List for another company to give us an estimate. That's where I found and called Derryberry. They came out the next day. They spent much more time on their estimate work, and noted that if we wanted a larger a/c unit for the upstairs, they'd need to enlarge the upstairs air return, otherwise the new unit wasn't going to cool any more efficiently. The other company had not noted that. Derryberry's estimate came in only slightly lower than the other company's, but their units are better quality and with a 10-year warranty, plus they had taken the time to note the size of the air return, which spoke well of their thoroughness. I am writing this review belately so don't remember how many days after that they came to do the work, but it was not any later that we'd wanted. On the day they did the work, they were on time, polite, worked hard, and had the whole job done by mid-afternoon. They cleaned up thoroughly.

Great job, could not be happier. Replaced everything, tested and cleaned up all for a better price than their competition.

It went very well. The serviceman fixed my unit in a timely mannor. He was professional, and also took the time to show me how to prevent further repairs by showing me how I can clean my unit and when to replace filters and what kind of filters to buy. He not only fixed my unit but also educated me on how I can do small things myself to prevent and further costly repairs and keep my unit running better. I was very satisfied.

Provider was called due to Heat Pump not maintaining house temperature below 85 with 100+ degrees outside. They were there within a couple of hours and unit was found with a freon leak and almost no freon left. The unit was restored to service by charging it with freon and was told it would need repair/replacement. While conversing with provider on different options of repair/replacement, they asked if temperature was fairly even throughout the house and the response for this was NO. The provider setup and performed a ductwork inspection and found several duct connections inadequately sealed in the house crawlspace. A number of options were provided and we decided that rather than repair the seven year old Heat Pump and have the duct connections resealed at an estimate of approximately $4000, we opted to have a new higher efficiency (10 Yr warranty) Trane Heat Pump installed for approximately $6000 and the sealing of the duct connections was thrown in as part of the new unit installation.We couldn't be more pleased with the overall experience.The only observed opportunity for improvement would be in the provider's internal group/individual communications. The person installing the new heat pump wasn't aware of the the work of sealing the duct connections and ended up coming back to perform that work.

We have done business with them for 30 years through our church. We have had a lot of experience with them. They are honest to deal with and dependable. They do a good job and you can call them for an emergency. They are a well established business here.
