Derryberry charged us $89 to tell us it would cost $2000 to fix the unit or $7000 to replace it. I called another company and they came out and fixed the problem for $800. The only things wrong were the the condensation drain was stopped up which they fixed by installing a pump in the pan and the coils needed to be cleaned in the unit. They also checked and cleaned our other 2 units. Companies like Derryberrys try to take advantage of people by being dishonest and overcharging. I will be sure to let others know about this! I will use Jaypro hvac in the future.

They did a great job, are honest, and their prices are very good. They know what they are doing and are very professional. We would highly recommend them and we would definitely hire them again.

I cannot express my gratitude to Derryberry’s Air and Heating of Gallatin. We found them online through Angie’s List and we checked reviews there and on Yelp. We purchased our new home prior to completing the sale of our old one. My husband moved into our new (previously owned but vacant) home and found that the HVAC was inoperable in the middle of the Polar Vortex winter weather system. We received several estimates, and Derryberry’s was not he cheapest, but their expertise, thoroughness, quality of the equipment, and willingness to work with my husband (a talented DIYer) made them our first choice. These guys knew their business. From the initial estimate meeting, to the scheduling and installation, everything went smoothly, as promised, no surprises, etc. They completely tore out the old heat pump and venting system, installed ALL new venting runs, upgraded gas lines (we changed from electric to propane) insulated all venting and installed a wireless thermostat, condenser, ION air purifier and HVAC. They cleaned up daily (this was a BIG project) and discussed all installation parameters or changes with my husband prior to doing anything. We liked the quality of their services so much, that we just had them return to quote us a secondary unit for an upstairs bonus room and zoned AC system for an enclosed solarium. My husband said that each of the workers, said goodbye and shook his hand each day upon leaving. Little things count. Thorough, honest, quality service providers. Thank you.

Derryberry's was polite and helpful throughout our renovation process. They had to install new ductwork in a very small crawlspace and through the attic during the renovation of a very old home. Highly recommend!

We were very pleased. The pricing and the warranty that they gave us were both better than another company that we had checked with for the exact same product. They completed the installation in a very satisfactory manner so we were very happy with their service. My husband dealt with them, he was very please and he is very picky. The installation went very smoothly. They were definitely there on time. Yes, I would absolutely use them again. They arrived on time and did what they were supposed to do. They did what they said they were going to do, sometimes that doesn’t always happen.

They were very good. They were good and they seemed like they really knew what they were doing. They didn't try to oversell anything. We would use them again. The price was very reasonable. We didn't have any problem with it. Everything was right in line with what it should have been. They knew what they were doing.

My husband and I came home from our vacation and two days later the AC unit was on the fritz. We immediately called Derryberry & their technician was at our house within 90 minutes (it was July & they were backed up!) Great service and within minutes we felt cool air again. Will be using them for all of our HVAC needs.

I am very impressed with this company. Ethan was exceptionally friendly, professional, and detailed. He explained everything, and thoroughly checked both my furnace and air conditioner. A small problem was detected, which was fixed at a very reasonable price compared with what other companies charge. It is very hard to find honest, reliable companies anymore, and I am very grateful to have found Derryberry's Heat and Air.

I contacted the business at 7:30 am the Friday before the July 4th weekend, they were at my home with a few hours. They quickly found the problem and fixed the issue. I will definitely call them again.

I have and old unit that I could not afford to replace. The unit was checked and repaired. When I do replace my unit, Derryberry would be the first I would call.

They were very professional. They arrived on time and explained the process in detail. They were very thorough and took the time to answer questions without hesitation. The HVAC install went well. I can now experience a cool and comfortable home with my new system. I am very impressed with the workmanship and I would hire them again.

One person came out for about 30 minutes. He cleaned my air conditioning unit, and checked my filter to make sure my air conditioning was blowing out cold air. He left the area very clean.

My heating unit is like 30 years old. Everyone that came out to look at our heating unit told us that we had to have a whole new heating/air unit. Derryberry came out the first time and said that it just needed one little bitty part and because that it was so old it would take them two or three days to get the part. He made the call, and got the part that afternoon and came back fixed it and we have been with him ever since. We had one company come out and say that our unit was shot and we needed a whole new unit. Another company came out and said the motor was burned up and we couldn't get one, so we needed a whole new unit. Finally they were the fifth ones that came out and he put thing on and said it was one little thing no bigger than a match stick. So he got it, he guaranteed it and said he would make it right. He said he was positive that I would have another 4-5 years out of my system and that I would still need another one shortly, and I have not needed it yet. They offer honesty.

They have been wonderful. They know what they are doing, no guess work.

A rental duplex was having insanely high electric bills. We called an electrician first (see Barnes Electric, another wonderful company) and he determined it was likely a problem with the heating system. He referred us to Derryberry who was able to send someone out the next day. I wasn't able to be there but he called me and explained each step he had taken, giving me an overall report. He determined the problem was in the ducts and he texted me photos to help his explanation. He also did an overall check of the HVAC system. He then arranged for a duct guy from the company who came and explained what problems he saw and gave a recommendation for next steps.

I was in the market for a natural gas standup forced-air furnace and air-conditioning package. I got on Angies' List and looked at the recommended installer/dealers and called the top two local ones and had them come out and give me an estimate. I had also done some research on brands of equipment on my own and the top two sold and installed both those brands. Derryberry had a sales rep call me back in about a half an hour and was at my house in about 3 hours. Along with a Lowes rep who I was financing through, they went over my old system, measured and counted the number of openings, looked at my insulation, inspected my wiring outside and in and gas evacuation system very thoroughly. Then they sat down with me and gave me 3 different options based on price point, efficiency and life of the equipment. There was no high pressure to pick one over the other. I picked the middle choice that gave me a 2 stage fan which was more efficient and would help save some energy cost. After we agreed they ordered the equipment where back for the install 5 days later. I think they called me 3 times before they got there to make sure everything was ok for them to come. I appreciated that attention to detail. They got to the house at 8:30 that morning with everything they needed, two installers and my salesman. They had everything in and working by 8pm that night. I was very impressed as to how professional the installers were and their attention to every detail. After the units were installed they did several air flow test at my return air duct to make sure there was the proper air movement for the house. I think they made a few adjustments to the fan. The installation very neat and professional. In a about 2 weeks I received my warranty registration in the mail that they had filed on my behalf with the manufacturer and their own detailed installer warranty as well. Derryberry will now always be my hvac company. I highly recommend them to everyone.

Orry and Ethan did a great job they were very courteous, punctual and explained everything they did, showed us a worn out wire that would have probably caused a service call in near future which they replaced in addition to overall great experience. They even washed the unit down on the outside when finished. Would definitely recommend this company and we originally only scheduled them for a winter tune up but after we seen the work they did we upgraded to the yearly service agreement.

I contacted Derryberry's to get an estimate for replacing my old HVAC unit. They were very polite and actually we able to have someone come out the same day. Charles Brady was great. He did a thorough review of my situation and wrote up a great estimate on two Trane HVAC units (14SEER & 16SEER). Their price was very reasonable and less than $100 from the lowest price I got from the eventual contractor I awarded the job to. I would have been very comfortable going with Derryberry's and it actually came down to our previous history with the other contractor that was the decisive factor. I would highly recommend Derryberry's and will keep them on my short list if I ever have an issue with my current contractor. Great experience.

This company was fantastic. We noticed water condensation from the attic overflow and both AC units at our recently purchased home. I think we called Derryberry on the hottest day of the year and they promised to get someone out to diagnose by late afternoon even though they had numerous other calls. By mid-afternoon the temperature in the house was over 94 degrees. Bruce came out and did a diagnosis and was very professional and informative. The next day, Chris came and replaced a broken breaker box, flushed the system of both units, and inspected the system for any other problems. Both service techs were professional, kind, and informative. They both had a sense of urgency, a can-fix attitude, and didn't take our sweaty situation as an opportunity to over-charge/sell us items not needed. Chris even spent a few minutes speaking directly to the insurance adjuster (house still under warranty) about his work. A great company and I looking forward to having them do our maintenance in the future.

My A/C stopped working, I got several quotes from different companies. Derryberry came out same day gave quote, and could do the work next day with no pressure to buy. They were almost thousand dollars cheaper then other companies. I ended up choosing Derryberry. The workers came on time, were very polite. I asked them if they could check the ductwork in the crawl space, without any hesitation, they did. I would definitely use them again.
