Description of Work: I needed a cabinet door made, and some trim work. He asked to borrow an existing cabinet door, and drawer front to match up. Well after a week |I called and left a message. Another week goes by I call back and left another message. I called a couple more time that week and I finally got a hold of him. He said he was having trouble finding the cabinet door and said he would call me back in a couple of days. Well a week goes by so I call him again and left a message. He calls me right back and said he can't get the cabinet door, so I ask him to return cabinet door and drawer front after another week he returns the door an drawer front. The cabinet door now has 8" scratch all the way to the wood. The drawer front has an 1/2 inch chip out of it. I have no Idea how to fix these. |Would never use the company ever, and am thinking of dropping out of Angie's List.

If they dropped out of Angieslist it would be a blessing for Angieslist providers. Very strange couple I took a drawer face and door to try to match for them I went to two or three cabinet shops I work with. Nobody had the right cutters which is what I notified him about I told him they said a shop in Madison may be able to duplicate them. This was not a money making job. I spent a lot of my time and personal expense trying to help them match drawer face and door simply to install on face of dishwater Without looking back at my notes I believe his time frame and so called damage is a bunch of crap Like I said this was not a money making job I put time and effort in to trying to help them and based on the time I spent with them I new they were not the type of people I should get involved with but they contacted me so I wanted to help I dropped off the door and drawer face after receiving a panic voice mail from him telling me that his wife is going to have a coronary if she doesn't get them back. This didn't surprise me. They were very strange So I never went to Madison to see if that recommended shop could duplicate them. Instead I drove to there house and dropped them off Trying to help them was a total waste of my time. The damage statement and time factor is highly exaggerated

Description of Work: Final pricing was never completed. Provider was taking too long to work through different options. After a while communications with provider simply trailed off and stopped. I haven't heard from him since. I eventually found another provider

This was a long time ago. I went to look at job and kept sending information and options to him. After awhile he simply stopped replying which led me to believe that he had hired another contractor. All he needed to do was pick up his phone and call me to let me know he was still interested in working with me. This is a totally unjustifiable negative review

When [Member name removed] excepted my bid I told him it would be best if I start ASAP as I had a lot of projects lined up. He wanted to wait and it was a long wait Once I started he made no mention of time frame or a deadline. He would e mail me after I left and ask if I would be back the next week , not the next day but the next week. This became somewhat of a pattern with no complaining or reference to time frame. Job ways not easy. Bathroom walls and floor were in rough shape. Selected big tiles were very difficult to work with I totally gutted one bath. Did lots of electrical, plumbing, wall and floor tiles , painting , installing vanity and commode Installed two shower glass doors etc. Did a lot of work in another bathroom as well My schedule was also based on the availability of Walt' s boyfriend I could not get an early start and I had to shut down when he had to leave There was no mention of time frame for most of the job It was a very complicated job Very time consuming he always e mailed me and asked if I would be back in a week or so. , not the next day. Obviously I felt no pressure to dedicate all my time to his project He was well aware of the fact that I had other projects going on We were not really messy We always did a basic clean up Walt started to get overly picky going out of his way to find things to complain about. One example would be an e mail complaining about thin set mortar on his front storm door Next time we went ther I checked it out and had to point it out to my helper. There was a very small amount of mortar residue from us going in and out. One swipe of a rag and it was gone This job did not go very smooth but we gave him a good finished product I apologized to [Member name removed] and thanked them for their patience All in all. they were nice guys and I did everything [Member name removed] requested I am sure they are as happy as I am that the job is completed If [Member name removed] requested a time frame I am sure I would have done my best to obligate him There was no reference to completion date or time frame

Actually,I did show up.I spent at least 4 hours of "free" time at Doug's house when I could have been working on my current job at the time.I looked at work he needed done and told him that it was not enough work to cover the 8 hours he paid for. We then proceeded to look at other projects that could be done ,most of which were electrical. we roamed thru his whole house including a few trips up into the attic.In fact I fixed an electrical problem on his pop up vent on his kitchen stove. We also spent about 45 minuets discussing his personal situations. [removed members name] said he would contact me with times he would be available,which he did. He then contacted me again saying that he would not be available on one of those dates that would have worked for me. I contacted him and said that we would need to make contact in the near future to discuss other available times, In his next correspondents he said that I must be to busy and that he was using another contractor. That was the last time we communicated

I don't know what happened with this situation. [member name removed] information first showed up on August 26th. I responded on that same day August 26th. There is no more correspondents from [member name removed] on my Angieslist site. I checked my business site mail (inbox and sent mail)[email address removed] and I cannot find any messages sent from [member name removed] to me or from me to [member name removed]. I don't recall ever receiving or sending a phone call to [member name removed]. Some how this project got lost in the shuffle. Sorry [member name removed] Like every other contractor I have been slammed with work. Somehow we lost contact I have checked all of my e mails (inbox and sent mail) at [hyperlink removed]

Description of Work: Bob didnt seem to want the job and seemed overwhelmed. After taking the time to send pics, per his request, via email and text, I never heard back. After requesting refund from Angies list, I got an email saying he never got pics and to call him. I prefer a refund at this time.

Description of Work: Completely replaced my carpet with vinyl flooring that looked like hardwood floors. There was no crew it was just one man. (I ended up hiring my brother to help him) Overall he did a good job. But, I had to find and order all the flooring myself & dispose of all the old carpet myself. Being a single woman, this was not easy. Also, after asking repeatedly for invoices and receipts, I never received either one. I basically wrote a check every few days for work that was done, but, never got a receipt. I do not recommend using this service.

Let me set the record straight. First of all I did that job six months ago. [member name removed] has my pricing that was included in my e-mails. She also has proof of payment and total amount paid from the checks she wrote out for me. She purchased the material so there was no invoices. In the past six months I have not received any request for information. I have help available at all times. [member name removed] told me her brother was broke and unemployed and upset because she was hiring me to do the work. She asked me if he could help me and I agreed to that. We worked well together. Instead of paying me for rubbish removal [member name removed] decided to have her brothers make dump runs. After looking at her project.I suggested that she may want to use Allure flooring because she was afraid her dogs would destroy a wood floor. I showed her a sample and told her it was a Home Depot product and that it would be cheaper for her to buy it on line than at the store and that's what she did.It was delivered right to her door.Soon after ordering it she left me an early morning voice mail saying she was "freaking out" I told her that if we were going to do this job there would be no "freaking out" allowed.At one point early on she wanted me to pick out tile and flooring for her because she trusted me . I told her I couldn't make that decision for her but I would work with her ,which I did.She was very pleased with the finished product and paid me in full and she has proof and the total amount paid Six months later,instead of contacting me requesting information she decides to post an unjust review to soil my reputation and my means of providing for my family. I guess [member name removed] must have "freaked out" again.In truth I liked [member name removed] and her brother.I don't know why she chose to vent her anger,or whatever at me.

They did good work and completed on time. I prefer not to disclose the amount that I spent on their services. They have good workmanship and they’re punctual too. They’re helpful and very competent.

Everything was good. He showed up on time, and we feel that the price was good, seemed fair. It is one of the better paint jobs I have ever seen in any home we have owned. It is phenomenal. He cut the edges in by hand and no paint ended up on the ceiling. He is very clean, wears shoe covers. Very courteous. We will definitely use him again, as we are planning to redo our kitchen.
Description of Work: We hired to do handyman work, including electrical, moving fixtures, changing boxes in walls, painting, he refenced the backyard, and installed new hardwood flooring.

Bob was a great partner every step of the way. He suggested money-saving tile outlets, gave me clear estimates and stuck to them, found ways around difficult problems, communicated with me proactively, and performed excellent work. Bob's experience with carpentry, plumbing, and tiling served him well in taking charge of these complex projects. He also helped me out of multiple jams. When my water heater broke, he installed a new one in two days for far less than a big-box store. When I locked myself out of my apartment (twice), he dropped what he was doing and drove over to let me in both times. I now have two quality, great-looking bathrooms and a reliable handyman to call on for future projects.
Description of Work: I had two (small) full bathrooms to renovate: removing the old tubs, putting in tile and new showers and tubs. I selected and bought most of the supplies myself; Bob provided advice and performed the installation. A new tile shower in one bathroom, a new fiberglass tub in the other, new tile floors and walls (including a tricky tile niche in bathroom #2), toilets, and sinks in both. The project also involved some electrical work and the installation of the bathroom fixtures.
