Offie called to remind me a day or two in advance of my HVAC appointment. Tech arrived 15 minutes early. Tech was neatly dressed, more than friendly and curtious, explained any and all issues as he found them and explained the issue(s) and charge(s) to repair/replace parts and gave me the choice to do the work or not and his suggestions. I was additionally given choices that would help save me money on my overall bill, rather than all charges being al-a-cart adding up. This is NO fly-by-night outfit. This is a comapny that prides themselves on quality of work NOT quantity and NOT racking the bill up to make a buck !!! The Tech David was more than thorough and was at my home SIX + HOURS(2+hours per unit) and I WAS MORE THAN BESIDE MYSELF AT THE LEVEL OF DETAIL AND CARE HE TOOK TO MAKE SURE ALL 3 OF MY TRANE SYSTEMS WERE WORING OPTIMALLY.

Prompt, polite, good work. Minor billing issue (because of our mistake) was quickly and easily addressed. Will plan to use them for future work.

Dropped my 2 units off at their office and later in the day I had my results. Friendly and courteous staff!

They explained everything and made sure we understood.

The service I paid for was NOT received. I need to be refunded the full amount! So called discount was a scam.

Purchased an Angie's List special offer for a tune-up on AC. Called Mid-State a week or two later and made the appointment. I believe they scheduled it about 2-weeks from the time we called. They technician was punctual and through. He checked everything out, cleaned the coils, made sure debris was cleaned out around the condensing unit and that the filter was clean. He was very polite and professional. He did leave info for their Service Club Membership and explained it all, but didn't hard sell too much.

The experience was good. The two gentlemen came and moved throughout the house. The went to each vent, removed the cover did whatever it is they do & put the cover back on. They were neat about their work and left very minimal cleanup behind. As they were leaving, they provided me with some advice on my current HVAC system. I did not really notice a difference in the dust level after they were done (the main reason I bought the deal) but that could possibly have more to do with the acient HVAC systemI have than the results of their work.

They cleaned my units and checked it out It found a couple of problems and since i have worked on units in the past i made the repairs. For them to do it it would of been more and a lot more than what i could do it for. I would use them again.

I saw a Groupon for the company and they came out and preformed the work. They were professional, did their work and left. Very pleased with their service.

A very good experience....I used Angie's List to narrow my choices, and was very glad that I chose Mid-State. Everyone is professional, personable, and knowledgeable. The 'comfort advisor,' Chris, was great, and spent several hours at the house to evaluate conditions and size the equipment properly. The techs worked into the evening to get things done (and made sure I had a/c before departing on Day 1!). The owner, Robert, called me after the installation was complete to make sure everything went as planned and to my satisfaction. My new a/c is cooler and the new furnace looks like it was installed by professionals (the old unit was propped up on bricks and dirt).

The duct cleaning went well and I was impressed by the flexibility and range of tools used. I asked to see the inside of a main return as they opened it up and they graciously explained what I was seeing. I stayed awhile to see how the cleaning proceeded and appreciated that opportunity to get a feel for the process and benefit. I was sufficiently impressed to indicate I feel comfortable calling on them again.

I have home warranty and I went with them and not these people because it was cheaper. I had a special from Angie’s List as well and they did the check up for free. They were very nice people and they put these things on their shoes to make sure they didn’t bring anything into the house. I didn’t have any problem with them at all. I am a new home owner and I just didn’t want to pay that kind of money. The air condition system that I had were really old but for my money right now the home warranty did a lot better for me.

The ducts hadn't been cleaned in the home for a long time, at least since 1999. Since it was a rental property for the last few years, it wasn't an issue - until we (the owners) decided to move in! Roger was very pleasant and professional to speak to. I was also pleased that he was able to meet my schedule - I only gave him about a week's notice to get the job done! The technicians called prior to heading to our house, just like Roger & I agreed on. We were a little surprised when they came to where we live now, instead of the home that needed the cleaning before we move in. Good-naturedly, they let us re-direct them the short distance to the service address,and got to work. When I went to the house after work, I was so pleased at what I saw. Peering into the vents that previously were covered with so much funk that you couldn't see the silver of the line - were sparkling clean. I think I heard about a toddler's shoe that was found - YUK! We had new hardwood floors & carpet put in a few days earlier - so it really wasn't your "average job". And there wasn't a bunch of extra dust in the house either - other than the clean vents, there was no trace they had been in the house. With new renovations in place - that's important. Overall, I am pleased with Roger Clark & his team that provide this service. I have "hay fever" allergies - and my daughter does too, so the air quality in a home is important to me. I feel safer now, knowing that the system is as clean as it is before we move in to our new home! Thanks again Mid-State Heating & Air Conditioning! Get ready to get busy - cause I'm telling all my friends how great you are!

Very satisfied, no complaints. I will probably use them this fall for the furnace.

It went well. Technician arrived on time, performed a very thorough inspection of HVAC unit. He cleaned both units, checked electrical connections, changed filters, etc. I have his card and will ask for the same technician in the future.

Thomas came out to give me an estimate on a whole-house dehumidification system. He took time to measure the humidity going into our current HVAC and the humidity coming back out of it. He showed excellent understanding of not only the operation of our cooling system, but also the dynamics of our home (where the moisture is coming from). He gave me great suggestions on how to work on controlling the humidity without a dehumidifier, and was simply awesome. Although it turns out that we don't need a dehumidifier, all of my business is going to MidState in the future. We have been through a long reconstruction process and this was by far the most pleasant and informative experience I have had to date.

Very impressed with their professional knowledge and demeanor. Could not have been nicer to deal with from start to finish. Pricing fair but not discount.

In the middle of a bad heat wave my AC stopped cooling the house, causing temperatures to get as high as 83 degrees inside at night! I was lucky to have found this company, as they sent someone out on Sunday to help. The receptionist even told me about a coupon that I could use for a discount on the service. The repair man checked everything thoroughly and refilled the freon. To my relief, the next day the temperature stayed comfortale all day.

Was working properly and called this company for 2nd opion. They said they would do that for free. After the first company said I needed all this stuff done to get it fixed. Mid State told me all I needed was freon. I asked them about that other stuff the other company said I needed and he said he didn't see any of that was necassary. I will write bad review of the other company.

It went excellent. I would use them again and recommend them to anybody. They did a good job.

On a Friday night, we came home from work with no air conditioning. I called on Saturday morning and they were able to schedule me a techician to come to the house between 2 and 4pm. One of the things that drew me to mid state was that they do not have after hours or weekend increased rates. I had also called Temp Control and they were going to charge me $110 just to send a technician out to the house. A technician came out to the house and found that the board in our furnace was broken. After just spending $600 last summer on the system, we had to decide to spend the $1000 again, or replace the whole system. They gave us all the options and sent out Chris to the house who performed a load estimate to give us a true picture of the size unit we needed and how much the new system would cost. He performed the free estimate and spent a couple of hours with us answering all of my questions. Ultimately, we decided on replacing the AC portion, but leaving the furnace as is and also having the air ducts cleaned at the same time, which is recommended. They came out on Monday with that plan in place, but we were told the sales person had misunderstood where the problem was which was in the furnace part of the system. Then, we had to make the decision to just replace the furnace or the entire HVAC system. After much deliberation, we replaced the entire system and were content to know we would be covered for parts and labor with a 10 year warranty. When the install team arrived, they were not aware of the air duct cleaning and did not have the proper materials to perform that part of the job. We are still waiting for the air duct cleaning, that is already paid for, to be done.There were a few bumps in the road, but at least we are cool in the 100 degree weather.

The technician came out and checked the system informing me that it had multiple leaks and would require repairs around $2500. They said it was in very bad shape. The high repair cost led me to have their salesman come out to do an estimate for replacing the system, which was going to be over $7K, which seemed on the high side. It appeared like they would do quality work and they did do a load calculation to determine unit size, however they never told me what size unit they would have put in. The information in the estimate was pretty informal and didn't even include the brand of the new unit - I had to ask about that. The Mid State technician was polite and seemed to be well-trained and the salesman was willing to answer my questions, but I still felt that I needed to get some additional opinions given their high cost of repairs and/or replacements. I spoke to two other companies (one a referral, one from Angie's List) who both were shocked that a 2006 unit would need that much repair. The one who came to look at the unit again found the freon was full and felt that if I really had such a bad leak there is no way I wouldn't have lost more freon by the time he had come to look at it. He encouraged me to watch the unit and monitor what was going on with it for a few weeks, since I had no history with it. I'm glad I took his advice and didn't jump on replacement. It turned out the separate electric panel the unit was hooked up to had a faulty circuit which was tripping. A $250 electrical repair was completed and the unit has been problem-free for about a month now. My recommendation is to always get a second or third opinion especially when you are dealing with a unit you are unfamiliar with and it isn't that old. Not that Mid State would have known about my electrical issue, but they were really quick to find expensive repairs and I felt a bit of annoyance from them when I wouldn't jump on buying a new unit without more research. Overall, they are probably a good company and a good choice for some people, but I'm not sure I would call them again. Also, no one else seemed to feel the unit was in "very bad shape." I'm hoping it will last me at least another year or two with proper service.

I would not recommend them. We got so far as a quote with them. They had different options. What we had talked about was insulating the basement and sealing the envelope for the unfinished side of the basement. That is what I asked to be priced out after the initial quote. Try to use them but I would not use them to do any future service to my house.

After purchasing Angie's "The Big Deal" for the duct cleaning, Robert called promptly to confirm the purchase and check on scheduling. We did play a bit of telephone tag before scheduling a date. Everything was prompt and efficient, with other services explained, but no pressure to purchase. I would certainly recommend this service and I am very happy to support local, small businesses.
