The service tech was a bit late but the office called me and let me know that he was caught in traffic. Took nearly 2 hours to complete the service and I got a very complete report of the system status. The tech did put on booties to make sure not to track any dirt into the house. Asked me to sign up for the annual package and showed the price breaks on the potential fixes but I declined. Overall it was a good first experience with Mid-State and I will keep their number on file for any future issues.

Went fine. System was OK and tech offered some recommendations in the future but did not try to sell me on unneeded work.

It went well- they arrived on time and got busy cleaning. the only problem I had - and it was absolutely not their fault- was that the downstairs ducts could only be cleaned with a vacuum because of the type of lining in the duct, The upstairs duct work had a more thorough cleaning with a brush type of cleaner that could t clean the duct work and then they used he vacuum. I rated the quality a B only because I could not get the total cleaning on the downstairs duct work.

I purchased two Big Deal coupons to have the A/C units on two condos serviced. While scheduling the service appointment the Mid State representative advised me that the coupon deal did not include commercial properties. I communicated to him these were residential properties not businesses. He told that they consider rentals as commercial even if they are being used as residences. He said that was their policy and he was sorry for the misunderstanding.

Went well. The tech who came was courteous and knowledgeable and performed the service quickly without sacrificing accuracy. My only dissatisfaction was that I noticed after he left that there was a screw hole from where the old thermostat had been that was now exposed because the new one has a different size and configuration. Not the end of the world, but it would have been nice if he'd applied a tiny dab of putty to make it look alright (the wall where it's instsalled is off-white so it would have blended in). Nothing I can't do myself, but a minor disappointment to have to buy a whole tube of putty for such a tiny amount needed. Overall, though, very satisfied.

They were punctual and professional. The work they did is absolutely top notch. And their price was so good we chose them over a company that we have used and enjoyed great service from for years.

Scheduling was simple and the technician arrived on time. He was very pleasant and professional and went right to work. The large HVAC unit was inspected and the entire system was cleaned/vacuumed, including all the vents in 3000 sf of space! The machine made a lot of noise, but this was all done before we moved in to get rid of dust, allergens and pet dander. He explained their service plan but didn't suggest any repairs or try to get us to purchase additional services. Overall, a fantastic price for this service as most providers charge an additional $10 per vent after the first 10 or so. We are very pleased and will definitely call Mid-State when we need HVAC services in the future.

Two technicians came to complete the work. They completed the work in about two hours. There were some marks left behind that I had to scrape up but everything was fine. I think that they did a good job with the work and the price was okay. There was a problem where some of our ducts were narrow and they could not get their round hoses into clean some of them. Overall, my experience with the company was good. Unfortunately, they are not a local company, but they did not charge any sort of trip charge.

The are on time, follow up to schedule appointments and have done a wonderful job thus far.

I found Mid-State on Angie's List when we were having problems getting our system to work properly- the house had dipped below 50 degrees inside when the temp outside fell in the single digits. I used an Angie's List coupon and the owner Robert sent his technician Adam out promptly - he spent more than two hours assessing the problem and adjusting the system and got it back in working order - all for free for the first visit. It was clear after talking to him, however, that our duct work was a major problem and he recommended having it looked at by their duct system expert TJ. In the meantime, I had an energy audit done through TVA power and they concluded that we did in fact need our ducts replaced. Mid-State is part of the TVA's quality contractor network, so I had them do an estimate for the work. TJ came out, spent a good deal of time under the house, taking pictures and making suggestions for how to get our home more efficient and as comfortable as possible (including recommending DIY products for air sealing in the house) and came up with an estimate promptly. I had another company come out as well, but it took them several days to get back to me with an estimate, and when they did, the estimate had no detail and it was nearly twice what Mid-State came up with. Once we contracted the job, Robert and TJ kept in close touch to schedule the work. They let me know that they may be delayed if they needed to work on homes without heat but otherwise they'd get to our job as soon as possible, and they did - within a week and a half. Because there was a slight delay in getting the big job started, TJ sent a crew quickly (who worked into the night) to fix an immediate problem with our damper and the next day had another couple guys come in to do the air sealing. All the guys who came to our home -- Billy and Tim, Mike and Steve (I think?)-- were polite, clean (they made sure to cover their shoes when they entered and cleaned up dust/debris after) and knowledgeable. They worked hard and quickly in unpleasant conditions (cold weather, cramped crawl space) and were friendly to our dog, who was nervous throughout the repairs, and to my 4-year-old son. They just completed the job and our living room is warm for the first time since we moved to the house 9 years ago.Robert, the owner, made sure to call me the day after they finished to make sure everything was good and TJ came by afterward as well. The cost for the job was exactly their estimate, despite the fact that they had to replace an additional damper and that there were a couple of small unexpected glitches. We are so pleased with their service, their knowledge and their honesty. We've had a bad history with HVAC contractors - starting with the guy who put in our system and 'repaired' our duct work five years ago. What a relief to find a company like Mid-State! I'll be recommending them to anyone I can.

This was one of the best Angie's List experiences I've had. I called the office at 7:15am. I left a message and got a call back pretty quickly. The tech got here around 10:00am. He was extremely polite and professional. I went with him to the furnace and he explained what he was looking at and looking for, and what might have caused my issue. Thanks to the coupon on Angie's List, the visit didn't cost me anything, but I did buy a one-year service agreement for our furnaces and air conditioner. Adam was very honest and pleasant and that's who I want to do business with ?

These guys are awesome, from my first panicky phone call to the installation of my new system less than 48 hours later to the follow up call from the owner the next week. They were thorough, professional, honest, and really helped me make a smart decision about replacing my dead unit. Rather than upsell me, in fact, they convinced me to DOWNGRADE the capacity of my unit, and my house is much warmer at the same tstat temps now. The techician was great (he even let me look though th eviewer at my cracked opn heat exchange), but even better was the "Comfort Manager" who, rather than hold my hand while I cried (which was what I expected) surveyed every inch of my house, asked me endless questions about my house and living patterns and made the recommendation that I downsize it. The inslallers were great too - left no mess and worked very efficiently. I woke up on a Thurs am to no heat and had a new system by Fri pm - and they didn't take advantage of my desperate situation. What more could you want? I wish I could hire them to fix all the other broken things in my house!

Came home from a weekend trip and heater was completely out so it was extremely cold in the house. Semi-emergency given the low outside temperature; they were able to get a service provider over to house in less than 90 minutes; technician diagnosed the problem and fixed the wiring problem. The service that was provided from the time I called and talked to the customer service professional who made sure someone was available to help us out with heating problem to the time the technician left the house was outstanding. Both my husband (who doesn't get impressed easily) and I were extremely pleased and impressed. Great results and a warm home again.

I used coupon for free service call. They came out within a few hours of my call and determined I needed a new compressor or an entire new unit. They provided both a bid to replace just the compressor which, at $2,500 to much to put into an old system. Their price of $8,480 was higher than I wanted to spend for a new system. I accepted a bid from another installer using different brand equipment..

i felt the technician was very honest and let me know what could happen since my unit is very old. He answered questions I had regarding getting a new unit. Very professional and seemed to know what to do. He explained the billing process which I was glad since I had seen an earlier review that made it seemed unfair. I will be calling for an estimate for a new unit.

I had a very good experience with this company. They were prompt, took the time necessary to make certain everything was done as quoted, cleaned up debris and hauled off excess materials. They showed me the results when they were finished and answered all my questions. I never felt pressured into purchasing something not necessary and were a great group of people to work with. I will definitely use them again and HIGHLY recommend their services. 5 stars for the work!!!

Mid State was friendly enough. Being my first time have ducts cleaned, I did not know what to expect. My only concern was the debris venting from the lower air ducts after they had been cleaned.

The men arrived on time, were professional and courteous. I had just moved into my new place and needed to get everything cleaned. They cleaned all of the air ducts and on one place in the living room, there is a ledge where the air vents are about 2 feet above that ledge, so they also cleaned the ledge and advised to perhaps have someone install wood in that area so it could be more easily cleaned, which I plan to do. They were efficient and helpful. Once they got to the area in the garage, they went up into the top end of the garage where previous owners have installed sheetrock on the ceiling and unbeknownst to me, the movers had placed things on the sheetrock, causing the ceiling to droop a bit. The guys took care to help bring boards up to that area and placed the things that I was storing on a more secure surface. They didn't have to do this, but it is again another example how these guys really care about their customers. They cleaned the system up in that area and just did a phenomenal job. I would highly recommend their services and will gladly do business with them again in the future.

John, the service man, was as nice and kind as possible and he was so efficient and effective. It felt like having a family member in the house helping take care of us!
