The technician was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. One of my units had stopped working. He diagnosed the problems and showed me exactly what caused it before asking for authorization to make the repair. I would definitely recommend Mid-state and will use them again.

Extremely professional! They cleaned out all my air ducts, all intakes, and even vacuumed around the area. They also sealed some ducts that air was escaping, as well as sealing the intake. I'm very picky on services, but I can say I would Highly recommend Mid State Air Conditioning & Heating to anyone!!!! Very please and will use again.

Clay is such a wonderful representative Mid State Air. He was friendly, courteous, professional, patient (I had lots of questions), and prompt. At the end of his inspection, he went through his analysis, line-by-line, and made some recommendations concerning how to maintain my units. He did not employ any high-pressure tactics nor did he try and "sell" me anything. Instead, he outline my options and gave me lots of information so that I can make the best choice when the time comes. Like many others who have reviewed Mid State, I also have signed up for their maintenance plan. The price is reasonable, and it gives me some comfort knowing that my units will be well maintained. In short, I highly recommend Mid State Air.

I called and scheduled an appointment with this company to service my air conditioner, which was not cooling properly. The company never showed up at the scheduled time and never called to say they weren't coming.

It worked out very well. I do not know the price because I went with one of their plans. We put out a set amount for the yearly maintenance on both the air conditioner and the heater, so we get a discount. It's a service contract. If we do have problems, we are moved up ahead for having them come out and we do get discounts. The two gentlemen were really nice. Considering that it was our first air conditioner/heater stuff in this; we've only been here a year. I was trying to find out different things about how stuff worked, and they were really good. They were able to come out the next day after I called. I think that they were even early, but they called. The price was in the range of everyone else that I had looked into.

That turned out pretty well. I used them for insulation services afterward. Two technicians came out to do the air duct system cleaning. It took them about 2 hours. I was impressed that they went above and beyond by really trying to clean and vacuum out the returns. They were professional and punctual.

I really trust the supervisor with the company and he has been really patient. He helped me find some things that were not insulated, such as my attic door. They also did air sealing too.

Everyone we dealt with was professional and courteous. Our misfortune started on Saturday evening7/26/2014, we were fortunate to contact mid State for services. Even though this company is approx. 50 miles from our residence they assured us they would send a service person to us within an hour. The service person was prompt and knowledgeable. We had the choice of having our present unit repaired or obtaining a new one. We elected to purchase a new unit and furnace from Mid state. The second day after units were installed I notice the unit was too loud . I called Mid state and they sent a service person the next day. Although he did not have all the equipment on his truck to fully correct the problem he decreased the noise level and assured me that someone would be back the next day to finish the job. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is thinking of repairing or replace their air conditioner unit or furnace. This company is very customer focus.

We woke up Sunday morning to an extremely hot house. Our A/C was pushing air, just not cool air. I immediately went onto Angie's List and looked up a heating and air conditioning company in our area that had the most reviews as well as the highest rating. It turned out to be the same company, Mid-State Air Conditioning and Heating. I called and got a very happy, receptive woman who was happy to assist me. She was pretty new, only had been there for a month, so she apologized a few times and asked me to bare with her as she set up my appointment. She was super friendly and accommodating. I was extremely happy to hear there was an appointment available in only a few hours between 11am and 2pm. She said she'd call me when the technician was on his way. Sure enough, right at 11am on the dot, I received a call telling me the technician was on his way. About 40 minutes later he showed up. Steven was professional, friendly and informative. He assessed the situation, checked a few of the obvious things first, and then discovered the broken and burnt wire connection. After repairing the wire and running a few tests to determine if the unit was working correctly again he was done. I was able to use Angie's List to get a few diagnosis and he charged me their "Club" price because I'm an Angie's List member. All in all we were only out $165 when we were fearing the worst of thousands and thousands of dollars to replace the unit since it's 21 years old. After going over the paperwork he offered us a Club membership for approximately $9.99 a month. We had the option of thinking it over which was refreshing because usually companies will push you to take the offer or it's off the table after today. All in all we couldn't have asked for a better response and fix to our A/C issue. With an 11 month old and a 3 year old at home we were anxious to get it dealt with so our kids were comfortable once again. Thank you so much Mid-State Air Conditioning and Heating!

The service men were prompt and courteous, personable and even friendly to my dogs and cats. I was grateful for their courtesy and impressed with their professionalism.

They have been just wonderful to me since I started using them. They are always courteous, know what they are doing and I will be sticking with them and purchasing new units from them in the future.

My wife and I were very comfortable with Mid-State from our first meeting with Chris. He came to our house for a consultation and arrived exactly when he said he would. He took a LOT more time to make us understand what we needed than the other company we contacted and even left us with notes that we could refer to later. After we decided to go with them, their installation techs arrived promptly (on a Saturday I might add) and worked hard all day with minimal disruption of our normal activities. The project ended up taking 2 days (both of which were Saturdays as we are not at home during the week). They arrived just as promptly the second Saturday and finished up right on time. We could not be more pleased with the job they did or the performance of the equipment they installed.

I called Mid State based on Angie's list reviews to come check our HVAC unit. We were having some cooling issues. Cole came out for the service call. He was prompt and very curteous. We talked about the age of the unit (26 years), and he suggested a thorough cleaning as well as a general evaluation. I ended up going with the service membership, which includes 2 visits a year for cleaning and checkup. I appreciated Cole's honesty with me about my options, including the option for him to do nothing and me take care of it myself. He also reiterated something to me that I knew, but appreciated. That is, your HVAC doesn't consume coolant. If you need coolant added it's because you have a leak, not part of general maintenance. There are HVAC service technicians that will purposely not fix a leak in order to continue to charge customers to regularly re-fill their units. If your HVAC guy does this, talk with someone else. Overall very pleased with Mid State. We will undoubtedly be in need of a new unit in the next few years and they will certainly be at the top of our list to do that work.

There were no troubles with scheduling. Two technicians came out for the work. They were able to complete the job quicker than anticipated. It worked out great! We had no problems at all.

Prompt and professional. Worked quickly and repaired our unit. Our unit is old but he pointed out that it had life still in it and just needed some minor repairs. It was nice that he did not try to convince us to spend more money on a new unit.

The tech was prompt and courteous. He pulled the AC unit apart and evaluated every piece inside. He tested for leakages and capacitor strength. He filled my AC unit with freon due to the unit not putting out cold air inside the house. He started to charge $294.00 for simply filling the AC with freon! But, I managed to negotiate the price down to $150.00. Even then, that was a bit excessive for a simple refill of freon. Well, at least my home is cool now!

Clay was amazing. He spent most of a day meticulously working on the 4 HVAC units in the house on a very hot day. Diagnosed and ultimately fixed a problem with vibration in one unit that was noticeably shaking the house near an air handler upstairs. He even took me up to the attic at my request to view the issue in question. Clay was patient and easy to understand in explaining his findings and I was thrilled that the shaking stopped when the repair to the one unit was completed the following week (needed parts delivered and installed when I was out of town). He also installed electronic shut off switches in the two units above drywall to avoid potential damage from water not properly draining outside. One pan was pretty full of water already so glad we scheduled the visit. Overall, everyone was outstanding and I'm very pleased with this experience and decided to sign up for their yearly maintenance plan. Not a cheap visit but good value in my opinion. Spending smart money now to avoid spending stupid money later.....

.He checked the air filter, then found that the cooling coil was dirty and cleaned it, then tested the freon pressure. Before he came, the unit would not cool the house to the temperature that was set, and ran almost constantly. Now it easily reaches the set temperature and cycles on and off properly. His initial response to my order was prompt, and he arrived when promised. He carefully explained what he was going to do, and demonstrated clearly the work that was required. The work was done in an efficient and timely manner.

Arrived on time as scheduled. Took about 10 minutes to diagnose problem and 1 hour to find the site of the leak and recharge the system. Very professional and explained everything to my wife (Biochemistry Major and MD Physician) in a non deprecating manner. Did try to encourage us to buy a "maintenance plan" for our 4 AC units which we declined as this is a new (2 yr. old) house and we had no problems in 30 years with our last house with 2 units. We would call Mid State again.

Our work required two visits, but both were done with courtesy, promptness and professionalism. Both visits included time for Q and A by me and as much explanation as necessary so that I understood the problems and the proposed solutions. I would definitely recommend Mid-State to others.

It was Labor Day weekend 2013 and the temperature in our attic was well over 110 degrees. Not a great time to have the system shut down, especially with out-of-town guests on their way to our home. After a call with Chris at Mid-State, who listened to our situation and was very professional and thoughtful in his recommendations, the team arrived quickly to get the old system out and the new one in. They even had to take apart the trim on our attic latch just to fit the new system in and had their trim guy come on Labor Day to replace, patch, and paint. After 12 years, our downstairs HVAC is done, Chris came back to give us an estimate and honored the one from the prior year even though the price had gone up for 2014. He kept all the notes he had taken on our household and was again very professional and helpful in helping us understand all the options. They are coming to install tomorrow. Highly recommend Mid-State. Their customer service and warranty were not matched by anyone else we got quotes from (about five others total).
