In the early morning hours of Thursday, January 8, 2014, I discovered my furnace had stopped working. Outside temperature was falling fast and settled at 4 degrees fahrenheit. I put in a work order with my home warranty outfit, knowing that it would be at least 2 days before anyone came out. I looked in my Angie's List magazine and found a coupon for a free diagnosis by Mid-State. I called them up and was told someone would be out to my house between 1 and 3 pm. Cole from Mid-State showed up at least an hour early. He was courteous and professional, knowledgeable and efficient. He found a failed component and was able to coax it into working again. He said that due to the age of my unit and the nature of the component that it may or may not continue to operate. It is now up to me to decide whether to continue to patch my old unit or replace it. Meanwhile, I have heat and am exceedingly happy. Nashville TN can be quite cold in the winter, but this kind of arctic wave is unusual and may easily be deadly. Thank you very much to Cole! He is the kind of employee that ensures a successful business will thrive and maintain loyal customers. The coupon from Angie's List magazine was all it cost me. He came out and did the service. In the process he had jarred some gunk loose and it ended up stopping the whole system. My husband was later able to fix the issue. We had called them to explain the issue and they had never even acknowledged that this had been an issue or offered any sort of resolution.

They came on time, did their work professionally and cleaned up after themselves. Did a very good job and the price was outstanding!

Wow, we never realized how much junk is in an air duct. MSAC&H provided total duct cleaning services following the new install of a brand new A/C Heat Pump. For fifteen or so vents in the house it was a three hour job to include sanitizing the same. If I hadn't asked so many questions intrigued with how they were cleaning out everything including both returns under the house and taking apart the unit professionally to access all dust and debris they wouldn't have overlooked to clean our clothes drier duct (the most critical and fifth highest cause of fires in the US). We asked them to come back when convenient which they did in a timely manner and couldn't have been more pleased with their services. On a Five Star basis these folks rate a 6 in our book. You will really be surprised at how clean the air seems once it is rid of dust, mites, and other air contaminates. B. Benoit Nashville, TN

The technician was on time and very professional. He worked on our old furnace (package unit), said it was in good working shape, and advised us of some services that the company could provide to make it work better. I passed on the additional services because I didn't think they were worth it on an old unit like ours, and he wasn't pushy at all about it. I also passed on their annual subscription service even though it was a fine deal and I really liked the tech. I will probably use them again in the spring for the A/C.

My gas furnace stopped working. I called the home warranty company, and they were unable to locate any HVAC companies that had availability on a Saturday. I had used Mid-State Air Conditioning and Heating earlier this year for my tune ups. I called to check if they had any availability and was immediately given an appointment from 3-5 for same day service. I received a call about 2:45 stating the technician was on his way. I described the issue to Mike when he arrived. He was very professional and even wore footies inside the house. He diagnosed the issue and worked with my home warranty company for the authorization for repair. Mike was very polite and efficient, and I really appreciate his service and attitude. He patiently answered all my questions about the repair and the HVAC systems in my house. This is my second experience with Mid-State, and I will use them for all my heating and cooling needs.

We love the company. We bought the big deal and he let us know that we bought too big of a deal and needed the cheaper deal. He was very honest with us! They went over and beyond what we needed; they came out and I had forgotten about the apoointment and they rescheduled with no problem 2 days later.

Clay arrived on time and even a little early but they called to ensure it was OK to come early. We bought the 49 dollar coupon for a gas furnace tune up. They came within a week. He spent 1.5 hours doing the tune up and cleaned the flame sensor and recommended replacing it. They did a tune up on the a/c back in the spring. Very thorough and professional. We will use them again for future issues.

The best HVAC company in Middle TN. They always do great work and they do it at a fair price. I have noticed the air quality in our house is much better! The owner of the company is very nice and knowledgeable. I will always use them for anything HVAC

It went okay. I didn't have a problem; they did a good job. Their charge is somewhat high, I don't like that; that is why I change companies. They tried to up sell me something rather than they just came out and do the job and leave it at that.

The did a very good job on the ducts and were very friendly. They even changed a little fuse in my HVAC system for free. Two things concerned me. I think they could have done much better at cleaning up the junk that came out of the ducts. The house had not been lived in for some time and I had had major renovations done. Obvious dust and debris on nearby window sills was left unvacuumed. Such a small thing. Also, they broke a handmade wood music stand and didn't tell me. It came apart at the joins so the glue may have been weak. It's just that I heard them whispering in panic mode and when I wandered back into that part of the house when the had moved from it I found the broken stand. I didn't say anything at the time since I was a woman alone with the two male workers. I just think they could and should have told me. Accidents happen. Just be professional.

They came out to fix low refrigerant. I bought a warranty from them and they will be coming out for a free winter inspection here soon. The service they provided was fine, but I am looking forward to that phone call to schedule the appointment.

I just moved to Nashville and I cannot say enough good about the service and professionalism that I received today. I called for the free diagnostic testing this morning and Brendan met me at the home at 3:45. Early. He was very polite, knowledgeable, professional, and I couldn't have asked for a more straight forward and thorough examination of my existing 2 system configuration. In the end, I joined the "Comfort Club" which looks to be a fantastic deal and will have Mid-State provide all of my HVAC services from now on in my new home. I love a family owned business and Brendan provided me with Robert's (owner) direct contact information at the end of our appointment. Doesn't get much better than that.

Very personable and easy to reach. to price the unit, I worked directly with the owner and the entire installation process went smoothly and seamlessly.

It's dark and cold (18 F outside), and I had to work on my heating unit myself tonight thanks to "Midstate"!!! I originally asked Midstate air to come to give 2nd opinion on my heating unit because another HVAC company suggested to replace the whole unit due to potential carbon monoxide leak. I wasn't at home when the technician came and went home to see that the unit was shut down. I can understand the technician needed to shut down the unit by law. The technician from the first company also shut down the unite by switching off the gas and I was able to turn the unit on by simply switching on the gas after he left. But this time things were different with the Midstate visit. The technician not only shut down my gas, switched off the outside power, he also turned off the power switch inside the unit without fulling explaining to us. So when I was not able to turn the unit back on after trying the gas and outside power switches in a temperature dropping to teens I called the company trying to get hold of the technician but was told he is no longer available. I had a chance talked with another technician and this was where I found the whole situation is like a "bully" than a service. Basically, the only thing he can do is to feel sorry that my house could get water damage if some pipes burst in below freezing temperature. He refused to get us connected with the technician who shut down our unit and declined out request to speak to his manager. We were begging for help but he didn't show any concern. I was outrageous!! After calming down, I called again, kindly explaining this situation to their customer service and asking if I can talk to the technician who came today to tell what "trick" he did. We didn't expect him to turn on the unit for us but we need information . She promised to forward the message but nobody called. Enough is enough! I decided to check it by myself. After 20 min working outside I finally found the vault that turned on the power from inside the unit. Here is my feeling about the whole "service" experience: First, Midstate technician didn't tell my wife he was going to shut down everything that it would be really difficult for us to turn the unit back on when we need to. Trust me it is important when you have below freezing temperature. Second, come on, we definitively know the risk of leak and we have carbon monoxide detector in our house. We were told by the technician from the other company that the unit has been probably running like this for months. We are replacing the unit for sure, but we don't want someone just shut if off and leave no option or help when we need the heating in such cold weather. We feel we were forced by Midstate to replace it the next day Third, the whole experience just gave me a bad taste. I feel they don't treat their customers with respect and empathy. We felt helpless and being bullied by them. We seemed not to have any choices but to call them to come the next day to replace the whole unit or try to figure the whole unit out by ourselves in the cold and dark night. Just stay away from them and use another company

The technician arrived on time and was very knowledgeable. This is the third time we have had work done by Mid-State and are always pleased with the service. This time we purchased the annual service contract.

I scheduled this visit as an inspection check off during the sell of my home. It was a positive experience. The rep arrived on time (maybe even a couple of minutes early), I explained a problem that had been identified by a home inspector. He immediately went to work inspecting the unit and identified that it was in need of a deep clean and tune up. He quickly provided a quote for his services and we agreed on a price. He was thorough in his work and cleaned up after himself prior to leaving. I would absolutely call Mid State for my future HVAC needs.

I have been with this company for several years and always receive excellent service from them. Company executive called afterwards to make sure all was satisfactory.
