They did a wonderful job, came on time wore covers over their shoes which was very thoughtful since I have carpet all over the house. Very friendly and courteous. They explained and educated me about my filter. In all it was a good experience and I would use them again.

My experience with Mid State is one that the average consumer just dreams about. The two representatives of the company, Cole and Marvin were personable, professional, efficient, and helpful. They explained the entire process thoroughly before proceeding and when finished cleaning the vents and trunks, there was no residual dirt or mess. They cleaned thoroughly and you would not have even known they had been there, after performing what can be a messy job. Most importantly, they treated me....the customer.... with the utmost respect. And, they overheard I had a special needs son, so they went to the truck and gave him a cool carry bag and a Mid State T-shirt. Just awesome. My review comes from the perspective of a long time Franklin resident, retired business owner, (20+ businesses in Nashville and Franklin over 32 years) in the sense that I am very customer service and customer friendly aware. Cole and Marvin are perfect examples of true customer service. This is why all the customers on Angies List should always consider doing business with local, family based businesses with the owners and employees who live here, raise their families here and are a part of the community. Mid State embodies all these attributes. And again, thanks to Cole and Marvin for thinking of my son.

I was very happy with the work they did. Two guys and their large duct vacuum were in and out in under an hour. They left no mess, were not in my way at all even found a duct vent that I'd forgotten about. Super thorough, professional and quick!

Mid State was great! I was using Lee Company for years and each time the guy who showed would comment on something the last guy didn't do, etc and I always watched them. I'm glad to get someone who did it all, because I watched this time too and they explained everything they were doing!

It was okay but we have actually not moved forward with the job. The estimate was fine. It was a little higher than we anticipated and we don’t know if that means anything. We didn’t really know what to expect. It was just higher than we thought. We’re not sure if anything really stood out that much. The guy that came out was very nice and walked through. He was very knowledgeable definitely. If the price hadn’t been much higher than we thought, plus at the time of the year that it was which was right around Christmas, we probably would have done it just because we really liked them, in terms of their customer service and just how he presented himself when he was here. The inspection cost was not bad.

Everything went well. We had a Big Deal. There were no additional charges. It was on-time.

They called earlier in the morning so that we could have someone meet them at the church at the correct time. Their employees were professional and did a great job. We were very happy with their service and will look at using them again in the future. It is great to be breathing much cleaner air in our church!

The gentleman arrived within the stated time window, and did a thorough job. Everything was left functioning and in good order. An annual service plan was offered, but not pushed for which I greatly appreciated. They were great.

The service representative did arrive later than expected, but I would imagine the distance and condition of roads in Woodlawn would have been a factor on this issue. But on the other hand, the quality of work, his professionalism, and the cost exceeded my expectations. I have no complaints about this provider and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The staff were professional and prompt, and I'm confident that we are better off with clean ducts to go with our new energy-efficient system.

It was wonderful. The service professional didn't mind me looking over his shoulder and asking questions. He went out of his way to clean our filter and test our whole system. He explained everything he was doing and why. I was totally confident in his abilities personally and he spoke very highly of the owner. I am always interested in what employees say about the owners of their company and my service professional could not have been more complimentary of the owner's character and integrity. I will definitely be calling them for a service contract and likely to do other work for us as well.

The next day they came and installed the new heat pump. The installer was friendly and courteous! It was extreme cold , going down to single digits, and he didn't complain about the conditions he had to work in. The comfort advisor,was friendly and not a high pressure salesman. We were very pleased with everyone we talked to from this company.

Our experience with them was great. They were very fast. The day my air conditioning went out, they had somebody there to look at it that night. They confirmed that it was pretty much gone. They replaced it all the next day. The service overall was quick, and everybody was professional. The owner called me the day after installation, just to make sure everything went well. I think they did a high quality job and provide very good service.

A couple of years ago we needed to replace our HVAC system using NES financing and called several companies for estimates. Chris of Mid-State was the ONLY one who performed a manual J to determine the size of the unit we needed before giving an estimate. The others all said they were so experienced that they could eyeball and they had NEVER been wrong. Hard to believe since each one of them came up with a different answer! The other companies took about 15 minutes to write up an estimate and seemed eager to get on their way. I had the feeling they didn't want to have to conform to NES standards and that we were too small a job for them to bother with. In contrast, Chris was very careful and took a lot of time to talk us through the various options and answer all of our questions. He said they welcomed the NES inspections that would be necessary for our financing because they wanted to do things the right way. He explained that Mid-State does only residential work while the others also work on larger businesses so my suspicions about the other companies were correct. We were also impressed when Chris said that Mid-State uses only full time employees with benefits like worker's compensation instead of using part-timers or contract workers. We were happy to hear this, since we don't like saving money just because workers aren't treated fairly. We ended up buying a more expensive energy efficient unit than we had originally planned, but not because we were pressured in any way. The costs were very transparent and on a par with other estimates. We were especially happy with the warranty, which includes parts and labor for 10 years. The install seemed to go well, but afterwards we noticed more of a temperature differential than expected between upstairs and downstairs. Inspection by NES revealed some significant problems with airflow both upstairs and downstairs in several different places and listed a number of things that needed to be fixed. Mid-State corrected these problems and also, when we asked, replaced vent covers, which should have been done as a matter of course. We were surprised that there was so much to correct based on this external inspection. However, the owner called to check on our situation and was very receptive to our feedback. We were very happy with the final product. Amazingly, contrary to the laws of physics there is now very little temperature differential between the upstairs and downstairs--it seems like magic. All's well that ends well! The first winter we had the system there was a problem with the heating unit. The repairman came promptly after we called. He was very knowledgeable and efficient and fixed it with parts he had on hand. We have had seasonal inspections by the same repairman and have been impressed that these are much more detailed and careful than we have experienced with other companies. Overall, we have been extremely pleased with the product and services provided by Mid-State and have recommended them to others.

The technician that came out was fantastic. Very knowledgable and friendly. Very professional. He was able to diagnose a problem and fix in it in under 30 minutes, Compared to the 1.5 hours another company took to look at it and offer no soultion. Would highly recommend John Henry!

It was good, really good. They clean about 30 to 36 vents. They came on time. Their service was excellent. They clean up and they left up some screws here and there. I would recommend them.

Company is great. Ended up needing more work than the big deal provided. Going to hire them to do the job.

They did a great job. They did the work for my sister’s home. She ended up purchasing a new unit from them as well. I felt they went above and beyond what we paid them to do. They were great at cleaning up after the job and pleasant to work with. They were great at explaining everything to my sister and answering her questions. We had no problem scheduling the deal and came out as scheduled.

They cleaned up the grates. They came in and clean but i still had mold on it afterwards. They came very promptly when they said they would; two guys came but when I notice that afterwards I had mold coming out on some of the vents. They came and did something on the vents and vacuumed it out. They had some kind brushing system they did down in there; I had never done anything like that before, I may have done a little stuff but not cleaned up the vent. It looked like they kind of vacuumed it out a bit, may be it loosened out some mold, I don’t know. But I did have mold, not in every vent but in some of them.I could physically see a little bit of mold around the venting later on within the day or two afterwards. Or what looked like mold to me.
