It appeared to me that the diagnosis was insulated and I had another independent heating and air conditioning vendor come out and he gave me a bid with a lot lower and it solved the problem and the unit is working fine. It appeared to me that they were trying to sell me a new unit and I think they were trying to push me in that direction.

Called Mid State Air Conditioning & Heating to schedule an HVAC tune-up and was told they could send someone that day. Service tech showed up on time and was very professional. I was impressed with his knowledge and how thoroughly he inspected and cleaned my unit. I had several questions about my unit that the tech was more than willing to answer. I was very pleased with the overall service provided. I would highly recommend Mid State Air Conditioning and Heating.

I called Mid-State Air. They were very good at responding. Told me they were booked for a couple of weeks. I said no problem. They came out and serviced my son's ac when they said they would. Very good. I will use them again.

Second serviceman was rude and did not do what he said he would do . Very untrustworthy .

Great! Clay let me tag along as he and his coworker inspected, tested, and cleaned my HVAC. He took the time to explain each procedure to me, and explained the importance of having the unit cleaned and inspected twice yearly to ensure proper operation. They even washed the outside of my unit so it looks pretty! Mid State has a "Service Club" that provides two inspections per year, plus a complimentary plumbing inspection, and 15% discount if/when additional services are needed. I went ahead and signed up for the club membership.

Repairman did a free diagnostics of the whole system and figured out what was wrong. Explained in laymen's terms how much everything would cost. Operator was very professional as well. Repairman was out to our house in 2 hours.

Wonderful service - even called to let me know they would be late due to freeway tie-up. Clear concise work record & diagnosis of one problem, which I will be happy to have them address. Highly recommend!

We have just moved into a new house and immediately noticed that our upstair AC was not able to keep up during the heat of the day. It was running for about 12 hours straight during the day. I was dreading the electric bill we would receive, so I contacted an HVAC company to look into it. The first company gave an option to either repair ($1500-2000) or replace ($3100). I wanted a second opinion and bid, so I contacted Mid State. The tech arrived and did not see any reason to replace the unit and recommended only a recharge of freon as the pressure were a little low. That immediately fixed the problem, and save me $3000 over replacement at the same time. The technician knew what the other company had recommended, and he could have easily sold me on needing to replace the unit. However, he was honest and made the easy, inexpensive fix. Because of that honesty and their fair prices, I have since signed up for the scheduled maintenance service (I have not yet had my first scheduled maintenance done). Their prices are set, meaning that they won't upcharge if they are busy at the time. I feel confident that they will provide a competitive rate for their repairs and not attempt to gouge because they have a lot of work at the moment. I can't comment on whether they are the absolute cheapest provider out there, but I do feel their prices for repair and maintenance are competitive and fair.

OUTSTANDING--had airbnb clients arriving in 4 hours. Mid State Air had problem fixed when clients arrived. Our first experience with Mid State AND Angies List. Even our clients were impressed. We have 8 homes and they are now our go-to company. Will be first time in years we will use same company again after so many poor experiences. THANK YOU MID STATE

--Upstairs AC unit wasn't cooling enough to handle the summer heat. --Called mid-state during the early afternoon. --Dispatcher was very professional, among the best dispatching systems I've seen for a local firm. --Technician arrived within the window. Office communicated the entire time. --Technician examined all components to the upstairs unit, determined that most components worked properly and didn't need repair, then discovered that the coils on the outdoor unit were extremely dirty, inhibiting the cooling potential. --Cleaned the coils and replaced upstairs filters for better air flow. Air flow and cooling working better now. --Technician was very professional and cordial. --Signed up for an ongoing maintenance plan for all units.

Paid a $50 service call fee to be told we needed a $1600 new a/c unit. Our unit is only 5 years olds. Had a second opinion and $150 later everything works great. I used Mid State before with good results. This was just a very bad service call. Too much variability in the quality of the techs.

The tech came at my house. He checked my cooling system and gave the estimate which was very vague.He will told me it will take "whole day" to do this job. We agred on the price. After 15 min he said he is done. Please note I was not there as it is an empty house ( for sale). When I asked him wheather he finished all the work , he stated "yes". However when I asked him specific things he said it was not included in the estimate. I end up paying him more to fix those problems. The other guy who is not on angies list gave me an estimate of 544 $ for the same thing.

The man was very professional. The company called us and kept us up to date and on when his exact arrival time would be. He explained everything very well and took his time showing us exactly what was wrong. We were pleased with the service and will use them in the future.

After determining we needed a new compressor and that it was in-warranty, the technician attempted to up-sell us on several additional parts, finally determining that we would have to pay $1700 for the repair. While the part was under warranty, the other parts needed to make the compressor run were not, the system needed new freon, and they would have to order the compressor as it was not local and we were responsible for the shipping. We have two toddlers in our home and needed to get the air up and running as quickly as possible. We called every day and didn't learn until three days later the status of the part. By this time we had contacted another service provider who DID find the part locally and charged us $745 for the same work. I am astounded at the lack of communication, especially with two young children, and at the egregious pricing associated with this company.

Wired me back up and I was fixed. That simple.

I purchased a home in Inglewood that had a very old HVAC/heat pump unit. I purchased a Mid State coupon on Angie's List for a $49 inspection. Well, when the inspector opened the unit's circuit breaker, the whole thing fell apart in his hands. Not his fault, to be sure, but it sucked not to have heat in the middle of winter. In any case, I called 3 providers to get quotes on a new HVAC/heat pump replacement. Not only did Mid State beat their 2 competitors and install the new unit promptly, but they've turned out to be incredibly efficient and responsive as a little bit of further troubleshooting ( re wiring and old ducts) was required. I always like supporting a locally owned and operated company, You call Mid State, and you get a really nice and helpful person on the phone right away. Really, I can't imagine you'd do better with any other company.

The inspection, the information received about the equipment, and the installation were allprofessional and well done. Very happy with the arrangements and the work done.
