Excellent! Had another company out first they wanted to replace unit, heat unit, and said ducts needed to be replaced. Choates comes out and immediately finds problem . A capacitor needed to be replaced!! Choates is not only extremely intelligent, they are honest. I will recommend them to everyone.

We called Choate's because our HVAC unit stopped working one afternoon in early January. They sent a technician out the next day who "corrected" the issue and the furnace ran for a few hours. Then it stopped again. We called again, and someone finally came out the next day. That technician said that the first technician had actually turned on a furnace that was dangerous due to a cracked heat exchanger and that the supply line was separated so that it could not detect gas. He then red-tagged it so that we couldn't run the furnace because it could have filled the house with gas and caused an explosion. That actually seems like something that a lawyer or the inspector might be concerned about since it could kill someone. We then had to wait another day to have an expensive new unit installed... in JANUARY! Now we just learned in March through an email that it still hasn't even been inspected and no one has ever returned our call to discuss the initial concerns.

They were great I am very pleased with them.

This is and update of the original review done in 2016. I think I was told there was no way I could update the review. Technician told me I needed to replace a piece of the duct in the attic that he was supposed to have sealed, according to my order that was written by Randall Linn, the very nice person who came out to look at the ducts in the attic. Ended up paying $225 more than I was quoted because he replaced it vice sealing it. It was my fault because I didn't call Mr. Linn; but I didn't realize until later that this was the piece that was supposed to be sealed. So, instead of paying $478 I paid $703. The technician was also supposed to 'check the airflow damper to the master bedroom and mark the damper with tape.' I was getting a little bit of heat and air in the MBR previously and a lot in the master bathroom. Now I am getting virtually none. Have to use a portable AC insurer and heater in winter. The damper was not marked and I have looked for it and can not find it. I thought cleaning my vents would help with the dust on my furniture, but I guess that wasn't it. I was supposed to have some more work done my them, but after I realized I had been taken, I cancelled. Would not use again; integrity is everything to me.

I requested a quote and Devin came out within a day or so. He was very courteous, personable, and professional. I told him it might be a couple of months due to a kitchen remodel; he had no problem with that. A couple of months later, I called him and told him we were ready to go. He called me back within 10 minutes with a range of days & times. I chose the next day in the afternoon. That day, the office called to say the workmen were finished early, and so they were a couple of hours earlier than expected (which worked for me). It took about 3+ hours. Ron and Travis were very careful and took care to clean their feet when coming in from outside and from the attic. They explained what they were going to do beforehand, and consulted with me with any deviation from the plan. I could not be more pleased with Devin, Ron, and Travis. I highly recommend Choate Heating and Air for cleaning air ducts and returns.

I feared contacting any repair company because of the cost involved and possibly getting a rude and inexperienced service man. However, I was happily surprised to receive a knowledgeable and professional customer-service orientated service man to do the work at a reasonable price. I will hire Choate's Air Conditioning, Heating, & Plumbing again for future work.

All went well, and my three inspections have been completed perfectly. I love the fact that they have 24/7 service at no extra charge to me because of being a preferred customer through their contract with me. The monthly fee is very reasonable.

They come spring and fall to do something in the house. I was having some leaking and stuff. So, they helped me on that. I have some type of agreement with them. The pricing is excellent. The quality is excellent. Very responsive.

The Choates technicians were excellent. They covered the floors to prevent damage and dirt. They took the time to explain everything and cleaned up the attic when they were done. Choates us not the cheapest but their personnel are always knowledgeable and professional.

It was fine, good. The only thing we didn’t like was that they were pushing their service plan. We were put off by that. They seemed more interested in that then doing the service. We were having a bit of a temperature regulation problem and instead of focusing on that, he came out with all their service plans. The price was alright for what we had done. Professionalism was a B only because of the pushiness. I probably would not use them again.

They set up a schedule and came up and showed up when they said they were. When they didn't have any particular part that they needed they set up a time to come back out and were on time then too. Everything works.

They come out twice a year. Everything worked. Everything went very well. It is a very professional organization. There were different technicians for each visit. The heating guy gave me some good information on the filters I am using. They saved me money.
