Vintage came out to update some foundation work (brick front staircase) done for the previous owner of our house. They stand by their guarantees! Work completed on time with no disruption. Have hired them for more complex foundation work in the past. Very satisfied! highly professional and skilled work

We called Vintage Construction to give us an estimate on a repair to our foundation. One of their people came out, did a thorough walk through, talked to us about what they could do and promised to get us an estimate within the week. After three weeks of not hearing anything, I called again and the person who answered told me they needed to send out someone else to look at it because it was such a complicated repair. So two younger, obviously less experienced guys came out. They looked over everything and started talking about a different method to do the repair. He said he would have to check with his boss to see if they would let them use the newer method. He then hinted several times that if the company wouldn't let him use this new method, he could come out and do it himself. I never heard back from either him or Vintage Construction.I found the entire experience very frustrating and unprofessional: making lame excuses for not ever getting me the first estimate, sending over obviously less experienced people the second time, offering to do the work themselves instead of through Vintage, and finally, never getting us an estimate at all. I would not recommend them to anyone.

My house was built in 1984. There is one major floor support beam that runs the length of the house, approximately in the center of the house. The area in the vicinity of the front door, including the openings to the living and dining rooms was not adequately supported, resulting in visible gaps above the crown molding, cracking near door frames, and doors that could not shut freely. For the first appointment, the Vintage Construction salesman made his sales pitch and prepared the estimate. The work was to include an additional support beam and six adjustable posts. The initial installation went smoothly and afterwards the offending gaps were closed up and the doors operated freely. After about 3 months, everything had settled right back to the original condition. I called Vintage to come back out. The same salesman arrived, asked me how old the house was, and proceeded to launch into the same sales pitch he had used the first time. When I cut him off to inform him that this was a warranty appointment, his countenance became more grim. "We are very busy, but we'll try to work you in." After quite a few weeks, I got the return appointment, and this is where the real trouble began. Two workers came out - one to do the adjustments under the house, and one to signal the instructions. After about an hour of fiddling around, the team leader announced that he had moved things as far as he could. Unfortunately, the sagging area was still sagging, but now two corners of the dining room wall - previously straight - were misaligned. The moldings (crown, chair, and shoe) didn't align in the corners, and the sheet rock mud tape separated from the wall from all of the stress and shifting. Everything looks much worse than if I had done nothing. Wish I could post pictures - that would say it all!

They were very pleasant but their price was very high. Their customer service was great. They were very easy to deal with. I probably won’t call them again in future.

The experience with Vintage Construction was excellent from beginning to end. The representative who came to assess our situation initially is very knowledgeable, having worked years in the construction industry before working for Vintage. He did not hit us with a hard-sales routine or hit try to sell more than what we needed do right now. He explained the process well. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't going to cost more than it did, considering how critical the work was. Vintage, although very busy, worked with us on the date knowing that we needed to "get the house straight" (literally) before our new windows were scheduled to be installed. They were able to get us scheduled even before the promised deadline, showed up on time, did the work with a minimum of disruption. They did a good job of putting everything back in order (soil and bush back in place) and took more care than I expected in matching the concrete on the driveway. Most important was the results! Vintage was able to close the crack that had shown up quite suddenly and level the house significantly. If we had not addressed the foundation issue, I have no doubt that the house would have settled further, as it is essentially three storeys tall on that side, high on a hill, on deep clay. After the problem was fixed, we discovered we fixed some existing settling that we had not known about. We had only owned the house for a little over a year. Now the French doors to the living room that used to never open all the way swing freely and the front door that always felt locked when it wasn't opens easily. I am really glad that we had this work done.

I don't know the quality of their work since they don't need my business.

I paid 20% down then waited months for the job to start. When the owner finally came he destroyed my yard and forced the water to flood my basement and crawlspace causing thousands of dollars in damages. When asked to come back and grade the yard he refused, he said he had other jobs to do and suggested I find someone else to fix it. The concrete work was never completed and he has my money. The worst job I have ever had done by any contractor.

They are incredible. They covered the entire area. They absolutely worked out good. Of all the people in Nashville, they are the best I have ever worked with. They are the best as far as standing behind their work. I am a realtor and they have done work for my clients, too. I think they charged me about $800 per piece for this job. They were pretty much on time, about as much as someone could be for being in a big city. I do understand that you can get caught in traffic. I do have the owners cell number plugged into my phone and he knows when I call it is usually for business. We have a good relationship with each other. I do not know if he gets me in quicker because I am a realtor. A lot of times people may respond quicker to a realtor.

I think Vintage Construction has poor customer service. The guy that came to my house was not professional at all. He was very rude to the co-worker that he had with him and spoke down about him to us. The employee sat most of the time in his truck on the phone.

Vintage Construction came on time and did all the work that they needed to do in a timely fashion. I paid almost the same price as the estimate. Any extras were told to me before any work was done. We have a warranty on the work if there are any problem.
