Description of Work: Vintage Construction gave an estimate for structural repairs as requested and in addition gave an estimate for crawl space encapsulation, which was not requested. The structural work estimate was $14,072 with a 2 year warranty including a 1 time adjustment, if needed. The estimate for the encapsulation work was $7.315. - It was bothersome that an "upsale" bid was received without a request for it. The estimate was just too high, the warranty was too short and the 1 time adjustment limit was too limiting. Mr. White, who gave the estimate, was very nice and seemed professional. I would have liked to use this company, but I have had this type of work done before and the price was so high that I did not feel price negotiation was appropriate. I did get the work done by another company with a 5 year warranty and no limit on adjustments. Also, before getting a 2nd company bid, I got a structural engineer's report. Total cost of the work by the company that I used, less than $4,000 including the engineer's report.

Description of Work: One of our basement walls was showing some cracks and signs of movement. Vintage impressed us with their proposal and price and we contracted whth them for repair and stabilization. The representatives were professional and made their plan understandable. Workmen came on time and the job was completed in the expected time. We received a lifetime warranty=transferable. We are pleased thus far.
