The service man quickly diagnosed the problem with my washing machine. He was upfront and honest with me about the fact that the repair would cost more than the machine was worth.

My 15 year old Maytag Neptune dryer stopped tumbling so I went to my trusty DIY site YOUTUBE! After watching a few very amateurish videos I figured out the problem. So I took the dryer apart and found the broken belt and one sticky roller. I checked YouTube again and this time found the AppliancePartsPros.com tutorial by Matt. His video is so professional. The room is well lit and Matt's instructions are beginner friendly. I ordered a new drum belt and 2 rollers for about $55. The order was processed the same day and I received all products in 2 days! Only problem was that I have just 25% of the strength I did a few decades ago! I'm pretty sure I got the machine back together ok but wasn't happy with the balance. After 3 loads I heard an ominous TWANG!!! Think it's time a new dryer. In the end the absolutely only problem I had is that APP.com did not stuff a burly repair person into the package! LOL (insert smiley face)

Very well. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find it since it is the original oven with built-in cabinetry. I didn't want to pay to have the cabinet redone, so finding the part makes it possible to continue using this oven. I thought the price was a little high, but I think they had to find it from someone else and since this is from 1960, maybe the price is reasonable since they would not be readily available. Everyone one was helpful and I'm impressed at how fast I got it - the following day. They thought it could take into the middle of this next week. I'm very pleased and would recommend them and use them again. I'm glad that Angie's List had them on there. They were rated highly. I can see why! It was also packaged very well to prevent damage to the piece I needed.

When the part (latch) came, it was about 30 minutes. It took longer to pull out the broken latch. then to install the replacement latch.

6 year old Kenmore dishwasher started making a loud ?whirring? noise like a loud version of the torpedo sound in WW2 submarine movies! Googling indicated the circulation pump or motor, so I bought the assembly. I found the AppliancePartsPros how-to video was extremely helpful, one of the best I?ve seen. The website is very user-friendly and the do it yourself stories were revealing. In particular, claiming to do this job in 20 minutes is beyond absurd. Really going start to finish took many hours. I write as an electrical engineer who has done mechanical work on cars as a hobby for 40+ years. Finding the right breaker, clearing out under the sink, getting some tools from the garage and some from the basement, disconnecting inlet, outlet, and electric supply, pulling the racks, and pulling out the unit took about five hours. Changing the motor/pump assembly and putting everything back together took another five hours the next day. I?m not including the time it took to procure a new flexible supply line. I recommend using soapy water to make fitting the new gasket easier. This was the hardest part of the job even doing it that way. Even though it took all of ten hours, I figure I saved $300 doing it myself. Although replacing the pump and motor assembly fixed the problem, in retrospect I should have spent another $50 on a new drain pump, to avoid having to go through this repair again.

They asked me the model and make of my fridge so they could have the parts with them. They came out the next day and replaced my ice maker. It took all of a half hour, they were clean, efficient, and quick. I would highly recommend.

I was sure I needed a new dishwasher. My current one which had started malfunctioning last night. It's pretty old (actually Matt from Tennessee looked it up and that series was built in 1988!) and I couldn't fix it with the regular trouble shooting in the manual or on the Internet. I called to try to decide what to do - order a part, call for service, or buy a new one. After I explained the dishwasher symptoms to Matt, he helped me talk through my options. Then he said: WHY DON'T YOU GO TO THE BREAKER BOX, FLIP THE DISHWASHER BREAKER OFF, WAIT 5 MINUTES, THEN PUT IT BACK ON. What a concept - reset with the breaker. IT WORKED at least for today! Matt also gave me a website for located a professional installer and coached me about getting the best price. I will need a new dishwasher, but not today.

I called the provider after waiting an inordinate about of time on hold with my home surge protector's vendor. I called because I wanted to get an idea how much it would cost to replace display and/or controller board parts for my Electrolux refrigerator that had been subjected to a major power surge the night before. The young lady who answered my call was able to find out what the error code meant that was displayed on the refrigerator and quickly gave me the cost of the components that could be causing the error. She further gave me ideas as to how I could go about accessing the components with the use of a putty knife and screw driver. She wished me well and stood prepared to sell me whichever component that I had found to look charred/burned. I found my husband's putty knife and proceeded to find the components, both of which appeared to be in good shape. After reconnecting them, Voila!!! Everything began to work!!! Her supportive suggestions gave me the confidence that enabled me to merely reset the computer boards at no cost!!!
