Perfect even had to do some mods to the blower at NO EXRTA COST

I checked around before I did it and they seemed like the best one in the area. After they finished there were a couple of issues I was not happy with so I went to the main office and they resolved the issue pretty quickly after they found out about it. I have been pretty content with them and they were pretty professional. I will use them again in the future.

It turned out great. They are very thorough, cordial, do their work, clean up afterwards, and make sure everything is working right before they leave. Everything was excellent. We had 4 estimates. I will use them again in the future.

Can't remember exact date or cost but they were very quick to come out and let me know what was wrong and how much it would cost. He fixed what he said was wrong and evidentally he was right since it worked fine afterwards. Was very happy with responsiveness, punctuality and knowledge. Would definately use again and recommend.

I had a meeting with AJ from Mainstream Heating & Cooling on December 15th 2010. I discussed my plans on finishing my basement and he seemed the most knowledgeable of the three different contractors I met with about how to best expand my system. I was pleased with our meeting and expected to get a quote back within 48 hours, as AJ promised before he left. Over a week later I still hadn't received any word back and called the office to ask about the delay. The clerk said that he would leave AJ a message and that he would get the quote to me shortly. It has now been a month and I still haven't received a quote.

First on the upstairs unit, I was not too pleased as they replaced the unit during the winter and provided a 1.5 ton unit as the salesperson said that was what was needed for that space. While the heating portion of that unit works adequately, the cooling performance of the unit is quiite poor since it cannot keep the space upstairs cooler than 82 degrees the middle of summer which is sweltering in this part of the country. I followed up with Mainstream and they sent a repair technician out, and he informed me that, unofficially, the system is working fine but is too small(!) for that space and that the sales rep did not do a proper load estimation of that space. I asked the sales rep to come back and quote larger system which he did and said he would work with me on the price, but he never did reply with a new quote so I gave up on him after trying to call him a few times. My experience with Mainstream on the downstairs unit was more positive but not perfect. I decided to purchase a high end system for the downstairs since it was covering two floors and the existing unit was zone controlled. Mainstream quoted me approximately $8000 for a 95% efficient/15 SEER variable speed system which was reasonable for the brand I wanted. The guys showed up on time to do the work, but they ran into some challenges during the install when they found the existing system was using all flexible duct and therefore was not efficient. Fortunately, one of the technicians told me that he had been doing this for many years, and while the sales rep did not specify it, he wanted to do the job "right" so he made the decision to fabricate a brand new run of square duct to replace the flexible duct at no extra charge; Unfortunately, due to the complexity of the install, the fellow seemed to start getting a bit fed up with the job after working on it for 3 days and before I knew it, I could see that they were visibly taking shortcuts to try to finish the job in a hurry and, in the process, made a few mistakes in the zoning which they had to fix later. They also made a serious mistake and created a gas leak in my garage during the install of the furnace which was noticed by the utility meter reader while he was making his reading. I called Mainstream back to fix the gas leak and repair their errors which they mostly fixed but not completely. At this point, I really had enough of them, and did the rest of the repairs myself which included strapping some of their duct work which was causing my drop ceiling to sag and repairing some of the leaky duct work. In conclusion, I might use them again for repairs but not for a new install considering all that happened. I appreciated the extra design work the technician did in fabbing the square metal duct but definitely was not pleased with the shortcuts they starting taking, as well as the mistakes made after the job started taking longer than they had planned. Update - 03/17/2012 Thank you Angie's List for being there and sparking Mainstream into action. After our previous breakdown in communication with their sales team, the owner of Mainstream personally contacted me and was able to work out a satisfactory compromise where they did a proper load evaluation and upgraded the upstairs unit to a 2.5 ton unit. While we have not hit the sweltering July temps yet so I can really test this new unit, I am eternally confident that the problem will be resolved with the larger unit...if not, I'll update!

They charged me about $100 for their services. I would recommend them. The guy came out and got our air conditioner working. He changed some stuff on the thermostat. So, everything was good.

I have been extremely pleased with them. They fixed my unit right away and didn't charge me a whole lot. I was really happy with them. They were really fast to get somebody out there, and they were very reasonable enough with the process. There was nothing I disliked. They were extremely reasonable. I was extremely pleased. They did a good job and it is still going well. I called them around 8.30, local time here, and they had somebody at my house, 20 minutes after 9. They were extremely responsive. They told us it would take a mid-day to get someone out there, but it took them 45 minutes to get out there. The people I talked to were really good. They didn't try to sell me extra stuff, and did exactly what I asked.

The job was completed on schedule. I am very satisfied with the quality of the work and product.

They are very attentive. My husband was overseas in Afghanistan when they came out and I didn't feel like, as a woman that I was being talked down to. We were able to have an educated discussion and he taught me things that I didn't know about. They wear little red booties over their shoes when they come into the house. They are coming back fairly soon to do the work once it gets a little warmer. I would absolutely use them again.

Called them on Friday due to my high electric bill, worried that something was wrong with my heating system. I was promptly given a date for Monday (today). They came on time and It didn't take too long on checking out everything. The service tech explained that my system was running fine. My high electric bill is most likely caused by so many consecutive days below freezing. Also said that when it's that cold, the system will run auxillary heat in the entire cycle and that uses up more wattage.

I am very well pleased with Mainstream's customer service. I was charged less than I had anticipated, and treated extremely well. Thank you, John. The replacement estimate I received was $2,400, exactly where the technician had estimated. I will most likely be using Mainstream to replace my unit before the federal tax credit runs out.

The installation and setup of the new system went according to schedule and was completed on time. The salesman left a lot to be desired. I researched the product thoroughly and received quotes from a number of different contractors for other brands.

They are an excellent company and I am very pleased with them. I didn?t just get a simple heating and cooling system, it also has a whole home purification system. For the work they had to do to get it set up, I feel like it was money well spent.
