+ 0 moreLate on a Friday night with a guest in the house, the septic tank backed up into the guest bath. We went to Angie's List to find a weekend provider. South East Total Services called us back Friday night and first thing Saturday morning to set up service time. Red arrived on time, with complete professionalism. He searched tirelessly to find the tank, which was unfortunately under the deck! In a cramped work space and without taking a break Red was able to break into the tank, fabricate a new entry point, and get the tank cleaned out. Even though this was a major inconvenience Red and South East Total Service made it right!

+ 0 moreAfter paying for the free estimate, I decided to shop around. I found their price to be almost double of the lowest bidder and at least $1500 higher than the service I used. When I told them I was going with someone else because of their price, they magically adjusted their price by $700 and offered to roll the cost of the free estimate ($82.00) into the cost of the work. If they could have done it for that price they should have offered it at first. Either way their price was way out of range. They may be great plumbers but I will never find out. I should have know when they pulled the $82.00 free estimate game.
Description of Work: I saw some of the reviews for this vendor and gave them a call. They were quick and gave an estimate of $3700 to connect a sewer line. They also told me that their free estimate would cost me $82.00 because they had to diagnose the problem first.

+ -1 moreI called South East Total Service on a Monday, requesting service for the following Wednesday. I was told that this would be no problem. Apparently, it was. At 45 minutes past my appointment time,the technician that was supposed to be at my home had still not arrived and I had received no word from him/her or the company as to when they might arrive. When I called the office, they offered the standard reply that the job he was currently on must be taking longer than they had anticipated. I understand this and know that these things happen, but there's no excuse for someone in their organization not calling me to inform me of the delay. I do rotating shift work and had to alter my schedule for this appointment. The courtesy of a simple phone call would have made a big difference.

Description of Work: I was using Angie's List to get estimates for a tub repair. This is the 2nd company I called after the 1st company said they would come do a free estimate. The lady on the phone at South East Total Service, said they could be on site tomorrow. When I mentioned estimate. She said, "you don't want us to do the work?" I said, "I'm looking for estimates." She said hang on, and put me on hold. When she came back she said, "yea, we're going to let this one go." Seriously?

+ -1 moreI called them; they came out the next day and I had a good experience with them. I have been satisfied with their service and it is working fine. They were polite and the worker that came out was fine; I was very comfortable having him in my house. He had a little trouble getting screws into the tile but that was not his fault. I will use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used South East Total Service to exchange my shower out and put bars around my tub.

It is hard to write a review since I have not been able to have any contact with this company. I had originally marked everthing N/A, but Angie's List would not accept the report unitl I graded. I cannot really grade this vendor.

+ -1 moreI called the company and the lady was very nice. I indicated I found them on Angie's List. They were a bit late getting out; I called twice. But once the gentleman got here he was very nice. He was a little concerned because the plumbing that was going to be required was going to be a lot more extensive than both of us had originally thought. But he was happy to get underneath the house which is a challenge. He was able to do it and made a recommendation to switch out a pipe but I had elected not to do that and of course he was happy to do the service. While the price was a little more expensive than I anticipated other than that I was very pleased with the quality of the work, the way the gentleman had approached us and I would certainly use this company again.

I called their office and the lady who answered the phone informed me that they did not have a record of my appointment and the person who was there when I had scheduled on Friday had some personal things to take care of and would not be in the office that day and had not written anything down. She then said they did have a tech out in the field that day and she would call and see if he could make it over to us. I asked her to please call me back right away so she could let me know 1. If the tech could come out that day and 2. About when we could expect him should he have time. She informed me she would call right back. After 3pm (1.5 hours later) no call + no show my realtor and I left the house. It’s now the next day and still no one has called. This is just bad business and I do not intend to contact this company again.
Description of Work: My wife and I have a home under contract that we want to buy. After our home inspector found some issues with some of the plumbing we wanted to get an estimate on how much it would cost to fix and how much we could ask from the seller. I contacted South East Total to come out and give us an estimate and scheduled an appointment for a Monday afternoon at 1pm.

+ -1 moreMy job was rescheduled over a time span of at least 3 months. Job consistently was pushed back with either jobs of higher importance, weather, or sick calls from employees. During this time company was apologetic, and professional. However it was worth the wait as they handled all needs thru health department and followed all requirements. They left the work area clean and free of all debris. The guys worked very hard in the hot sun. I would call them again without a second thought.
Description of Work: Had problems with septic seeping thru the ground. After the second visit with a backhoe, it was decided it would be better just to replace the entire septic system due to previous installation was sub standard.

water heater repair
+ -1 moreAt our new home, the gas water heater needed to be relit. The owner of the company happened to be on Saturday duty, and he arrived promptly and took care of the problem. He also made sure my husband knew how to do the task himself next time. We even used his Angie's coupon for a discount. A nice man and great service.
Description of Work: We live in a new house. We inadvertently turned off the gas to the water heater. We did not know how to relight it. The company owner arrived on a Saturday to relight the water heater.

I added Cleveland Tn to my angies list and called this plumbing co from Angies list due to very high reports from other customers .. I called and explained that this was my mother-in-laws tenant and that she was in Cleveland Oh with my wife and sister in law ..they immediately dispatched a plumber to the cleveland tn address and inspected the situation .. water leak in hot water tank and water line broken behind wall and high water pressure in the lines .. I hired them and he immediately started the job and completed it in about 3 hours .. very professional and they called me every step of the way to keep me informed ..

+ -1 moreOverall I was very pleased with the work the plumber performed. There were some issues with communication, but the work itself was excellent. That's the bottom line for me, that my sink was installed well. We have already called Southeast to do further work for us.
Description of Work: I ordered a replacement sink and faucet for my kitchen. I contacted Southeast Total Service about installing them for me. They came out within a couple of days. Unfortunately, I hadn't opened the box the sink was in and when the plumber opened it, the sink was damaged (my lesson, open and inspect the merchandise!). I reordered the sink and we set the date for installation for the next week. Again, the sink was damaged when it arrived! Finally, the third sink was fine and I called to set an appointment for installation. I was told I'd be called back with a date/time, but no one called, so I contacted Southeast again. I was told that I was scheduled for the next day. The next day right before the plumber arrived he called to say that there had been a mistake in scheduling and he'd not be able to come until the next week. Finally, the day came for installation and it went smoothly. The plumber did a great job of expanding the slot for the sink and getting it installed correctly. It looks great and all works fine.

Description of Work: Caulked a leak around my shower faucet. I continued to have a small leak and hired someone else to caulked the rest of the bathtub. The grout was raised away from the tub which was causing water to leak when taking showers.

+ 2 moreI had someone else install my gutters and they were not working properly. I had water dripping over at the doorways and I couldn't figure out how they weren't catching the water. It was destroying the doors and windows around my house. SETS came out with a very reasonable estimate and repaired the gutters. He ran into a few unknowns from damage already set in and repaired all without going over my budget.
Description of Work: Repaired existing gutters and replace parts as needed. Installed rain guards. Repaired ceiling fans and lights. Replace electrical outlets.

(late in the afternoon). I was confident they could help me with my water problem. The service technician was out there the next morning and located the problem right away. By the end of the afternoon, my leak was fixed and I got the property rented that same week.
