These guys were very detail-oriented and let us know each step of the way about what modification would be required to this 60's era house to accommodate the installation. I highly recommend them.

They were very good. I would say that their price was a little on the high side but I think that I could trust their work. They have been in business for a while and they have always stood by what they did. They were reliable and they came when they were supposed to. I think that that is mainly what you look for in a company like that.

Initially I requested the systems original installer to come out to fix, but not only did he only do what was in effect a temporary fix (THREE DIFFERENT TIMES IN ONE WEEK and didn't even bother to call or return on the fourth call!) that he considered permanent (unfreezing and restarting the unit), he also missed the excruciatingly obvious issues that the gentleman from Reliable spotted almost immediately as he began diagnosing the problem. The first was a wire that had no cap and was lying against the packing paper and plastic in the interior of the outside unit. The wire had burned a hole in the plastic and surrounding metal of the cover. The connection itself was cripy fried - both the tech and I were thanking God that a fire had not started in the unit. The Reliable tech stripped off the bad coating and recovered the wires as well as put a new connection and cap on it. Then he dug out the pipe that was supposed to be the run-off - apparently it had been planted into the ground as opposed to on top of it. He then went inside under the house to where the upstairs zone system was and immediately came back with a serious issue - part of the wiring was done backwards - so when the system was openning it was actually supposed to be closed and vice versa. Since we had just purchased the house in November, we had never really given the air conditioning portion of the system a workout and because it was upstairs and my boys use very heavy blankets, they never really complained about it being too cold during the winter months either. However, we quickly realized that the upstair system never really worked properly when the downstairs unit was active. Anyway, the Reliable tech also fixed the wiring there and after both were fixed and he explained how to optimally use a zone system, we have never had another issue. Not only did he come out early Sunday morning to get it done (after I had gone back and forth for nine days with the other people), but he actually GOT IT DONE THE FIRST TIME. Now the only problem we have is it is too cold for both the up and downstairs and we have to keep both turned up to 77 to not freeze! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to the great folks at Reliable! I will never use anyone else.

I called Reliable Heating and Air on Friday and made arrangements to meet with a sales rep the following day. Mr. Cain was professional and courteous. He walked us through all our options. The installers arrived on time on Tuesday. By that afternoon my home was cool and comfortable. Gary, one of the installers was also courteous and professional. He even played with my over zealous dog. And he patiently showed me how to operate the new thermostat. The new unit has been in for two weeks with no problems. I highly recommend Reliable.

They were very responsive and arrived on time. The tech gave us suggestions about what the problem was and quoted prices before performing any work. He walked thru our system, answered questions and took the time to explain everything in detail. The only reason I gave a B for responsiveness was that the tech suggested that our ducts were not properly sized for our house and unit. He said he would note it on our file and have someone contact us for a follow up. We have not yet heard back from them, but we have been busy and haven't followed through ourselves either.

Very pleased, big job, very respectable and clean up was very well appreciated. I hightly recommend using Reliable Do ask questions, don't be afraid to to watch the guys perform. It is interesting. Althought I thought the cost was higter than I orginally anticipated, they do alot of extra's and this cost is not for an annual redo, it makes sense.

Don't take these guys at their word. Get a second opinion before installing any new equipment they recommend. IMPORTANT UPDATE A couple of days after submitting the above review I received a phone call from David Walker at Reliable. He was polite and professional and seemed genuinely concerned at what happened. David asked me to relate to him what had happened and exactly what the second technician had done to repair the furnace. He has offered to refund the service fee we paid Reliable for the service call and requested the opportunity to come out and see the part that was repaired by the second technician in order to see what they missed. Everybody makes a mistake, and I'm satisfied that's what happened in this case.

Our furnace was not heating. I called Reliable; they were able to come the same day. They said they would arrive in the afternoon, and they called before they came. Very professional, honest and helpful.

Response time was good from a call back to scheduling a time to come to the house. Arrived right on time and service took about an hour or slightly more. Very professional and explained what he was doing.

Every year it seems like one of the furnaces doesn't work during the first cold snap. This year, neither worked. The upstairs unit has a pilot light which I tried to light, but I couldn't get a flame. This gas furnace is at least twenty years old, so we have been lucky with it so far. The downstairs unit has electronic ignition, and I had no idea what to do about that one. I made an appointment two days ahead. Eric the service technician arrived early in the promised window of time, was very pleasant and professional, and worked quickly. He discovered that he couldn't light the pilot either, and by a process of elimination (which he talked me through), Eric determined that the main valve needed replacing. He had one on the truck, so the repair was made quickly. When he moved to the downstairs unit, he found that a simple adjustment got that one running. After a couple of weeks, the upstairs heat wouldn't turn on, and I saw that the pilot was out. We had had a very windy day and night, and, because the furnace gets its combustion air from the attic, I think the wind blew out the pilot. I thought I'd better let Reliable come look at it again. Eric came back, lit the pilot, and checked out the furnace again. No charge for the second visit, and no problems since. This was the first time I have used Reliable, and I picked them because of their excellent ratings on Angie's List.

me, that I I had used another man, for many years.He checked my unit twice a year. However, no longer.He told me, that I had a different problem, and wanted to charge me much more, than Reliable. The heat flowing from my vents, tells ms me, I need to stay with Reliable!

Reliable had previously published a $40 off coupon in the Chattanooga paper which was valid through the end of 2012, so the cost plus their reputation allowed me to schedule with Reliable with some degree of confidence. When I called to schedule the appointment, they said their service guy would call sometime between 8 and noon on the scheduled day when he was ready to get to my house. On the day, I didn't get the call until close to 1:00. The service man was very professional and did extensive checking and cleaning. He did spray some cleaning solution on the coils of the inside unit with the blower on which ended up smelling pretty strongly throughout the house for a while. Over an hour was spent checking and cleaning. Everything checked out and the coupon was successfully applied to the cost. Based on the thoroughness and overall professionalism, I am likely to use their services again.

Their work and service are one of a kind in this area. I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone . They have excellent service. They were efficient, prompt, and excellent in all components of their service.

I placed an emergency call through Reliable's website on Friday night. Richie responded Saturday morning. He had a couple of cancellations earlier in the day but by that time I had left home and could not be back in time. Nevertheless, he persisted and was at my place Saturday evening. After 30 or so minutes of work he completed the job. Great service at a great price!

He was prompt in arriving and very courteous. Whenever we have called Reliable they have always given good service and we thank them. They always arrive and immediately go to work and find what is wrong with the heat pump and if a part is required they usually have been able to repair at that visit and then will present us with an itemized bill upon completing the job and preparing to leave the site. We have been happy with their service. In this case we were only charged for the service call and then called our electrician, who finalized the repair.

Reliable is reliable. If you have a contract with them, you get preferential service. They will come right out and be there within a few hours.
