They did not perform any services.

Unfortunately I contacted them last Thursday with a list of projects that I needed done. I heard back from Doug the same day and let him know I was completely open as far as appt time for the estimate. I didn't hear from him Friday or the weekend. So I emailed him my info again and asked him to come anytime during this week as I am trying to get these projects scheduled prior to leaving town. However, he was unable to come give me an estimate because according to him they only do estimates when they are in your area. He was working in the Chickamauga area this entire week and wouldn't be able to get to me. He did wish me well on finding another contractor. I didn't like that I had to follow up with him or that they only come for an estimate if they are in your area or I guess if they are slow. I hate when a business is too busy for new customers but I will take his well wishes and find another contractor. Good luck to future customers I only hope they are in your area when you need them.

I called the company and got an estimate on the phone. I asked them tio come out to do the work and when they finished the plumbing job a few days later we rehired them to come out to do some painting. Very professional...cleaned up throughly after the job was done. I am was so happy with the service that I am looking for things that need doing so we can use a friendly and helpful service to help us. Thanks Angie....

After the company was contacted, the crew came out and provided a free review of requested work. The estimated cost of the work was provided by email and I approved the work and estimate via email The company replied that they put the work on their schedule for the week after Christmas 2012. That was the last I heard from them. I would not work with this company again -- I do not trust a company that does not keep commitments.

Very friendly and knowledgable. Admitted when something was out of his area of expertise-honest. Extremely fair pricing with exceptional service. Very pleased!

I discovered standing water and that it was related to the hot water heater. I immediately phoned Doug; then cleaned up the water. He was able to assess the problem, work me into his existing schedule and offered to come sooner if the problem worsened. The cost was within the estimate. All I had to do was keep towels down around the water heater to keep the water from the slow leak from spreading until he arrived.

He was very courteous. Many people would charge for a service call, but he did not. I was impressed with that, so I wanted to give him something for his trouble.

Found Doug Helmick through Angie's List, and I am elated to feel I have a Handyman that I can call for projects small and large! Without charge for "advice," he even recently looked at a sink drain hardware problem we had in 2 different sinks and told us how we could fairly quickly and easily fix it ourselves ... and it worked! Doug is about customer service and satisfaction, not just how much he can make on a job!

Doug came by and gave us an estimate on the wiring the day after I called. He arrived promptly 2 days later to to begin the work. The job was completed in less than a week. The house had 2 circuit breaker boxes and 1 fuse box. Doug rewired all of them into one circuit breaker box. When he finished the wiring i mentioned that the living room floor had a slight dip in it. He crawled underneath and found that one of the flooring joists was in need of repair. He came back the next week and jacked up the floor and replaced the joist. About 2 months later I called Doug about building me a raised bed for vegetables. He came by the next day to measure and give me an estimate. The price was right so I hired him to build the raised bed for me. He completed the job in about 2 days and we have been enjoying homegrown tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, and green beans all summer.

Doug was very professional. He and his assistant were punctual and performed the services requested. There was a problem with one of the soffits drooping after a few weeks, but one call and they were back out to my house to fix it (it just needed longer staples - as I live in a 92-year-old house). All in all, it was a great experience and I will gladly call Doug whenever I need any Handyman work done around my home.

I had plumbing issues, one of which was pressing, and the owner's son attended to it right away. He was very professional. The cost was extremely fair, the response to my call was very prompt, and the problem was fixed right away. While he was there, I requested further work to be scheduled (electrical), which would have to be done by the owner. The son took a lot of time to get all the information about the work I wanted done, and assured me his father would call. The call never came, so I called. He explained he was going on vacation soon and asked that if he forgot to call me when he returned, would I call him again. Hmmm, I'm thinking maybe not... one time I can let go, but not twice ... and it DID happen again after his vacation.

Doug is well prepared to handle every kind of home maintenance and repair. He completed many projects in my home and I was very pleased with his work. I found him to be honest and conscientous. He is a busy guy lately, but like all good things, "Happy Home Repairs" was worth the wait.

Doug promptly returned my phone call the evening I called, just as his recording said he would. He arrived - on a Saturday - at no additional charge. He repositioned a light fixture in a laundry area to mae room for a stacked washer and dryer. I found doug to be professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He even checked a water line going to my dishwasher then advised me to find an appliance repairman for THAT particular problem. Just a pleasure to have in my home and I have already scheduled additional services. He is busy, so get on his list!

It went very well. He ws on time and punctuality.

Doug came out and we went into the duplex and he went over everything I wanted done. He made some recommendations about other things that could be done at same time and I agreed. He then made up a detailed estimate and gave to me. Once I had a chance to go over the estimate we agreed to have them do the work. He was there early the next morning and did all the work we had planned and then left a clean, neat, place behind. While he was working I decided to do a few more things and once again he made a detailed estimate and we agreed and he completed that work. I would highly recommend this company.

He called and said when he would be here. Will follow up on his advice.

Work went great came out and gave us an estimate and time when he could start. Started on time finished in less than a week and within estimate. Work was done very professionally, they took pains to keep dust and debris from rest of house. Will use them again.

Doug came out to give me an estimate and was happy to talk about and advise me on other projects I was thinking about doing. He then gave me an estimate on the small plumbing job listed above but said that he might not be able to get to it for a few weeks and that he'd call if something opened up. Later that day he called and said that he had free time the next day. Doug came out the next day and completed the work in about 3-4 hrs. Great work! Love the new faucets and water pressure is a lot better at 50psi rather than 150psi.

He is excellent and I'm going to use him again. The small bathroom was about $1,000. The price was reasonable for the work he did. He actually came in on the big bathroom after I had fired two contractors and he finished it up. He is not the cheapest but his prices are fair. I wish that I had hired him the first time around.

This contractor is very busy and as a result needs to schedule work fairly far out ( 1-2 months). This is a family based business, that performs quality work at a reasonable price. Doug is very responsive and explains what he is going to do in a clear manner. His experience allows him to offer suggestions geared towards correcting an issue at a reasonable price. We are extremyl happy that we used him and are planning to do so again in the near future (April 2012).

Doug was very professional and cleaned up the mess. I would definately use him again.

The work area was thoroughly sealed and all floor surfaces protected during the project. The ceiling now looks better than it did before the damage occurred, and the cleanup afterward was excellent. Doug also helped me with a replacement window, and much of that was done without charge. He also provided lots of free advice. I couldn't have asked for a better job.
