He provided a very thorough and accurate estimate. All of the work was completed at the quoted priced. I used Doug for a couple projects now, and I would highly recommend him.

He dropped by to check the screen door that had been blown down by the tornado, and he said he could get it done by the end of the month (April). I haven't seen him since, and he as 10 hours left in the month. Will he make it? What do you think? I DID call him today to find out what he is doing, since I haven't seen him.

Work has not been done yet. To be completed by March 2020.

Doug was a true professional! I am so glad I found him. He is reliable and knows his craft. He had to do extra work since there was some additional rot that we could not see. He informed me immediately of what was needed prior to doing the work. i will continue to use him.

Doug (the owner) came out and estimated the work for our repair needed. We ordered a new door and window transom. The order was placed in November but we were warned that it could take 4-6 weeks to arrive. Holidays, cold weather put the job off schedule but in February we were able to have Doug and his crew install the door and window as well as paint the exterior of the door and jamb. He did a fine job and got all of the work done over 2 days. His scheduling and communication could use improvement but the work that was done was great.

This is the second time I have used them. Great work, they had to troubleshoot a problem on one of the lights that was traced to an existing issue in my home. They responded in a timely manner to my request to schedule the work, as well as completing the work in a timely manner. Cost was very reasonable and will definitely use again.

Great service. Called on Monday, and he came on Tuesday to do the work. Cleaned up the work area when he was done. No issues, and everything is working fine.

Never received a return call or email after leaving two emails and one phone message. It was during the Christmas time so I gave them about a week plus to return one or the other (i.e. email or phone call) but never received a response to either one. That appears to a lack of professionalism and certainly a lack of administrative skills. They may do good work but if you can't get in touch with them how are you going to trust their responsiveness and communication when/if you contract with them to do a job!?

The work went well. They were able to match the paint color and fix all of the damaged area. They had to work around rainy weather but communicated with me how the weather would affect their schedule. It was over a month before they could get to me due to other commitments on their schedule but Doug told me that during the initial estimate so I was aware.

Great people. Reasonable price. Great to work with!

Contacted Doug on Thursday via email and he responded promptly. He was able to do the work on Monday. Great service !

The area had been repaired about 10 yrs ago in an inferior fashion and the wood had rotten areas and on the roof it had been improperly handled so that rain water was directed away from the gutter into the wood that hadn't been sealed so it wicked the moisture and rotted. Doug was very thorough in determining the problem. The workmanship was excellent and I will hire them again.

Was the only person that was able to stop the leak!

Repairs were made promptly and to expectations. Very easy to work with owner and son.

Doug is a very thoughtful individual who will tell you exactly what you need and if the job is outside his scope. He met me at the agreed upon time. Doug is a very personable man and I felt very comfortable having him in my house. Unfortunately my job wasn't something he was willing to take on, but being a former limited licensed electrician he gave me advice on the electrical panel as well as told me that if I decided to get the wall knocked down, to make sure whoever did it used the correct beam to provide the proper support. Doug seems to be a very trustworthy individual and I wouldn't hesitate to use him for a project.

Great!! Porch railing was installed for the price stated in estimate and project was completed when promised. Included painting the new railing (treated wood) and existing 6X6 posts on the porch. Two of the posts required moving/straightening (minor adjustments) to ensure porch railing was straight). Looks great!! We did have to wait a couple of months for the project to be completed because of other work already scheduled by Happy Home Repairs, but that was also stated up front and it was worth the wait. We will use Happy Home Repairs again in the future.

Very pleased with this experience. Doug had good product knowledge and gave helpful feedback on project options. He listened to our ideas, let us know the costs for different approaches, and shared his opinion based on his experience. We ended up going with his recommendations, and we're glad we did. During the project, Doug communicated well about when he would be on-site and the progress along the way (we mostly used email).
